That was me sitting right next to him on his left!! I only just came across this last night. I’d seen the programme on TV in 1975 but we didn’t have video recorders back then so this is the first time I’ve seen it since. Roy was a true gentleman and saw us backstage and took photos and signed autographs. I’ve still got the backstage photo of me with him. So lovely to see the footage again he was my teenage crush!!
OK, it wasn't live but Roy Wood is one of the most talented musicians this country has ever had. I can imagine him playing every instrument as well as filming it. He really is that good. Thanks for all the music Roy.
First4radio.com Tuesday nights 9.pm to 11.pm I play a large selection of pop, rock soul and Reggae,I do occasionally play some of Roy's music,he is in my opinion one of the best musicians/some writers ever
If only Roy, in the USA, was recognized as one of the greatest songwriters of his time. For me Roy is right up there with John & Paul, Mick & Keith, Brian Wilson and Ray Davies. Sad that he was not recognized by the American record buying public.
It is a fair point as a quite incredible amount of British musicians were (still are) heavily influenced by the black blues players of the US. Although I guess you could say a lot of our bands did make it big with their version of the blues - the Stones, Purple, Zep etc etc.
He was from one guy from Detroit Michigan. I've been listening & owning his recordings of the Move & his solo & Wizzard since about 1970. I believe Brontosaurus was the first song I noticed. The Move is my favorite band of all time. I like the early stuff & love the Jeff Lyne period.
are any of you sitting there with roy? it would be nice to hear your memories of the day, especially the young dark haired girl sat right next to him who must be 61/62 now
@@susanhawker8134 wow thats amazing, i wondered who she was sitting right next to him? can you remember much about the day and how long it took to film one song as he's on the drums, guitar and sitting with you! how did you feel seeing yourself there, a pretty, young girl?

@@eddieingalls534what was the point of saying this? Showcasing well known and obvious information?
😂😂😂
It was the managers fault. He put all of his time attention and money into ELO and decided Wizzard was for the UK market.
The ultimate one-man band ✨💙✨🎷
This is 2nd only to See My Baby Jive as my favourite from 1975 ❤

Been a fan since 1972
Great 1975 memories for me 💖
What a beautiful moustache!
So good. Why did the 70s have to end?
I so agree 😥😥
Talented Roy Wood
Mi sarebbe piaciuto vederlo dal vivo, in Italia
This song got to no.13 in the UK singles chart in June 1975. Turned out to be his last solo hit.
Amazing because the singles from Mustard were so good. Always thought Any old time will do should have been a big hit.
❤️🙂
Клёво!!

Anyone notice his drums say Beverly , an ode to his friend perhaps ?
Yes, I did, Beverley is a UK based manufacturer of drums and percussion, it's nothing to do with Beverley "Bev" Bevan.
