Part of the script for the grand battle:
"Dans le Forez, des bandes de routiers passent à intervalles rapprochés, pillant et massacrant sur leur passage.
Pourtant en ce jour du mois d'août, Montrond le Fort est en liesse. Le seigneur Artaud de Saint Germain organise en son fief réjouissances et tournois en l'honneur du Roi Charles VI en visite sur les terres du Duc Louis de Bourbon.
Alors que la fête bat son plein un groupe important d'anglais parcourt la plaine du Forez. Déterminés à piller la région, ils réussissent à pénétrer sur les terres de Montrond le Fort. Grâce à la mobilisation générale, ces routiers sont repoussés ou capturés. Mis en difficulté, ils acceptent la trêve qui leur est proposée."
