However, you're right in that there's a lot less black MLB players than there were say, 30-40 years ago. In the 1940s and 50s when the majors finally stopped barring black players, they showed up in large numbers and changed the game. In recent years black athletes have gone more for basketball and football than baseball. Lots of reasons, too complicated to list here...
