One of my favorite keto snacks is Roasted and salted Pecans, I absolutely love, love, love them in fact if I'm not careful I can eat a whole can -- and I have before. However, one of the problem with most store bought roasted pecans is the type of oil they are cooked in, most are cooked in soybean or canola oil, which is bad for you Keto or no keto. We recently came across this simple butter roasted pecan recipe and thought we'd pass this along.
The key with roasting these is to watch them and ensure they are getting too brown, because it seems like each batch of raw pecans is different. We've also experimented with adding salt, cinnamon and dusting with artificial sweetener...so far of the sweet versions I like the best is a combination of Stevia and Monk fruit, you can get this blend from starbucks, I think they are like 1 carb per packet, and I've only ever used this on a small amount of nuts.
We also find that these nuts taste better if you microwave them for a few seconds after you bake them and they've gotten cold.
Give them a try!

Correction ALERT! Bake these at 300 degrees not at 350 per the video overlay. Again 300 degrees is the correct temperature!
What is keto mean?
I use Soy Sauce GF is this healthy?
Thanks
CJsKetoKitchen.com let’s say I roasted them and I wanted to store them later on. Is that okay? Or will the pecans get stale? Or spoil?
@@don_dennistan5385 I freeze pecans, put them in a ziploc bag and suck the air out. They're good as new when they thaw.
P.s. Have you ever sweetened them before with a Keto approved sweetner ? ♡ ♡ 😘
This reminds me, I miss my Mom, no matter how old you get, nobody cooks with the love that your Mom does. GOD bless all Moms. Thank you.
Agreed, CJ always asks why does yours taste better, and I tell him it’s because I put my love in it. 💗
I coated them in a bowl and then spread them on a pan, it made coverage much better.
+Michael Ware good idea 💡👍🏽
I did the same ... it worked great !! : )
Me too
Yes, coating them inside a bowl first... with melted butter and a little Himalayan sea salt or whatever spice, then spreading them on cookie sheet I believe, is the easiest method, too! 👍
I always make mine with one egg white, lightly whisked. Cinnamon and swerve coating and bake 9 minutes. So good. I'll have to try it this way.
I make these. ( WITHOUT that much SALT) But then in a saucepan I will melt some butter and unsweetened baker's chocolate and some sweetener and then pour that over the pecans and refrigerate and then break them up into pieces and I have chocolate pecan bark. So good!
Thanks Glad you’re enjoying the recipe. My body craves salt on Keto....of course all the seasoning in our recipes is personalized preference.🧂🧂🧂🧂🧂🧂
The first time I made this recipe, I followed your recipe exactly. And I loved them. This time I wanted something a little sweet. So I browned the 4 tablespoons of butter and added a tablespoon of sukrin gold and some liquid sucralose. I also added salt. I cooked the pecans for about 45 min at 305, stirring them every 10 to 15 minutes. They are delicious!
Thank you for sharing. It looks simple and delicious.
I just made these. My husband and i loved them. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
Thank you very much! These look yummy.
I made your Bisquick mix today for the first time. Looking forward to using it.
Just made these yesterday with a light sprinkling of sweetner. These could be a dangerous delicious temptation 😯 YUM!
I was thinking the same thing
Yum! I've been looking for this kinda recipe because plain pecans raw need more flavor. Good healthy snack. Thanks!
We ADORE these, and make them several times a month. Game changer!
Just found this recipe that you did a year ago to watch, will be making both this one and your new recipe with pecans. I'm excited as I love coated nuts.
Thank you 🇦🇺
Thanks Jennifer. CJ just brought me back fresh pecans from his trip to Georgia. They sure are delicious butter roasted 😊
Pecans are my Favorite Keto snack. Can’t wait to try these for the Holidays! Happy Thanksgiving to you both!! Keep up the great videos. 👍🏻😊
Thanks Dawn, once you roast your own, there’s no going back 😜😆💓
Looks delicious. Thanks for sharing ❤️
I roast pecans, walnuts and pumpkin seeds together. Add butter, cinnamon and a little sweetener. No salt. Great keto snack with sugar free chocolate chips.
Yes!🙌🏻
Love snack mixes. Making one next week ❤️🎄
Recently purchased 5 lbs of pecans from our local grower in Baldwin County Alabama, B&B Pecans. It's a family tradition to buy right before Thanksgiving for holiday baking. I'm making this recipe today for snacking during the football games. Thanks for sharing!
OMG that’s going to be sooooo good. This summer CJ brought me back pecans from his parent’s place in Georgia. They’re divine done this way. 🤤🤤🤤
I just made these! Wonderful recipe! I like that they are not sweetened! Fantastic snack!
My favorite as well, Susan! I make these often!❤️
I have made these a number of times and they are soooo good. One if my family's favorite snacks.
I eat them nearly every day 💗🥰
Forget the oven. Do these in your air fryer. Just put pats of butter on the bottom of a pan that fits in your air fryer basket. Cover the pats of butter with pecans. Put some pats of butter on top - I end up using about half a stick total - and cook at 325º for about 15 minutes. Shake/stir about halfway thru. Check those last 5-7 minutes to make sure they aren't getting too brown. Salt and go. I eat these almost every day. I get the bags from Sam's Club.
Will make these today
I'm glad you pointed it out about the oil. I never thought about pecans being roasted in soy, yuck . My mate got some and now I need to go look lol. Thanks guys for the content
Thanks so much for watching and commenting. Making your own is so easy, and so much yummier, especially the smell when they're roasting....you'll never want to go back to store bought again!
Yummy snack. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks for watching 😁
I was looking for this recipe after watching the marvelous English toffee one. Wow! Do they look delicious!! Thank you so much for sharing!💖
Greetings from Belgium!🌻

Yum , yum , yum !
My mouths watering. I would have to make those in single servings just to control myself.
Blessings 🌈
+Sandy's losin' it YES! I agree. These can be addicting 😋Thanks Sandy and congrats on the big 100 pound lose 💃🏼🕺
Ok, I made the key lime pie which was great! Now this, are you trying to set me up? Can’t wait to try these too!
Lol Julie.... pecans are our holy grail nut. We definitely have to watch it, although we have found portion control is a bit easier when they’re roasted in butter. Maybe it’s just our imagination 🤔
I was looking a roasted nuts today and the carbs were too high so u finally walked away. Im making these. Thanks.
These are my absolute go-to favorite. Lately we’ve been roasting walnuts in the same way.....delicious 😋
Yum! That looks delicious!
Once you roast your own, you can never go back....the flavor is so excellent
Looks tasty! Pecans are my favorite!
Definitely ours too😍
looks delicious 😋
Hey Sarah 👋🏽 As I prepare to make another batch of your granola bars (peanut butter this time), I'm making my butter roasted pecans in my Ninja Foodi. I didn't feel like heating up my entire kitchen with the oven on this hot September day. It appears to have worked pretty well. I lowered the temp to 285° because things tend to bake a lot faster in the Foodi.
Awesome 👏🏼 great idea. Gotta get your pecans any way you can!
Yummy that so looks very good
My Dad read something about roasted pecans , Now he just has to have them roasted so I’m gonna try it for him. They are almost finished and WOW !!! They smell fabulous. Thank you for the upload. P.s. your a very BEAUTIFUL lady :)
Thanks Thomas!
These are my very favorite snack! I always have them on hand. I hope your dad loves them too!😊🎄
So tasty, tempting n healthy
+HOME OF FLAVOURS they are simple and delicious. Thanks for watching 👍🏽
Love this. Gotta get pecans. Thanks sarah.
You’ll never be the same🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
Just made your pecan recipe, thanks

No nuts will ever be as good, you’ll be ruined🤣 Thanks for watching 😁

I tried this recipe and it came out delicious!! Thank you soo much😊👍❤
CJsKetoKitchen.com do you store them in the fridge or just on the countertop?
Hi again :)
I’m also curious if you can use these in recipes also? Such as cookies, yogurt parfaits, cakes, salads etc?
Are use these in almost everything that calls for nuts… My absolute favorite snack I always have them around!
I LOVE your top! Where did you get it?
Thanks Jerrie!
It’s a sweater, and it’s merona brand from target. 😊
I think in England the pecans don't normally come with anything on them. This is making my mouth water, I love pecans! never had them salted though! I would normally imagine them in a recipe with something sweet, but I'm sure they're delicious!
Pecans here in the States come either raw, like we used in the recipe, or roasted, and it’s always in an “unfortunate” oil choice, that’s why we decided to start roasting our own. Salted nuts are sooooo delicious. We hope that you give it a try!😻
+Raeesah Fitness just checked out your channel. Great job! And we are a New sub👍🏽
Aw no that's sad! I think in england there's a few regulations on what ingredients can be used as if I any see any American candy in the stores they normally have ingredients in them that the products here wouldn't have. I have tried salted and roasted almonds before the blue diamond ones I think they're nice! so I think salted pecans would be super nice! also , roasted edamame beans that I cooked from fresh I just didn't add any seasoning but they're super yummy too, I love snacky things! xx
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it :) x and I can't wait to watch the rest of your videos! 😍
Okay, I watched this about 2 hours ago. I liked what I watched, the pecans looked good as well. I had 2 pounds of pecans that were about to expire. So I measured out 1 pound for each batch. I melted the butter, placed the pecans in a 1 gallon zip bag, loaded them with butter, then I did the old shake and bake method, I do not shake as good as I once did, but I shake once.....whatever. Anyways, I put 1 pound of pecans on a pan like you used, got them all flat, placed in 300 degree oven and set the timer for 10 minutes while those were baking I prepared the other batch and had them ready to go in when the first pan was done. Then while the second pan was baking I flipped over the pecans on first pan, then repeat for other pan. Clear as mud? They are fantastic!!!! You are the best. Your latest fan.
Thanks so much! My very favorite food. I make these several times a month. Happy holidays 🎁🎅🏼☃️
I like to add swerve so they taste more like the Trader Joe’s ones. Those are to die for!!!!
What’s swerve
Can you use the same method on our all walnuts
So very good ❤
Next time try adding cumin, garlic and chili powder! And add a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the butter. Amazing!
That’s the great thing about this recipe, so versatile. I added cayenne to our spiced almond and it was fantastic!
wow i like this recipe 👍😀👍😀 looks so much tasty 👍👍👍👍
GlebSky they ARE! I’m eating some right now.....Thanks for watching 😊
Hi Sarah 👋🏼
I was wondering what kind of salt you use on these? Regular table salt? Or a finishing salt like Maldon’s? Thank you 😊
Hi Maryann 👋🏼
I use regular fine sea salt and lots of it😂 I like my pecans salty🥰
Looks yummy... where did you purchase the Kirkland pecans from can’t seem to locate them ALDI, Kroger, Walmart.. I’d really appreciate your help...
The Kirkland brand is from Costco...but any pecans would due.
I made the mistake of buying the Trader Joe’s one, they’re delicious...looking forward to making this better alternative!!
There’s no going back! Lol. Enjoy 😊
These are amazing. I just love them. Thank you so much for all the recipes you do. God Bless
They are my favorite too Vanessa… I always have them on hand and eat them almost daily💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Thanks just subscribed to your channel and looking forward to new videos 😀
Thanks David. These nuts are my absolute favorite. I make them weekly!
@@cjsketokitchen thank you. Wow it must be nice. I tried making vinegar and salt almonds last night and they came out so so they don't taste as good as the store bought ones but then again they use lots of chemicals I only used pink salt and vinegar. I will try your pecan recipe as soon as I can just need to go buy some pecans. Have a good day and thanks again.
I LOVE salt & vinegar anything, but these pecan will be your new favorite ❤️
@@cjsketokitchen I can't wait I'm gonna try wish me luck.
Salted butter, Himalayan salt, and chipotle powder. Makes 'em a little smoky and spicy.
And what other question what is your opinion on hazelnuts would you roast them like this the way you do for the pecans
Yes, I have used the same method for multiple types of nuts… I’ve done walnuts, peanuts, and hazelnut
Wow the web site recipe that you changed has 1/2 the amount of butter! Mine are in the oven now with 4 Tbs butter…I hope they are good!
The more butter the better lol🧈❤️
I'm going to make these, yum! In the video you said 300, but your text overlay says 350. Which one is it?
Wannabe Better it should be 300 degrees, sorry for the confusion.
+Wannabe Better OMG 😮 it should be 300
Wannabe Better It says 350 in the written recipe too.
I added maple extract and cayenne pepper...
Delish!
Myriam Giovannini maple extract as in the liquid form or is there a powder? Ty.
Marianne Colucci liquid form
My grands, who claim do not like pecans & walnuts-- begged me to make again-305 degree roasted in oven-- PERFECTO! thank you😁
Sarah’s absolute favorite food🥰👍🏼
I appreciate your video it's wonderful but a description would be nice from what I gathered 300° for 10 minutes then take them out salt them and stir them and then go for another 10 minutes and then they're done. Hopefully a description in the bottom would really help thank you so much for your video you're very kind for making it don't want to be critical of you because it's a great video

Gonna try the way u make them but I'm gonna do half with salt and half with sugar, I'll let you know how they turn out.
I LOVE these. Make them every 2 weeks 🥰
Got these in the oven now. How do you store them? Can they be left in a sandwich bag in my pantry or refrigerated?
We leave ours out at room temperature in a plastic container. We’ve never had them go bad. Too delicious ☺️
@@cjsketokitchen awesome!!! Thank you for the quick response, otherwise I’d have to eat them all while waiting to hear back they’re so delicious 😂😂😂
So glad we could prevent that😉😂
Can you use olive oil or veg oil instead? My fam is dairy free.
I haven’t tried it any other way. Thanks for watching
You are soo cool, thank!
Thanks Hilario! You are too!😊
Yummm
Once you taste butter roasted nuts, there’s no going back!😜
@@cjsketokitchen I'm in. I will try it this weekend thanks
The recipe you linked to says to use two tablespoons of butter for pound of pecans, but your video says 4 tablespoons of butter per pound of pecans. Which is correct? Thanks.
I would use the 4 tablespoons. I am of the thought the more butter the better LOL
@@cjsketokitchen - - I'm with you on that 😋
Why didn't you for the initial mix, just use a mixing bowl?
If I mix in a bowl, people comment “Why did you dirty a bowl”?🤣🤣🤣🤷🏻♀️
Can a sweetener also be used?
Sure if you wish a natural sweetener could be used. We have a caramel pecan recipe coming soon!Stay tuned 😊
Caramel pecans: ruclips.net/video/7reNuijrlJA/видео.html
Do you storage room temperature or refriggidated?
I keep ours at room temperature. We go through them pretty quick, so I have never had them go bad. 😊
@@cjsketokitchen Thank you! just made them the only changes were that I added 1 tsp. maple extract and some cayenne pepper.... Just delicious!
OMG Sarah, I bet your house smells Soo good. I love butter roasted pecans. What happened to cjs taste test? Lol

peh-cahns 😉
I added cinnamon vanilla coconut sugar to my organic butter and mixed in a bowl
The written page - maybe typo? 305°
Nope, 305° is precisely the temperature I always use. Merry Christmas 🎄
How does keto fare with weight watchers? Nuts are a no no on their plan as are a lot of things. Love some feed back. Thanks
They are not the same, really in any way.....keto stresses healthy fats, adequate protein, and low carbs (20 grams). Tracking is not essential for weight loss.
Thank you. Good to know
Hi.
inspirative and very creative sub 672
