I blame you for getting me into leather working a couple of years ago. 🤣

I blame my belt for falling apart, and there being a leather store on my way home from work. I can't work with my pants falling down.

Made a pair of leather moccasins for my American Girl doll Josefina and now I’m obsessed with remaking all her faux leather items with real leather, so thank you for all your tips!

Request for a future video: learning how to spot flanky or other unsuitable parts of the belly (or a side for that matter) and why to avoid them; and are there
any uses or fixes for those areas.

This right here. I have been struggling with cutting straight. The tip about grip tape is a game changer for me. A little Auqilim 315 and strips of sandpaper, sharp blade and cutting mat, huge struggle was almost immediately eliminated.

OLD Leather Smith here, yes Chuck all those R great things 2 know 4 getting started. I started a loooong time ago so I use a straight razor blade snd round knife and an exacto knife 4 intricate cuts. Your leather thicknesses R right on. U might want 2 try a carpet end protector 2 use as a straight edge and it also protects fingers, U just have 2 sand off the blunt edge. The pondo board is great I also use 4 cutting and stamping. Just some things I have learned 2 use in my shop. GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️🥎🙃

Chuck, thank you so much for the great videos! I just started in leather working and have found your videos very helpful. I made my first order from Weaver for leather today. I chose to start with bellies from one of your videos. Time to dive in!
