Very good detailed video. Just finished installing the vortex rearsets as long as the brake light switch on my 2017 GSXR. Feels amazing. The brake light switch is very easy to install. Just remove the banjo bolt and thread the vortex brake light into master cylinder. Then splice the wires into the OEM wiring harness. Takes 10 minutes to do. It is recommended that you bleed the brakes after completed because air can get into the system. Although the brakes still feel sharp, I still am going to bleed them
Nice video, just installed Lightech rearsets on my GSXR 2012 this afternoon and this tutorial helped a lot ;) couldn't figure out the brake switch though, if you did a video about it please link it
Can this rearset be adjusted lower than factory height? My knees are killing me (old timer) but I still love riding sport bikes. I have a 2023 GSXR 750.
No we have never gotten that one done. It is a simple install most anyone can do. There are two wires from the banjo and they can be hooked up in any order. The toughest part of the project would be bleeding the brakes which we have a couple of videos for on our channel already. - Van
Excellent video. Just installed my rearsets but can’t seem to find your video on the brake light pressure switch. Can you shoot me in the right direction? Thanks bro
That is because we suck and never actually got that one done. End of the day that is a very simple install. Toughest part is bleeding the brakes and we have multiple videos on that. - Van
Hey very good tutorial. The tiny snap rings on the folding peg suck ass, i have snap ring pliers but the holes on the snap rings are so small i had to do you did to snap them on.
Hey Van Love your videos, I have been doing a lot of my own work on my 2012 zx6r ever since I found your site, I was wondering if you have a video on the vortex brake light pressure switch, I do have the vortex v3 rear set , and I ready to put the pressure switch on my bike.

There is a return spring in the master cylinder that gets the job more than done. We do not have a return spring on Max's MotoAmerica bike and there are zero issues with it. If it were an issue you would see it in the data which we do not. - Van
Cool but guys I have a gsxr and Everytime I turn turn it on it makes a clicking sound I've checked everything but it wouldn't come on not sending power to the motor

No this will only allow you to go higher and further back than the OEM position. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear I assume that's the case with all of the other rearsets?
Brilliant vid. Would cover not just Vortex sets but a lot of others too. Thanks Brian.
+Jim Walker Thanks for watching!

Did y’all ever do the brake switch video?

I installed everything correct greased the pivot pin and tried with and without the washer and the rear brake lever does not return
Why would u not do brake light switch that's part of switching this out and a pretty easy step.
That is an option for sure. We just did not do that with this install. - Van

Installed mine and my brake doesn’t spring back if it’s tightened. How much did you tighten yours 😭
Check the brake pedal pivot, you may need to remove the washer from between the pedal and the bracket. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear you’re awesome for replying to such an old video 🙏🏻 thank you 😊
@@sportbiketrackgear doesn’t work 💔
@@basicwhitegirl91u ever figure this out? I’m stuck same spot. OEM used a return spring but nothing on the vortex? Track day in the am ugh
@@Bikesandbikesandbikes never figured it out. I replaced a master cylinder and it’s okay but I don’t hit the rear ever

Are the 600 and 760 rearsets the same?
Yes they are the same kit. - Van
Is there no spring for the brake lever?

Do you have to buy the rear break switch separately from vortex?
Yes
Thanks for making videos on stuff like this makes me feel more confident about doing stuff to my bike, more vids on cbr600rr
the8jrfan No worries you are welcome and thanks for watching! - Van
watched this after being charged 2 hours labor to install a vortex rear set on my gsxr. sigh....
Always search RUclips for a good how to before you take it in. - Van
Way to hard to put on that snapper.
The folding tip is a bit of a challenge to install for sure. - Van
