Great video guys, I agreed with most of your rankings, other than Final Frontier - the second half of that record has some really great tunes, particularly Starblind and The Talisman. Took me a while to get into it, but once it clicked it became a favourite of mine. Keep these videos coming!

I didn't watch your full video. First of all, I would like to apologize for that. I still found some of the statements strange. An album is too long? Are you serious? When it comes to Maiden, I'm thankful for every minute. ;)
I have often thought about creating such a list for myself. Maybe I'll do that and maybe I'll even make a video out of it, but in German. But I already know one thing, the order will be different. When "x factor" came out I probably would have shared your opinion, back then I almost hated the album. ;) Strangely enough, today it's the other way around. I've come to love it over the years and there are some really strong songs on it. Right at the top of course "The Sign Of The Cross" which still gives me goosebumps today. Long story short, even if I haven't seen everything, you get a like, just because of the effort. Nice greetings from Germany.

Clive basically was suffering on the road. And he was diagnosed with MS unfortunately . An amazing drummer who never even practiced before his first audition with maiden

7:32 You can hear a definite change in maiden on fear of the dark Bruce was growing frustrated and ready to pursue something different. I believe that taking Adrian out of the equation was key in that . Blaze Bayley was and is certainly a great vocalist . He definitely is a humble enough man to be quoted that Bruce is the guy who should be fronting maiden . Same as Paul Diano
Maiden having three guitars and the song writing team of Harris smith and Dickinson is definitely the key to their success . All three guitarist bring something unique in their styles and they can play very well together live . That being said they have never really had any mainstream success they definitely shined more during their time with Martin birch . He is a legend obviously not just for their recordings but for many other bands . I think Bruce’s voice was also due to aging constant touring and his recent battle with cancer . But they are definitely adopting a more orchestral approach in their later albums .

7th son is their high water mark for me. The Di Anno albums are great but the first is ruined by the production and Killers tails off badly. I think all of their albums have duff tracks - Gangland, The Duellists, Deja Vu - there's always a turkey in there. But on 7th Son it's The Prophecy which isn't too bad. Probably helps that I remember queueing up on release day and rushing home to listen to it. Worst thing about the whole album is the fucking jumper Nicko is wearing on the inner sleeve!

Controversial opinion: I liked The Final Frontier a lot. I always have. It just clicked with me for some reason. Music is subjective I know but imo that album is underrated.

It’s a pretty good album, probably one of the better 2000 onwards albums.
