- I started guitar on October 29, 2008. My uncle showed me a RUclips video of this guy by the name of "funtwo" playing a rock version of Pachelbel's Canon. My obsession with the video inspired me to pick up the guitar. I wanted to play like that!
Just for nostalgia I decided to cover this great piece again in 2020. My goal wasn't to change anything, but upload a better cover than in 2011.

I remember when Pachabel first wrote this piece... he was so talented with music and his performance level was unmatched. Such simple times.
No doubt it's an old piece but Jerry C was the one who reminded people of this masterpiece and still is the best version ever!! Nicely played anyway
17 years ago! Where did the time go? I think the best version back then was from funtwo who did a great interpretation of the Jerry C masterpiece!

At first, I was inspired by Sungha Jung's Canon Rock then I watched the original Canon Rock. But you are the one who taught how to play Canon Rock through video lesson. I used to download your videos to learn Canon Rock while at that time, I was still using acoustic guitar. It was 6-7 years ago and I was 16 at that time. I lost your videos years later then, today I found you and it brings back the memories of me learning how to play Canon Rock even though I was using an acoustic guitar. Now, I'm 23 and owned an electric guitar but I only play few parts of Canon Rock including the main solo. It has been a while and thanks to you I can play Canon Rock but not all of it. Thanks man.

This is maybe the best version of this i have heard!! Too often, people focus too little on the "Canon" part of the song, & too much on the "Rock" - this version has a good mix of both - which means a proper respect for the original piece. i am in love with this!!

I didnt survive practicing violin after 6 years, however I always loved guitar no matter how many years I play it. :)
Yeah there's something cool about the guitar - but the violin has its place too. I use it as a programmed instrument in my projects sometimes.

not at all. as long as you practice and eventually love what you are doing, it’s never too late. i hope you play the guitar well!!

Mature people tend to learn instruments much quicker than kids, so it should not be that hard :)

I would for real have this version playing as the missus walks down the aisle. Stood at the altar with a tear in my eye thinking, 'this song is so beautiful', then tell her to loop back round to hear the end of the song.

Outstanding!! Just saw this. You do it, and then come the people who try to catch you, it's never ending like, MIUMIU Canon rock. She practiced for 2 years and did it on her 8th birthday!! Then on drums there is JUNNA who does a killer Canon rock cover and Through The Fire And Flames by Dragon Force. There are just a few who can accomplish such feats of perfection!!
