This is great, besides the hammer lock, do you have any videos on other transitions / submissions - it is pretty dominating being on top and i'm sure the submissions would come up, but open for insight on good ones to explore while maintaining the hand cuff and top position pressure?
Yes. On the video series that we filmed with The Grapple Club, I cover transitions to back control and catching the arm triangle by establishing a claw grip and releasing the cross wrist control so they can recover their back to floor....thus giving you an opportunity to land an arm triangle finish.

@@asad6877 It would be amazing to get the opportunity to train in Dagestan one day. I'm a brown belt from Serbia and the level you guys have is a completely different dimension. Really inspiring seeing Dagestani fighters do work in the UFC, they changed the meta in high level MMA forever.
When you pull his leg with your arm to put your leg over it, it looks like he can easily pull his knee back in, as you’re only using your arm to pull in a whole leg. Looks undoable. Spinning then catching him off guard with your leg since he’s spinning in the same direction (using his momentum against him) looks more effective.
I tried this one two different partners. I couldn't for the life of me drag that leg at 5:15. the guy on bottom has alot more leverage than I have strength. Unless he gives me the leg I can't get it
Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira have been confirmed to fight for the LW title. Islam is a longtime friend of Khabib and trains with him so we will once again see Combat Sambo vs Oliveiras BJJ. But Oliveira has the record for submissions in the UFC now. This will be the best fight weve seen in awhilr I think.
I can clearly see it's wrestling techniques it's confusing is it effective against bjj practitioners who are experienced? It looks long winded and opponent wasn't reacting in normal manner?
It looks like a lump from an intramuscular/subcutaneous injection. I suspected PED use before I even saw that from his physique, hair loss, and breathing patterns.
When Kabib does this I’ll at least have an idea of what he’s doing. 5 stars.
I hope we get to see it again
He's retired
@@irasac1 I would love to see him make someone lost all hopes as soon as they feel his pressure lol
It's just fucking insane.
This isn’t a “dagestani handcuff” it’s a basic wrist ride in folkstyle/collegiate … beginners know this 🤷🏻♂️

Amazing instructional, the only critic I could offer would be to definitely get what ever that large black bubble on your leg is checked out.
A British guy that knows how to wrestle
Yes we need to get it taught in schools somehow
Thanks for this, I heard it on commentary. Awesomely explained.
Kam Atakuru content is Just brilliant
4:27 beautiful!
Quality breakdown!
Thanks, i needed this video to understand how bad of a situation Khabib had Johnson in.

Excellent breakdown. Interesting submission. Would like to see some other setups for submission there.
This needs 1m views
Thank you! 🙌🏻❤️
what a lovely place to be. Now you just beat the guy till he quits! Beautiful!
Dagestan approved! Nice breakdown sensai

Dagi handcuff + lockdown is hilarious. Like I audibly laughed. Amazing.

just step over and lock, works much better
You see how he opened his thigh up too? He not only extends the hip he externally rotates as well, partner won't be as strong resisting that

Great tech. Is that staph on your right thigh?
It’s scar tissue from a knife wound...
How to grab the legs and tight?
Very good👍
Dagestani Handcuff Lock
So… you’re just wrist riding?
MRSA gives me the sniffles too.
Kam is living proof that there exists no use of strength in BJJ
Does Kam not look strong to you? 🤣
Brock Lesnar used this against Frank Mir before Khabib was even a thing.
