Another great job done. I’m no watch expert, but these older Omegas, certainly seem to be very good quality.👍

This wacht reminds me of the one I inherited (cal.23.4SC ) from my father, who inherited it from his father and this one from my great-great-grandfather.4 generations.

a very old watch, and a very good one. I made several of these and even though they were about 90 years old, they still worked great

@@Karol235 by the serial number, it is between 1934 and 1939, probably 1938, plus an interesting case ref CK 650.
unfortunately it requires a little more love, but in Chile is difficult to find watchmakers who see antiques, luckily I found the son of the one who probably my great-grandfather bought it, and today it is running badly but it runs, it is delayed several minutes a day.
But my father could not use it for many years because he had a little accident when he retired.

@@manuelsuazo1125 A very common problem in such old watches is the main spring

@@Karol235 has a handmade piece, which holds the central gear in position (I am not a watchmaker, but an engineer).
I suspect that's the problem, but I don't have many options to compare, the watchmaker did what he could and let it work is fine, the perfect is the enemy of the good.
thanks for the suggestion but I already changed the spring last year.

    hello
can you make a new hairspring for omega like this? video ruclips.net/video/aSE0NbAqOIs/видео.html
I've got the same watch as this (omega 30t2) and the hairspring was completely destroyed, a overcoil hairspring is impossible to find and you are correct on that, for 6 years, i have not found one watchmaker or even omega accreditor who can repair my omega with new hairspring to make. even omega authorized service centres does not have spare omega hairspring. Would you be willing to repair my omega with a new hairspring like you did in this video? I'm from the US by the way.

hello, there are lots of parts on wbay. spring for 30r2 is no problem. the whole mechanical mechanism too. there's no point in doing it all over again. the fastest and the cheapest is required. younger 26x/28x calibers are also suitable. they were 30t2 with anti-shock. I don't know which one you have. but you can replace the entire balance at a price lower than repair with a guarantee of good operation
