My first ride blew me away. Shifting is so smooth now. I had issues with downshifting. These definitely solved that problem. There amazing and look pretty good to. Some of the best machining I've ever seen. Beautiful thick anodizing. Best mod I've done so far. Big thanks for the tutorial Van!
You are welcome, happy to hear it was helpful. Vortex did an amazing job with this kit, they are still on my bike now. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear yes they did. The bike definitely benefits in a huge way having bearings in the shifter. The OEM shifter was okay. Having bearings makes it dwell times feel so much more consistent. Now I have smooth shifts anywhere in the revs. The positions are perfect for me. I want them less aggressive compared to track riding. I move them up and back for track. Simple one minute adjustment is all it takes. Take care
Hey Brian,
Finally decided to add rearsets to my GSXR 1000! Watched all your video's and have narrowed it down to the Attacks or Vortex. Would love to have your feedback on both and which one you liked over the other and why.
Thanks,
Mark
We are running Vortex on all of our race bikes now. They have excellent feel and are easy to repair in the event of a crash. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear Thanks!! Will gave me a great price!!
Did set the rod to gp shift i can see the direction is changed of spindle
I've been looking at a lot of rearsets. I decided to go with Vortex. Just ordered this Vortex Rearset. I'm a street rider so will I need to order anything extra to for my back brake light to work properly?

You will need the 1.25 size. - Van
Nice video. I went with Attack Performance because of their ridiculous adjustability, but the Vortex kit looks like a solid option too.
Thanks for watching! We will have an install for the Attack kit on the GSXR 1000 in the next couple of weeks. This Vortex has a ton of adjust ability with this new design as well. - Van
flosserelli hey im torn between the two. How much more adjustability do the attack rear sets have over the vortex.
disarmyou84 I haven't installed them yet, but I haven't seen any that look _more_ adjustable. Everything your foot touches has some degree of adjustability. If you can't find a good position, then you are doing something wrong or your feet must be the size of Shaquille O'Neal's 😂
flosserelli oh ok I see. I think the vortex are better looking but adjustability is prob more important
disarmyou84 Personally, I like the AP carbon fiber heel guards, they complement the CF theme on my GSXR. I am not a fan of the gold/taupe set, but the black looks good on any bike. I agree you want something that looks good (preferably looks good _and_ stands out from the crowd). If you a really nice _looking_ set, go with Lightech. I don't know how adjustable they are, but they look amazing. They aren't cheap though.
Hey Brian! Greetings from Finland!
Have to ask you one thing. I have a 2017 R-model that I'm converting to a track bike. I've watched most of your videos about this bike, been really helpful while disassembling the bike. Thank you for that!
One thing I can't seem to find anywhere is how to convert the shift pattern to gp (race) shift pattern? You seem to have done it to your bike, but do you need to turn the shift rod upside down, I mean is there push/pull sensors in that rod, and does it work correctly if you don't turn it around? How is it done the right way? Thanks!
All you have to do is flip the shift knuckle over. This will make the change to GP Shift and not have any effect on the electronics. Thanks for watching and enjoy that bike! - Van
Thanks for the reply and for the advice, that's what I figured but wasn't sure. Sounds almost too easy. Thanks again and keep posting more videos of that bike!
Hey Van I’ve got the same bike but I’m 6’4” which off y’all a rearsets would give me the most forward and low leg position thanks so much!!!
These are the most adjustable pair we offer. That said none of them are intended to go lower than the OEM. You would typically install aftermarket rear sets to raise the pegs and move them back. - Van
Sportbike Track Gear gotcha do you think I should leave my oem pegs alone then instead of investing in something that probably won’t fit me any better
Hey Brian, I have the same bike and want to switch to GP shift. Will the factory quick shifter and blipper operate the same if I flip the shift lever to GP shift? Thanks in advance
Just flip the knuckle and you will be good to go. No other changes need to be made. - Van
Sportbike Track Gear thank you!
Hey I went on the site to purchase the the vortex rearsets but I need the use of my rear brake because I do do some street riding. Do you guys sell the bajo bolt you spoke of in the video to retain the functionality of the brake light?
disarmyou84 I got the Vortex brake light switch to go with my Attack Performance rearset:

Thank you for jumping in and helping out! - Van
flosserelli thanks!
First here! Nice vid Brian, keep it going.
Thanks for watching! - Van
