I was there. And among the many extraordinary things is how you all left space for each other. Often, 2 or more guitars gets to sound like a dense mess. To have all of you up there, listening to each other, supporting each other, staying out of each other's way - it was beyond beautiful. Thanks, Jimmy.

This is a real treat to watch. Unfortunately in this area of Indiana there is no jazz scene. You have to travel four hours to Chicago to get anything close to this. Thank you for sharing, Jimmy.

I would've thought "3 guitars" would be a lot of "stepping on each other" but, No man that was great. You all played so good.

Great guitarists who actually listen to each other , complimenting, laying back when necessary , then all able to solo , each with their distinctive style and sound , great tone ....just amazing the talent in that room...you played great as usual Jimmy , thanks for sharing a snippet ....any chance of a DVD??

Jimmy get some more gigs.... your playing in an ensemble is phenomenal! Even if it's just a guitar duo or trio, I believe you would benefit so much. You're in your element, happy and content. It would probably make you feel younger and may even add years to your life.
I'd love to hear more from this concert. As many as 5 guitarists and I didn't hear even a single shreddie ! Thanks for sharing this teaser. Best regards from Montreal. -Glenn

Went to see Frank Vignola in concert at the Newton High School Auditorium in Newton, N.C. back several years ago. Frank was smoking’, as usual. Great performance. You sure know how to pick 'em, Jimmy Bruno. Great performance here, also.

great interplay - ears wide open. I dug Frank's bluesy bends there, and Jimmy swinging hard the whole time and incorporating that Charlie Parker riff - I felt like that was for the youtube crowd since it's been a recent topic/lesson on here :D

Very nice; wish I'd been there. Do you have more video of the evening?About two years ago, Russell Malone appeared at a jam session in New Jersey where I was one of the players. He asked if he could play my ES-175 (which I've had since it was new in 1958) and, in the course of doing so, demonstrated conclusively that the guitar wasn't holding me back; it was the other way around.

Sounded like a great evening of jazz! You guys were cooking. Was that your Sadowsky? And what amp did you go through? Looks like you miked a Fender Reverb. As much as I enjoyed the solos, I really liked the classy comping, too! And I realized Vinnie was playing along with Russell on Misty. James and Gary were great, too. It seems to me you get focused and energized on stage.

Oh, I really enjoyed all that incredible playing. I could say I wished I could have sat in but honestly, I would have fucked the whole thing up royally so it's good some wishes never come true. Of course I'm only kidding about sitting in. I wouldn't dare even think I could match up to that class of playing and musicianship. It'd be like me playing a cigar box guitar with 2 strings, a bent pickup and 2 and 2/3 beats behind. You guys are the best.

As my late jazz teacher Tony Rizzi would often say, “That was a mother-grabber.” It looks like the only thing that would have made Jimmy happier on that club date is if there were a pack of smokes and an ashtray next to his chair. (And to think that he prefers to stay in his dungeon, smoke, drink coffee, and fantasize about Aunt Bea.) Get outta that house and perform more like you did last night. Awesome.
I could listen to that music all day long. Cheers to Mrs. Bruno for coordinating the look of Jimmy’s left-footed rhythm section with his guitar. And I was glad to see at least one non-Italian on stage.

I Cant Give You Anything But Love?...I'm sorry ..but Jimmy plays circles around Russel Malone. (Russel is excellent so let me get that out of the way) however, Russel looks a bit cocky as well...maybe ...maybe not...not that big of deal, musically? simply not in the same league with Jimmy B...at least on that tune.
