Mark all tips you say a very good. Not shore if playing with electric is a good thing. Horses for courses. But get people to move caravan back and forward to stop putting flat points on tyres.
Gray that door my man. also we want a cartoon character caravan sticker of you and you company g Designing and making to put on the back of my caravan any chance of designing ones to sell in your shop with your famous sayings on them? Can take a 10% cut for the idea on each sold lol. Keep up the good work both of you.
Can you do a video on taking off the two parts of the a frame cover, to a lunar quaser,or similar caravan, was thinking of putting a bike rack on a frame thanks
Hi Mark, we have left the dark side, and will be returning to caravans in March 😃. We sold our Motorhome yesturday, and only lost £3000 in 3yrs of ownership 😃👍 i thought that was dam good deal. We love your videos, and the professional camera operator, well with out her your be like Jason and little Kevin 🤣 Where can i find the link, to your shop? Take care both Lee & Lorrie
Wow that's a great choice lol. Not bad on price either. The shop link should be at the top of the video description. Hopefully we have some bits that will help when you come over to the light side lol.
It’s a pity they don’t stop manufacturing altogether. I Had two brand new twin axle Senators and both were useless. The first one lasted two years before they brought it back from me and the second one went back to the factory every year to have new front and rear panels. There customer service could not care less as they refused to talk to me when I questioned their build quality. I am not alone with this.
Nice little video on changing tow hitch pads BUT! Do not like your idea of silicone or Vaseline for the O ring. IF, a very big IF, lube is needed it should be VERY VERY VERY small. Like the walk throughs though.
If you have to spell out you need to disconnect to people they are the type of person that should not touch it .don't ponder to idiots on line .keep up the good videos 👍
1:21 I don’t think commercial vehicle is correct. For example, a Ford Ranger or Transit is classed as commercial on the V5 but still restricted to 3.5 tonnes and therefore 7m in length max towing. I think it should be a category C vehicle.
Great car's Geoff, we had a xc90 didn't miss a beat with our 1400kg caravan. One word of warning would be to check what weight the one your looking at can actually tow, because they have no separate chassis like a pick up or landrover towing weight is a lot lower
My big gas ring only stays on the low flame setting no matter how much I twist the control knob. Any ideas? The other 2 smaller rings work as they should go from low to high as I turn the knobs. Could there not be enough gas getting to the big ring or another issue? Also your wife with the maths debate comment ;-) 😉 had me in stitches
Only "Merch" you should do is maybe mugs, floor mat, jockey wheel/hitch covers. Don't bother with clothing as EVERYONE on youtube is doing that, maybe caravan accessories with your logo on it would sell well! Just an idea🤔
Go grey with the top locker (not much in the way of options really). Never mess about with electrics unless qualified. 9 times out of 10 it'll be a fuse so that's your 1st port of call. Bailey retreat willow that you have there was the 4 berth version that weighed a collosal 2167 kg when laden with the 6 berth sycamore weighing over 100 kg more. The retreat models were showcased at the NEC in 2012 and were built solely for static seasonal purposes, only for them to be discontinued after 2013 due to lack of demand. Also the build quality was poor with numerous damp issues coming up through the floor areas . I for one would never buy an ex seasonal van due to it undoubtedly having heavy use.
Well done Mark on the disconnect procedure. I’d still recommend leaving any 230 volt work the the trained experts. Keep the videos coming please.
Thanks Philip yes agree. 👍

Yes It's only really if some sort of electrical background that people should try to do anything. Thanks Colin
Like the Amazon shop Mark great stuff 👍
Thanks, let us know if anything we should have links for. Thanks 👍
Exellent video sir
Great video as always. Looking forward to your next update buddy

Cupboard looks crap I’d just put back to original, good tip about the gas keep it up love your videos
It's too yellow isn't it. Maybe off white - seem that in new Swift models ☺️
Yea wasn't a big fan.
Can you do a video on taking off the two parts of the a frame cover, to a lunar quaser,or similar caravan, was thinking of putting a bike rack on a frame thanks
They normally just have 2 screw at the front, them may be rivets through gas box, or just adhesive to chassis. 👍
Would look really good if it was matching grey
Thanks Paul.
Is the blow torch used to find gas leaks
Works every time lol
Hi how do you blow the oven flame out but would a carbon monoxide detector pick up any gas
Thanks john
Yes carbon monoxide detector should pick it up. Difficult to blow the oven flame out, need a leaf blower 🤣

Thanks Mark, i will check it out
Shocking!
"And she could come along and plug it in " PMSL :)
You never know 🤣🤣
Wonder why Bailey stopped manufacturing the Retreat models ? Were they not popular ? 🤔
Yes not enough demand

Cheers Mark, what vehicle would tow the big green machine edition ?, and I would say go grey with the top locker’s,👍👍.
It has to be a commercial vehicle, but shouldn't be towed on the roads. 👍 our VW T5 had no issues just moving it around.

Umbrellas and caps would be
Good. What about tow hitch covers?
Good Ideas, thanks Simon
I’m still in favour of grey for that cupboard.
Amazon shop = wooden bed slats Ive used all the spares up behind the drawers :))))
Shame you cant retrofit composite slats ;-)
I think go grey to match..
Thanks Steve
Hi Mark. I'm thinking of going for a 2 ltr 190 bhp automatic tow car. Volvo. Have you any comments or your viewers ? Cheers Geoff
Iv not sorry, I think the volvo are very good tow cars from what I hear though. Hopefully someone will back this up in the comments 👍

@Chris Capewell thanks Chris. Very helpful. Power OK also towing weight OK. I intend to speak to local tow bar fitting Co tomorrow.
I just wonder if "barstool" is similar to "bar-steward" ??
I think so lol

It will need a clean, we will have to do a video about it as you need to strip the ring down. Then use a cleaner and small needle to clean the jet.
@@thecaravanplace video would be great
My wife definitely wouldn’t try kill me by plugging the mains cable in, she’s more likely to hit me over the head with the gas bottle.
🤣🤣🤣
I liked that,

It would be easier to use poison.😂
Hahaha haha I'm not coming to you for a drink. 🤣🤣🤣
Wife could get away with murder hehe
They always do 🤣🤣🤣
