The reason Bo doesn’t accept the saber is wholly apparent by what happened to their planet & splintering of the people; she implies it in that cantina & Gideon clearly says, “again” in terms of being granted without challenge.
The Saber can only be yielded to someone who is presumed or undisputably superior in combat. Gideon beat Bo in combat, and because Din beat Gideon, by extension he has proven to be a superior warrior. Therefore she cannot accept it from him. This is the way 😉
Yep, look what happened when Ms Katan accepted the Dark Saber from Sabine without a battle to the death. Bo doesn't want to repeat the past so she's not going to take the Dark Saber as a gift a second time... no way. There will either be a battle between Din and Bo, or Bo will pledge allegiance to Din, or Boba will battle Din for the right to rule Mandalore.
One parallel i noticed in chapter 8 was how The grogu and din scene is mirroring the han and kylo scene. The only difference is the father (din) is the one taking his helmet off and the son (grogu) is the one touching his face!
19:20 maybe, just hear me out, this guy met a Tusken raider who had the same name as him (or maybe the other way around, who knows?) and they decided to work together to kidnap a senator.
Not hacking. Unlawful computer access. There are people in real life who go to jail for years because improper computer use. Maybe that guy got caught by the Star Wars version of Chris Hansen.

4:17 There are also jokes in various Lego Star Wars content where characters do the same thing eg: Lego SW TFA post credits and the Lego SW Holiday Special.
@@CaptainCoolzCT- That’s the one. Obviously his name was originally a joke because he was a character created to be killed, so in a since his name is “I’m gon’ die” but since his appearance, his last name has been used in Bloodline and now in The Mandalorian
Dave Feloni also said Plo Koon was his favorite Jedi, so Dave gave the 104th battalion (Plo’s Battalion) the nickname “Wolfpack” in the Clone Wars. The emblem on his pilot character’s helmet looks really similar to the 104th’s.
Awesome. The fact that this vid is 30 mins should show just how packed the series is with easter eggs. I hope that easter egg for Bloodline is true. That is easily one of my favorite novels of the new canon.
16:19 Since we haven't seen the unfinished clone wars episode where Boba starts wearing Mandalorian armor, it's possible that the helmet was repaired. In episode 2, jango's helmet gets a dent that isn't on Boba's helmet. The dented half of the helmet is blown up by the bomb but the other half of the helmet is fine and may have been repaired
In the Jabba's Palace scene I'm pretty sure the Quarren sitting below the throne is Tessek, Jabba's accountant, who was there in ROTJ and became well known in Legends for his many plots to usurp Jabba (and getting his brain put into a spider droid along with Bib). I wonder if he was still plotting to take over with Bib in charge, and will he now be plotting to take out Boba?
A couple details I liked from this season that didn't make this video: when Din is first driving into Mos Pelgo, one of the townspeople he rides past is a cameo by Sam Witwer, the voice of Darth Maul in TCW and Rebels. And in Chapter 13, when Ahsoka says Yoda's name, sleepy Grogu momentarily perks up and looks over at her, showing recognition. So I think that proves Grogu definitely knew Yoda when they both lived at the Jedi temple!
WOW thank you for that amazing round up of all little details, so cool to know all that, adds to my enjoyment of the show, like 382% wasn't already enough ;-)
I'm so glad R4's story got a happy ending. I can't believe I missed that. Thank you for pointing it out! 11:11 I wrote a fic where it was after the epilogue, but Ahsoka was injured in a battle against the Grysk that destroyed her cloak, along with damaging her lekku. So that's a possibility. It's not the exact same cloak as her TCW one, just the same kind.

Morgan was written, directed, acted, and designed as being a Nightsister. The makeup crew have confirmed this, but on set someone pointed out how that contradicted a major lpot point of Fallen Order. Her lines were then amended to make no mention of this This is why it was ludicrous that people thought Cal Kestis could chow up, if Filloni and Favreau had no idea about that game's story, then they were never going to put it's main character into an episode of their show
Do you have any reliable sources for this story? The only indication was a post from a makeup crew member who referred to Morgan as "one of the last survivors of Dathomir". Google provides no further references on this topic. Are you sure that's what happened and not someone's assumption/speculation?
@@Pat_Springleaf The makeup chair is THE final step before you shoot a scene. You don't sort the makeup out, write scripts, etc and then come back a month later and shoot the scene with your actors with crusty faces It is an conclusion based on this account, and the logical proceedings of the sequential nature of production. If they were designed to the final day as a nightsister, and mention of it scrubbed, then we can extrapolate that to Filloni nd Favreau not knowing the context of the larger star wars canon, and it being brought to them at the 11th hour by the story group or some other individual to change
The way tie fighters are launched in the last episode might be a nod to Battlestar Galactica. That is how the viper fighters were launched out of the mothership. And we know Kathryn Ann (Bo Katan) played an important part in that series , lieutenant Starbuck.

My theory on why Bo Katan doesn't accept the Darksaber as a gift is that she likely failed to unite the Mandalorian clans the last time. I.e. she hadn't won it in battle, so other Mandalorians didn't accept her as leader. That was a mistake she made, and maybe even learned from. I wonder how this is going to work out next season, Bo Katan doesn't seem like the type to outright betray Din Jarren. I'm thinking that the Grogu arch is over and we won't be seeing much of him from now on, so maybe Din Jarren will shift his focus to uniting the Mandalorians, even if he seems reluctant. And how will Bo Katan deal with someone who pretty much became an unwilling leader in her place by accident? At any rate, I don't think anyone is going to lie about what happened. I also haven't seen definite proof that the Armorer is dead.
Agreed about the armorer. IMO it's the opposite for the mandalorian clan unit rules. Long story short, like the Hell of Mandalore revan hid, the clans won't give a crap of what you have to say unless you have the leadership item.
His original armor before all the beskar has a lot of pieces taken from shoretrooper armor. That's where the blue triangle comes from. Nice thought about the Filoni nod. Maybe that's why they used those gloves specifically.

@@CaptainCoolzCT- I actually love that it was Luke rather than Kyle. It was just a thought I had when Alex was talking about Dark Forces. Luke is also the logical choice as I believe Alex pointed out in another video that for some viewers The Mandalorian may be a gateway into more Star Wars media like the books, comics, and The Clone Wars and Rebels. he only recognize him cause he knows yoda r2 memory got deleted like c3po after the death of Padme in EP3 ROTS
@@xkall5391 I do not know of a scene or line involving R2 being memory wiped. The senator said to wipe the protocol droids memory.
This is the way 😉
@HoboMaster and how could one sole surviving mandalorian retake mandalore?
@HoboMaster call it Mando Kombat!
Wouldn't it be Miss Kryze?
To be fair Lando has a terrible record of pronouncing things correctly
The Bacons Like "HAAAANNN"?
Ham Solo
One parallel i noticed in chapter 8 was how The grogu and din scene is mirroring the han and kylo scene. The only difference is the father (din) is the one taking his helmet off and the son (grogu) is the one touching his face!
I thought it was a reference to Episode VI with Vader and Luke. I guess all three are interconnected.
28:36
Little nitpick. It's Bobas voice, not his name.
I caught that too 🤣
I noticed it as well
The Maclunkey shout killed me. I was laughing so hard I had to pause the show.
19:20 maybe, just hear me out, this guy met a Tusken raider who had the same name as him (or maybe the other way around, who knows?) and they decided to work together to kidnap a senator.
Your channel is the most detailed and deepest insight into the star wars universe that I’ve ever seen. Thank you.
I just realized in the prisoner Easter eggs, some dude got 25 years for computer hacking, and another guy got 20 years for manslaughter. How.
Not hacking. Unlawful computer access. There are people in real life who go to jail for years because improper computer use. Maybe that guy got caught by the Star Wars version of Chris Hansen.
He's the Star Wars Galaxy's equivalent of Edward Snowden, only he unfortunately got caught
Sentences might be handed down based on a percentage of life expectancy for different species.
Dude used the wrong guy's computer, could have exposed his illegal activites so the dude had to be buried in the system.
We can only assume; if you think hacking is a small crime it will depend on the gravity of the crime.
Hack for money, an indefinite resource, several lifetimes of resources, or hack from the wrong people; eventually someone will want you gone for a long time.
The Luke Skywalker joke made me laugh out loud. Man I love this channel

Luke was also in return of the sith. Infact he had more screen time im RoS than TFA!

20:41 I kind of assumed you would have also mentioned Ima-Gun Di, since the last names are similar, but the explanation given in the video made a lot more sense, though a nod to Master Di would still have been appreciated.
4:17 There are also jokes in various Lego Star Wars content where characters do the same thing eg: Lego SW TFA post credits and the Lego SW Holiday Special.
This is the most well earned like I've given in a long time. Kudos!
The silver AV-7 droid from Chapter 16 has a gold leg... possibly hinting at a C-3PO connection because he had a silver leg
20:47 I believe Rinrivan Di’s last name is actually a reference to Jedi Matser Ima-Gun Di from The Clone Wars
Yeah, isn’t he the also-Nikto Jedi who was surrounded by B1, B1-A and B2 Battle Droids and died trying to save the Twi-Leks?
@@CaptainCoolzCT- That’s the one. Obviously his name was originally a joke because he was a character created to be killed, so in a since his name is “I’m gon’ die” but since his appearance, his last name has been used in Bloodline and now in The Mandalorian
Another small musical connection is when Grogu is beating up the stormtroopers at the end of chapter 14 you can hear a hint of Kylo Ren’s theme.
The fact that Mayfeld was able to even hit that shot was a nod to the fact that he was an imperial sniper btw
"It would appear that somehow, he has returned."
I see what you did there.

Dave Feloni also said Plo Koon was his favorite Jedi, so Dave gave the 104th battalion (Plo’s Battalion) the nickname “Wolfpack” in the Clone Wars. The emblem on his pilot character’s helmet looks really similar to the 104th’s.
Are there any runes or pieces of text in aurebesh that just say "why did you translate this" or something along those lines?
There has to be i stg
Awesome. The fact that this vid is 30 mins should show just how packed the series is with easter eggs.
I hope that easter egg for Bloodline is true. That is easily one of my favorite novels of the new canon.
The scene with Grogu and the butterflies reminds me of the scene with Yoda and the Neebrays in the episode Ambush.
My favourite Clone wars episode
one of the best eps in CW
16:19 Since we haven't seen the unfinished clone wars episode where Boba starts wearing Mandalorian armor, it's possible that the helmet was repaired. In episode 2, jango's helmet gets a dent that isn't on Boba's helmet. The dented half of the helmet is blown up by the bomb but the other half of the helmet is fine and may have been repaired
4:05 I had to pause when Peli calls him Dr. Mandible I was dying
ME TOO
New videos from you while I'm working are what it keeps me going.
Oh man, i’m very happy mit to be the only one who noticed this !
Matthew Wood also played Bib Fortuna in TPM.
WOW thank you for that amazing round up of all little details, so cool to know all that, adds to my enjoyment of the show, like 382% wasn't already enough ;-)
So the ice planet has massive monsters under the ice that can eat a speeder and giant spiders that could destroy your ship 😂
Best avoid that planet
..alternatively known as planet Australia.
25:01 Tiny nitpick, the armor in its entirety is directly from the Mudtroopers in Solo A Star Wars Story, minus the cape and helmet
I can listen to this all day.... thank you for your time and with sharing so much knowledge.

Weren’t computer spikes in Last Jedi? May be misremembering lemme check.
Edit: Nah seems they were mentioned in Incredible Cross-Sections and one of the novelizations, but never appeared on-screen.
That’s what happens when I think I have one over on the Star Wars trivia master. lol
yeah they were in the last jedi.
The Code cylinder is in the Star Wars Visual Dictionary from 1998, which I’m assuming is where the computer spike originated. Just an illegal version I would think 🤷♂️
You forgot to mention that the man with the green light saber was also in Revenge of the Sith
The operation cinder name drop was one of my favorite name drops in the season. Great video!
It seems ever since paul sun-hyung lee appeared in the mandalorian...Kim’s Convenience got more popular.
I mean, it is quite hilarious.
Morgan was written, directed, acted, and designed as being a Nightsister. The makeup crew have confirmed this, but on set someone pointed out how that contradicted a major lpot point of Fallen Order. Her lines were then amended to make no mention of this
This is why it was ludicrous that people thought Cal Kestis could chow up, if Filloni and Favreau had no idea about that game's story, then they were never going to put it's main character into an episode of their show
Which plot point did it contradict?
I think he’s referring to Merton being the last nightsister, but that could easily be explained away as Morgan being from a different nightsister clan
Oh god... that would’ve been awesome
You don't sort the makeup out, write scripts, etc and then come back a month later and shoot the scene with your actors with crusty faces
It is an conclusion based on this account, and the logical proceedings of the sequential nature of production. If they were designed to the final day as a nightsister, and mention of it scrubbed, then we can extrapolate that to Filloni nd Favreau not knowing the context of the larger star wars canon, and it being brought to them at the 11th hour by the story group or some other individual to change
Dave filoni: uses a camera
"This is a reference to the original trilogy where cameras were used to film all three movies"

Its impressive that you can get all this put together so quickly.
11:54 oh that's SUPER COOL. I didn't know that, and I'm actually really glad I do now.
Luke’s hallway assault against the dark troopers is very similar to Darth Vader’s hallway rampage from Rogue One.
“Like my father before me.”
"I wreck the shit out of my enemies in a cool style. Like my father before me"
Someone actually made a supercut/side by side of Luke's, Vader's, and Maul's hallway scenes. All 3 are really similar.
@@KlockoFett I’ve seen it.
The way tie fighters are launched in the last episode might be a nod to Battlestar Galactica. That is how the viper fighters were launched out of the mothership. And we know Kathryn Ann (Bo Katan) played an important part in that series , lieutenant Starbuck.

Now the question remain with Thrawn return, will we see Retelling of the Heir to the Empire story or something similar to it?
Maybe, but with Ahsoka and not Luke. Will Ezra turn out to be this version’s Joruus C’Baoth? Or will Ahsoka and Ezra be the Luke/Mara Jade team fighting against Thrawn and some mad Jedi?
@@barkasz6066 I don't see Ezra not instantly being on Ahsoka's side, it's been a long time but Ezra has a lot of training as being a Jedi and staying on the right path
That's my theory. The Timelines line up and couple that with the rumor of mara jade being cast
your attention to detail is legendary
20:42 could also be related to Jedi Master Ima-Gun Di from TCW
Yes! I was hoping someone commented this :)
Could just be a common surname for his people.
Here's one that was just released by Paul Sun-Hyung Lee himself. Carson Teva's helmet has OKSEEYOU printed on it in Aurabesh, another reference to Kim's Convenience
Well, the part with Grogu didn't age well
@@Tigershark_3082 and I'm happy for it.
I don't think you mentioned it for s1 but Din's "gloves" with the blue triangle must be a nod to Filoni and Avatar
His original armor before all the beskar has a lot of pieces taken from shoretrooper armor. That's where the blue triangle comes from. Nice thought about the Filoni nod. Maybe that's why they used those gloves specifically.
As of now we live in post season depression, Cant wait for next December! Ill just be replaying seasons 1 and 2 from now to then T-T.
The graffiti in the beginning of chapter 9 is done by artist, David Choe, who also has a small cameo as a spectator of the gamorrean fight.
29:30 excuse me, Luke Skywalker is most known for his role in Revenge of the Sith
18:52 The effort put in by both the showrunners and Star Wars Explained is INSANE! Best people working in and talking about Star Wars. Anyone expecting Hondo to show up here tho?
Luke's hallway scene is probably referencing Vader's hallway scene in Rogue One. Although Vader is slaughtering actual living beings while Luke is only killing droids. Very good video though, a lot of effort!
Jedi vs sith
Man someone is really taking COVID 19 quarantine serious because you went all in my man. Everything I ever wanted to know about star wars
While Luke was amazing as he took down the dark troopers, I just had a thought once Alex began talking about Legends dark troopers and though of how out of left field it would have been had it been Kyle Katarn cutting down those dark troopers in the season 2 finale.
Hey, Luke destroying Imperial soldiers from a Kyle Katarn game is so Legends-Like to start, so I'm just as happy as if it was Kyle Katarn.
If Kyle had shown up only the hardcore Star Wars fans would know who he was, but with Luke showing up like he did everyone knows.
@@captaincoolbreeze9429 yeah but Katarn's more grey than Luke so it would have fitted better with Din and Grogu's personalities imo

I may be crazy, but in the ahsoka episode, was there a lothcat in the town? Don’t know if those were in love action before.
It should be added that Tim Olyphant who plays the marshal in the episode The Marshal is literally the Marshal from two shows deadwood and justified . a meta reference I am sure that was why Tim was cast in this role
