Before 1917, the Palestinian Territories were inhabited mainly by three groups: Christians, Jews and Muslims. Those three groups were living together in some considerable peace compared to today. 1917 Balfour declaration however gave the JEWS ONLY the right to a NATIONAL HOME that served as the basis of a JEWISH RELIGIOUS STATE on Palestinian Territories. And do you know what does a RELIGIOUS STATE exactly mean!!? It means for everyone belonging to that religion gets the right to a citizenship of that state even if they weren't born within that state. That's how and when Jews- including very baaad people, you name it- started flowing in masses from all over the world and barbarically settle and spread on Palestinian lands. Indigenous Palestinian (almost non-Jewish) communities normally started resisting and some western governments unfortunately sided with the new unfair order. By the way, Britain was occupying the Palestinian Territories back then (in so-called mandate) when giving that promise to the Jews ( giving what they don't own). Since then, Jews have been flowing, settling and spreading, and Palestinians have been resisting. And that's how this whole misery started after Jews, Christians and Muslims were living together in some considerable peace on the Palestinian Territories.
      -------
      Facts to remember:
-Britain didn't try to establish a National Home for the Jewish-People on its own lands,
-Britain didn't even try to establish one equivalent National Home for Christians or one for Muslims in the land of Palestine given their rights to the land as it marks the birthplace of Jesus and destination of Prophet Mohammed's journey.

The problem is neither side of the residents of the region accept each other’s presence, where would Israelis go, or Arabs, even they are relatives in the end, solution is in understanding each other than rejecting existence (Iran, Arabs, Israelis). And if we speak specifically ONLY on Israel land, today in Israel there are 2,000,000 arabs living as Israelis, and enjoys a democratic country which gives them the option to share opinon, grow a creer, and become whatever they want! Israel is NOT the problem here... believe me.

The history of the land now known as Israel and the Palestinian Territories is complex and multifaceted, spanning thousands of years. It's essential to understand this history in depth and context.
Historical Context Before 1917: Before the Balfour Declaration in 1917, the area was part of the Ottoman Empire, which had ruled it for nearly 400 years. There was no independent Palestinian state at the time; it was divided into different administrative units. While it's true that Muslims, Christians, and Jews lived in the area, they did not live under a single national identity or unified "Palestinian Territories." The Jewish presence in the region dates back more than 3,000 years, making Jews indigenous to the land, and not just recent immigrants.
The Balfour Declaration: The Balfour Declaration did not "give" land to the Jews. It expressed support for a "national home for the Jewish people" in Palestine and emphasized that the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine should not be prejudiced. It was not a license to establish a state but rather recognition of the historical connection of the Jewish people to the region.
Jewish Immigration and Land Purchase: Jewish immigration to the region began long before the Balfour Declaration, especially during the late 19th century due to persecution in Europe (e.g., pogroms in Russia). Jews legally purchased land from Arab landowners at above-market prices. Much of the land bought was barren and undeveloped, which Jewish settlers worked to turn into productive agricultural areas.
International Law and Legitimacy: The establishment of a national home for the Jewish people was supported by the League of Nations in 1922, which recognized the historical connection of the Jewish people to the land and endorsed the reconstitution of their national home there. The United Nations later affirmed this right in 1947 with Resolution 181, which called for the partition of the land into separate Jewish and Arab states. Jewish leaders accepted this proposal; Arab leaders rejected it.
Religious State Claim: Israel was established as a democratic state with a Jewish character, not a "religious state." People of all religions-Muslims, Christians, and others-have citizenship and rights in Israel. Non-Jewish citizens of Israel participate in its democratic processes, hold positions in government, serve in the military, and are represented in the Knesset (parliament).
Post-1947 Conflict and Ongoing Tensions: The violence and displacement that followed the 1948 War of Independence were tragic, but they were a direct result of Arab states rejecting the UN partition plan and invading the newly declared State of Israel. It’s crucial to acknowledge the responsibility of all parties involved rather than framing one-sided blame.

@@royk1985 3,000 yrs ago, today's palestinians in gaza were jewish. That's cause islam wasn't yet a thing. When islam came about, those jews, who are today's palestinians, converted. @@gerri577 Today's Palestinian identity is distinct and has formed over the last few centuries. The claim that all Palestinians are descended from ancient Jews is an oversimplification and doesn't reflect the region's diverse and complex demographic changes over time.
Moreover, the Jewish people have maintained a continuous presence in the land of Israel, even during times of exile and dispersion. The connection between the Jewish people and the land is not just historical but also cultural, religious, and spiritual. Modern Jewish communities, whether in Europe, the Middle East, or elsewhere, have always maintained this bond, praying for a return to the land for thousands of years.

@@royk1985 all palestinians in gaza are indeed ancestors to muslims who were jews before islam came around. And yes, the jewish ppl in israel are indegenous to those lands. The european zionists however, may have a distant relative generations ago who was a jew there. But 2 thousand yrs of intermarrying with europeans, they can no longer claim to be heirs to the land. Another fun fact is that the reason jews are classified as semitic ppl is because they speak hebrew. A semitic language. The zionists who started flocking into palestine a hundred yrs ago claiming ownership to the land spoke english. That fact alone disqualifies them from even claiming to be semitic ppl. Yet they cry about being bullied for being semitic. Anti semitism in reality refers to the ppl of gaza who all speak and have spoken arabic, a semitic language, forever. I find it bazaar that the zionists can claim anti semitism against them and still, so many americans still buy into that line of crap.
