I served in US Army @Fort Hood for 6 months 1990! Luv Texas, want move to Texas asap. Miss weather and life style there. I been in storms before. God bless Texas!
I live in Killeen, was in town Friday night, and follow all the storm chasers who chased near there. There was no "tornado tearing through town." There was a brief touchdown that was rain-wrapped in North Fort Hood. It was a crazy supercell for sure, and there WERE tornadoes, but nothing like is described here. Also, some of those images are of different tornadoes.
My neighborhood and house was hit by this tornado! We are in a rural neighborhood on the north western border of Fort Hood. We don't have tornado sirens that we can here where we are. We have a storm shelter, but the storm hit so fast we did not have time to get into it. A lot of damage to many of our houses, but fortunately no one was hurt and no loss of our animals, that I know of. Many of us have chickens, goats, horses, and other animals. It could have been worse.
Living here now in Killeen, my first ever experience. It was definitely scary but so amazing what Mother Nature can do. It was rain wrapped and we couldn’t see anything. We definitely got the outflow of the tornado winds & rain. It was bad, the thunder, hail & lightning were super strong and loud. Definitely was in my safe spot, had the pups with me too.. Nothing to mess around with!
I live outside of Pittsburgh and every time I hear the tornado sirens it sends chills down my back. I hear a siren like that… I’m MOVING and not playin games. Sending thoughts and well wishes to anyone affected ❤
I used to live in Copperas Cove, Tx right outside Killeen. Never had any close calls while I was there. This was insane and they just missed total devastation. If that hit Fort Hood it would be catastrophic.
Had a friend over and was riding my horse watching this bizarre storm blow in, I was in South Texas, but something about the high heat during the day and the clouds told me it was tornado weather. Shortly after my Grandma in SA took a picture of the storm outside, it had an eerie green glow about it. Feel like we dodged a bullet with that storm!
Still remember a tornado hit out in training area out past East Gate. My wife just moved from Germany and just left Hallmark after introducing jer to Ranch and all things fried. From the door you could see the tornado. She was like " what kind of hell is this place I just moved to?". 😅😅😅 Next TX life lesson was fire ants. We definitely had weird weather in Killeen, Hood, Cove area last Thursday and Friday late afternoon
When it looks like it is not moving, that is when the tornado is coming STRAIGHT AT YOU! Time to get the kids and get in a safe place, hopefully underground. Do not worry about taking a pic, video, etc. Get somewhere safe ASAP!!! Please!!!!
I live in south central OK, about 75 miles SSE of OK City and while we have not had a tornado here in many years, it's videos like this that had me out double checking my storm center! This stuff is terrifying.
Many people grew up afraid of thunderstorms especially years ago when less was known. I have always been fascinated with them. Supercells and other fronts that have structured clouds are awesome looking and an incredible show of nature. Too bad they sometimes go to far and produce tornadoes . However when one forms out away from populated areas they steal the show.
A TVS or Tornado Vortex Signature Doppler radar scan can detect a 'couplet' or area where tight rotation has developed long before the rotation touches the ground. This is when the warnings are issued. The warning times have increased drastically over the last 20 years providing much more time to find safe shelter. The technology allows warnings to be issued long before an actual tornado forms.
My mom lives there and I told her just because you have lived there for so long doesn’t mean it can’t get tornadoes. She didn’t believe it could happen there because “they live in a valley”. Welp. Tornadoes happen anywhere in Texas and she learned this weekend.
It's disturbing to me that this is the first I'm hearing of this. And I live near Fort Worth. I just heard about strong thunderstorms. I didn't hear about a tornado watch / warning for this area. I recently bought a bicycle helmet to wear while I wait out the tornado warnings in my hall closet. I'm going to make enough space for me to put a chair in there while I wait too. 🌬🌪🌪 I hope everyone is okay. 🌻
Yeah, I live in NRH, so whenever there's a severe weather risk, I put myself on Weather Watch. I don't remember seeing a tornado watch for Ft. Worth on Friday. I have a son who lives there and also my closest friend, so I do my best to keep myself aware. Now after seeing this video I realize that I need to watch more closely at areas that aren't necessarily under a watch.😮
I had to call my grandparents & have them hide in the laundry room it was so close. They are on the south side of lake Belton. I was worried storm could shift & come at them. Was watching it on radar all the way from San Antonio.
I just want to wish everybody the best and hopefully you all are safe down there in Kaline after that tornado my wife and I live in corpus Cove on the backside of Fort Hood and it barely missed us and all my prayers go out to you guys
Education to community level is so important to preserve life. Local sheriff department with first responders save lives in a tornadic situation a soon as the storm passes . TX and OK can be right in the cross hairs . Listen to Dr Reed Timmer and in AK James Spann weather man take care stay safe people .
😮😮Oh my gosh that looked horrible and big I seen the damage prayers to everyone in these towns with all the tornado outbreak you all keep safe thank you for the video
Nice Footage. It's Supercell & Tornado, no such thing as a 'Supercell Tornado'. I have heard a/ the term -'Tornadic Supercell', maybe that's what you were implying. Cheers.
What do you want to do turn it off? That's how people get warned. The best way however it is to get a weather radio you can buy those at Walmart for like 30 bucks.

My favorite place is Harker Heights TX where we lived 3 different times when my dad got stationed at Fort Hood. I really miss Texas so much. ❤

Thank God it stayed out around the range and didn’t hit the hangars or the barracks. That would have been a complete disaster!
LOL I had to watch the video thinking I missed something because I watched the storm go right over me South of FH and saw nothing
We live there during the 90’s . Beautiful place and cool place for the kids and military families. God bless all of you.

3:10 That's a sky I could go the rest of my life not seeing in person
I live outside of Pittsburgh and every time I hear the tornado sirens it sends chills down my back. I hear a siren like that… I’m MOVING and not playin games.
Sending thoughts and well wishes to anyone affected ❤
Wow that’s huge
It was bad yesterday in Killeen. Thank God that tornado stayed mostly out on the live fire range part of Fort Hood. It was out there forever.
Me too, I lived in Fort Hood, Texas 6 months in 1990. Miss it there much!
Sending prayers in abundance Killeen, Texas. God be with you- keep the faith. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏O:)

This is one of the benefits of moving to Texas. You get to experience all sorts of interesting weather.
That’s a benefit??? It’s more deadly weather than interesting weather in my opinion. You couldn’t pay me to live there!!!
A massive tornado is a benefit to you? You ok hun lol....joking btw
No thanks
That's why I'm in the Foothills if NC😊
I wouldn't call that a benefit
Lost power here in Copperas Cove (down the road from Ft Hood) for 3 hrs
God knows who to smite! thank god!
God ❤'s tornadoes !
3:19 "They don't pay me enough to herd carts in a twister!"
I could’ve sworn I saw rotation in a fast moving cloud That day.
I was stationed at ft. Hood. Couldn't have happened to a nicer place
Tornado seems a common phenomenon in the US. It happens many times a month! I don't wish to experience such a scary thing!
Still remember a tornado hit out in training area out past East Gate. My wife just moved from Germany and just left Hallmark after introducing jer to Ranch and all things fried. Welcome to Texas! The place Mother Nature likes to rage on people. 😂
"We need to get inside, guys"... and keeps filming 🤦♀️
The intensity of the blue/green color is amazing...Lot of hail in the air to produce that much color.
i was at school when this happend i didnt see the tornado but it was terrifying
When it looks like it is not moving, that is when the tornado is coming STRAIGHT AT YOU! Time to get the kids and get in a safe place, hopefully underground. Do not worry about taking a pic, video, etc. Get somewhere safe ASAP!!! Please!!!!
Prayers, i hate tornadoes

Cell in his perfect form expanding his KI
Kills me that people’s homes they’ve worked so hard for, are destroyed.

A watch means conditions are variable to produce tornados. A warning means one has touched down.
And Emergency means you might be f'd!
A warning can also mean that the thunderstorm rotation has tightened enough that the cell is capable of producing a tornado in the short term
To Vic....yeah PDS is rather ominous

My brother lives in Killeen tx 😢 I have to try and get ahold of him today to see if he's alright 😢😢
Was Temple City in the warned area?
My mom lives there and I told her just because you have lived there for so long doesn’t mean it can’t get tornadoes. She didn’t believe it could happen there because “they live in a valley”.

I hope everyone is okay. 🌻
Start. Watching Ryan Hall Y’all on RUclips. He goes live whenever severe weather is coming. He mentioned this two days ago.
If there’s strong thunderstorms in tx then expect a tornado
Because this is Ft Hood, not Ft Worth and there were no tornado warnings for your area, at this time.

I hope that cow found shelter

Killeen, Copperas Cove.
You meant Copperas Cove where military folks hanging out? I knew where it is. 😮🎉
Is west of Fort Hood
Had strange weather in south Texas yesterday as well
Education to community level is so important to preserve life. Local sheriff department with first responders save lives in a tornadic situation a soon as the storm passes . TX and OK can be right in the cross hairs . Listen to Dr Reed Timmer and in AK James Spann weather man take care stay safe people .
It is pronounced Su-lay-dough.
This was a close one, I’m just west of Killeen….
I miss West Texas
😮😮Oh my gosh that looked horrible and big I seen the damage prayers to everyone in these towns with all the tornado outbreak you all keep safe thank you for the video
Hey, I was born there . . . never thought I would see it in the news. I hope everyone is safe.
"make sure to stay in your safe space" LoL
Mmmmmmmk....
Judgment from Hhigher.
Cool video, but the computer voice over is horrible
I'm stationed at hood but I'm in Germany
Probably was the wrath of all those women murdered on fort hoods base
Pray to God and cry out for Mercy, He wants you to have Him as the only Lord and Savior!!!🙏😔🙌Amen!
Can we not have an AI commentary please?
Not gonna lie, yesterday kinda sucked for us.
Just a little rain 🌧️🤦🏿♂️
No not just rain. There was one on the ground & I had to tell my grandparents to hide in the laundry room.
the "county judge" has no power anymore!..........
🌪️🔒no no no 👈
Nice Footage. It's Supercell & Tornado, no such thing as a 'Supercell Tornado'. I have heard a/ the term -'Tornadic Supercell', maybe that's what you were implying. Cheers.
yea but only rain and wind.
Tornado was on the ground. It hit a house, tore down trees, knocked down a cell tower, & snapped power lines.
GET INSIDE NOW AND TRAP YOURSELVES! DO NOT DRIVE AWAY FROM IT!
Do you need help? Go to Jesus and fell yourself at His feet.
WOW 🙄🙏🏼
Bad sound😠
It's pronuced Sa- Lay- Doe
Ex wife lives out there. Hoping she got picked up by the tornado.
And the rest of her dumbass family.
😂 🤣 what a savage
😂😂😂😂😂
Beautiful
😮
Mom says it’s my turn to get pinned
That town has seen enough heartache. Hope damage is minimal.
Really, really could have done without the warning siren.
What do you want to do turn it off? That's how people get warned. The best way however it is to get a weather radio you can buy those at Walmart for like 30 bucks.
I hate AI narration. And I've heard this AI narration. On too many, RUclips channels.
Don't look now = lts a nothing Burger
