I’m probably headed in this direction.. mainly because I’m gettin too old for gigging bands.. BUT… what’s missing is that vital interaction of human beings with one another and their instruments.. THATS MUSIC..! But I’m gonna keep on truckin..
I've been using this combination since the Aeros was released. I also use an MC8 to control the Aeros and MC6 to control the Beatbuddy. I have a Fishman TriplePlay on my guitar to pull sounds from a Roland synth. I am now playing music full time as a one-man-band and have completely closed my business. David Packouz is truly an innovator!
To generate ideas and beats and recording its great. Live, it’s a bit tedious and slow loading. Still can’t load files directly back to Aeros. Hopefully soon. You really need the Midi Maestro to use the 6 track to full potential. It’s definitely a work in progress. The exp pedal input still has no function.
The zoom R24 dgital recorder can do similar all in one package. Up to 24 looped or normal tracks, drum macine, on-board effects, etc. I own 3 R24s. For a singer-songwriter a looper, or something like the R24, is essential.
The trouble with loop's is you get stuck in them. Plus how did we get to 2022 stuck in loop's when in the 1980's my Casio CZ230s could in most cases do a backing track for a whole song and it was a breeze to program too.
Ya, that's me too ! Just imagine, in ten years there will probably be a system that is better and is easy too use. Until then we will keep on playing. YAY !!!
This is great stuff. But it is also why music has no character anymore. The live interaction of the Allman Bros, the Doobie Bros, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Stevie Ray Vaughn, you get the picture, can never be done this way. But I suppose it does serve it's purpose. Of course, the younger generation will never know what they are missing so I suppose this is ....... Progress? I became a one man band half way thru my career. I loved the autonomy, but missed the camaraderie. I do mine in my studio from front to back, no loops, so it somewhat approximates the old way of doing it, but there's still no immediate response to something the "drummer" just did or the "bass player" just did etc since it's all somewhat arranged. Tho now and then magic still happens and I go back and then incorporate the idea that happened on the fly, but that is rare. I do jam a good bit on the idea tho until it starts to gel and then I start laying tracks so I guess there is some spontaneity in my method. But I can see where your method does require a certain kind of skill tho the loops by their very nature would have a certain sameness over and over. Would be fun to "mess with" tho. I'm sure if it had been available when I was young I would certainly have tried it.
You're over thinking this, this isn't for playing shows its for at home use. You could blab on about music in the old days and your opinion about why youre not into it but the point is no one cares and convenience to create music ideas alone if you don't have other people to play with.
And also there a lot people who play music in the way you feel isn't done anymore. Sounds like you're Gate keeping, and being condescending. The convenience of technology has allowed a lot more people to play music, and it is equally authentic you're just close minded because it dosent interest you.
@@break5mine Again, you completely missed my point. Must not have read the last two sentences. Or the first for that matter. We have some great "toys" to play with today, and I use a lot of them as a one man band. But I also played in bands and there is a difference. That's all I'm saying.
Fun fact The beat buddy was invented by one of the War Dogs guys. He did a Camino in the movie, he was singing Don’t fear the reaper at the retirement home.
But does it pickup the last thing you recorded while recording the next take? I’m tired of recording in a daw and hearing the other track on the second track.
Nice playing and tones, but I have to agree with some of the negative comments about drum machines. Drummers with bad timing can also be annoying but you can forgive them because they are human.
Also , anyone who has ever used the quantize feature in recording software ( I think that’s what it’s called) knows that when something is too perfectly on time it kind of sounds worse for some reason. Like it looses that human element .
It’s better to invest your time and money to become a musician than a Drummer in a box and looper. This might be for someone who wants to become a DJ instead of a musician. Tommy Emmanuel is a good example.
I can appreciate your position but I don't think that's the intent. It's not about not learning how to be a musician but leveraging technology for a variety of uses. I'm still amazed at people who can use Loopers effectively. Let alone combined it with the beatbuddy
These are great practice tools but have none of the magic and chemistry and tone of a good band and I have to say as someone who plays/teaches music for a living I have grown to hate this sound. Some people have made decent stuff this way but if everyone worked this way we would not have most of the great music that we enjoy. Also , this is why you hardly see real open mics with a full band anymore!! If you do see an open mic now it’s acoustic and people use this kind of technology and it sucks.

Yes it's only for play at home just for fun or making ideas.
@will Roland .. but I hold out hope for the future..👍🏼… There’s a WHOLE BEAUTIFUL ARMY of geezer musicians that just need a way to get together..!✌🏼❤️
get a dog- get over it. join a hiking club.

nice man! i started walking around naked and people have been giving me cash tips left and right. Yay for small businesses and entrepreneurship.
I'm very happy with my trio+. Does everything it says on the box and more
This is awesome David! glad you enjoyed using our Aeros & BeatBuddy:)

Excellent David, this is the best so far that I have seen for a no hassle loop and drum

Awesome stuffed buddy.
I just subscribed.
I like the music you put into that.
Easy on the ears and soul.
That's because I'm 71 years old.
Thanks for the video David! Good stuff man! Can't wait to see what Dovydas does with it :D
Would take me the rest of my life to figure out how to plug it all in.

@@chriskitchen4772 Took me 7 years to figure out my Line 6 Helix.
@@jwandhistools Things definitely need to be simpler. Have fun !
Sweet! Never heard of Singular Sound & now I gotta check em out. Tanx for feeding my GAS ;D
This is fire!!!🔥 🔥🔥🔥
I have the Trio+. I wish I would have bought these two items instead. If the Trio+ had the software it might compare.

Nice video. Question: Can you load lets say 4 stems(gtr, bass, Drums, synth) of a backing track and play them simultaneously?
I make music in a different tuning based on C or Do 128-256 hz or A 430~ hz.. You could changed the parameters of tuning from this pedals?!
Why not use Garage Band? Or Protools
My thoughts Exactly!!
You are going to need mdi or some other foot switches to control the software.
But does it pickup the last thing you recorded while recording the next take? I’m tired of recording in a daw and hearing the other track on the second track.
Check out the Digitech Trio Plus band creator. Not made anymore but available
Cool, thanks for making me aware of these tools….one more thing to save for.
ahh...just go to Amazon and apply for the Amazon credit card!
Could i add a whole drum track for a song i made into the beat buddy?
DIGITECH TRIO PLUS generates the bass and drums when it’s fed chords, it’s amazing 🤩
That's what I wanted to write to David: "Ever used the Trio+"?
Is this the OZ MF model?
Can you do reggae or ska rhythms with these or are they stuck on the beat
You can yes
wow!
David, design and teach a Truefire course on this topic!
When they put both these pedals into one then they have a product.
Roxk drum machine on IOS is spectacular, very human like drum machine…as are all of Luis Mertinez drum apps on IOS
it's kinda pricey but at least there are up charges.
50% off. That's proper
1% of guitarists would ever have the patience for this :-)
Dovydas would rock the BALLS out of this.
I don't...
Q: Why was the drummer standing in the doorway?
A: He forgot when to come in. 😂
How to tell when a drummer is knocking on your door? It speeds up.
Wonderful.. an amazing toy
AI replacing my band? No thank you....

700$ without microphone input??? No.....
Too expensive. I wish I could have one...but you know us musicians...we are POOR.

Looper and a drum machine.....not exactly revolutionary is it.
I think The TRIO pedal does all that in one pedal plus bass.
Yes, yes it does, but the learning curve is pretty steep.
Band in a box, by pgmusic has been around over 20 years and is better. Need a computer.
"I don't need a band anymore... I just play with myself!"
nothing a jamstation cant do
Along with the Beat Buddy it can't be beat...haha get it can't be beat?🤪
Over $1000 for those two pedals combined? I'll pass.
Or you can just use a DAW
At least it's not complicated.
