When I first saw this game years ago, I thought that the graphics were really good to the point where there was no room in the rom for music. Seriously there like only 3 tracks in the whole game. There’s one for the title screen and credits, one for the bonus stages, and one of all 10 levels and the ending. This is just mere speculation. It could be just laziness. But if so, I find it weird they put all this effect into the graphic, but they couldn’t compose at least one more track to alternate between levels.
Thats likely part of it, but I'd bet the main reason is probably the sound samples, those things usually took up a ton of space on a cartridge.

Very weird that they didn't even try to convert the audio from the SNES game... using the same annoying track on every level really ruins the experience, no matter how good the graphics are...
This is not the SNES version of the game. The Lion King released for Genesis/SNES had its version for the first Game Boy.
Ugh, I mean, this is better than the GBC version of the first Lion King, but having to hear the same song playing on every level, even doing dramatic ones like Stampede or Plains of Fire AND during boss fights... I'm sorry, but that music gets annoying quickly.
You can turn it off, thankfully.

Dang man for a licensed GBC game this is actually not that bad (aside from the music, why only one track for every level!?).
Ok this is AWFUL compared to the PS1 version of the game. I _love_ that game 😊

God, the music on this is so awful it makes the Back to the Future NES music sound like a Beethoven symphony! I never understood why they couldn’t incorporate Hans Zimmer’s cues and Elton John and Tim Rice’s songs into this!

@@Igorcastrochucre it wasn't much educational actually being one of the darker junior shows by the end...
By disaster I mean mismanaged by the network with bad scheduling and management trying to finish the 3 seasons. Hell, they dumped all the season 3 episodes all at once on disney now to get it over with due to how bad they managed airing and producing the show.
Speak for yourself. 1 1/2 was a great movie.
