Yes , a good plan with any diet is to plan ahead, these are excellent for snacking. Look so good. I might try to put in turmeric for a curry type flavor. These are healthy.
One of my all time fav snacks. I also like walnuts done this way. Especially adding sea salt on top. Being a diabetic, I always try for no carb ....dee
I'd love to see some lo-carb recipes. Like Amy, we don't use salt here. (Except for potatoes.) I love taters, so lo carb is hard for me. Thanks for this recipe, y'all. Hugs, Jess
Too much salt isn't necessarily unhealthy since your body will naturally sweat out any excess. on the other hand not having enough salt can really mess things up
Those pecans ROCK. I WILL be trying your recipe. But now you've got me thinking about breaking up shards of either Heath or Skor bars into some Breyer's vanilla and sprinkling a BUNCH of your roasted pecans all over the top.
I am very interested in making jars of your seasoned pecans as Christmas gifts for neighbors and friends - I know if they are in my house this question would be unnecessary = but how long do they last in mason jar? How far before Christmas could I make these. My mouth is watering already.
I will have to try this one. We always have pecans! Burketts are my favorite. They have a little more fat content so they are yummy! (but aren't they all?) Everyone here always wants cinnamon and sugar pecans, but I am not a big fan of those.
I love pecans & have roasted them too. But I can't eat them anymore so I make them & give them away.its too bad because I need to eat low carb snacks being a diabetic.
Maymay, I have found a lifestyle plan that incorporates low carb, regular and low fat eating styles, it is called Trim Healthy Mama. You can look them up at www.trimhealthymama.com. There is also a FB group. You may be able to find some more low carb recipes as well. To make a sweet version of these you can add Stevia. It works with low carb too. I like the sweet/salty mix of things. Good luck to you and Vinnie on your lifestyle change.
Wow! I just tried this and it is excellent! And you are right about salting this. I can’t stop eating this and it’s Keto friendly!

I like Paprika and was wondering about when I would add it, before the pecans are roasted or after? Or does it make any difference?
