- Jaw-Dropping A.I. Technology Flawlessly Colors Black and White Photos, Better Than Photoshop! In this video, we will test and review what I feel is the best black and white image colorizer at the moment. We will throw some old photos, some simple black and white images, and also use the restore feature to correct the color of damaged photos.
In this lesson, we will also learn some fundamental Photoshop techniques to make the results even better and enhance the resolution. We will also learn to use some color correction techniques for accurate coloring of grayscale images.

Last September I began a serious attempt at astrophotography. I was amazed how complicated the hobby is...AND....how involved post processing is (and a necessary part). I was basically starting at ground zero with my knowledge of image processing and your videos were (and continue to be) a great help in learning PS. Usually PS is the last program used in complete in an AP image, after stacking and blending many sub frame images, either in one shot color, mono colors using various filters, or both. Some of the popular stacking/processing programs usually used prior to PS are Siril, Deep Sky Stacker, Pixinsight, Regixstax, etc. Have you ever tried AP post processing? You would probably excel due to your extensive knowledge of PS, especially curves, stretching histograms, etc. It is a fine line between enhancing an AP image and ruining it with over processing. Regardless, you are a great natural teacher and do not waste time during your videos. I have to rewatch several times to catch everything you say sometimes because just about everything you say is important. Thank you.

Most people fear A.I for gaining self awareness and conquering the world and all but what scares and amazes me about A.I is that it could and probably would purge or replace a high number of jobs and professions, which would ultimately result in us photoshop artists, graphic designers and video editors winding up broke. As much as I want A.I to improve and excel, I pray and hope it doesn't replace our passion, hobbies and livelihood

Any photo downloaded from MyHeritage (after enhancements are applied) are limited to 8bit colour and downsampled it as well, thus the difference with the original ones.

I've been using myheritage for a few days. It has done a marvelous job on most photos. However, on some photos, it failed to identify faces and, therefore, failed to enhance them. Then, on another photo, it added facial hair to a female in an old photo. I'm now trying to find a way to remove the facial hair on the enhanced photo (the rest of it is perfect).

I agree in part, it depends on what you need. If you have to colorize the photo, Neural PS is not the best choice. The same goes for restoration. Since you have to pay a licensing fee, Adobe should represent the best in photo processing and editing, rather than any licensed package, because you have to pay for a PS or PS + Illustrator combos, etc. So, this is important message for Adobe, which in my opinion it should take on board. AI will displace the big guys if they don't reinvent themselves, more tools, unique and easy photo editor process, etc., maybe they can lose a lot as it happened to Kodak at the time.
