Did you get the companion app on the watch?
1.) Try this: after tapping the three dots in the top right and selecting import watch.
2.) Tap the triple lines in the top left corner
3.) Select “your name Z Fold3” (or whatever your phone name is) from left column menu
4.) Then select the “Downloads” folder from the list of folders
5.) then search for the watch file (it’s sorted in alphabetical order) and click it
6.) this should work. I just tested it on my Fold 3 / Watch combo
@@CJKnowsTECH Thanks this did the trick for me :) Just wanted to ask aswell, for the always on display it doesnt seem to show the ticking hand go around , just the hour hand and minute hand updating until i wake up the watch is this normal? If not I kind of want AOD to display it actually ticking

I believe the companion version is included with the premium. I choose to install the premium version on both the phone and watch at the same time and I only paid for premium.
When I click import watches all the files are grayed out. It won't let me select it

You need to create a new folder in download folder and move the watch face to that folder, than you can select it and install it.

I just figured out how to do this on my Watch 4. They just updated the app yesterday so you can pick the Galaxy Watch 4 so you don't need to pick a different non Tizen watch type. Thanks for the video!!!

I've followed your instructions but when I get to the part when I import my watch face file, i can't select any file in the import window. I see all my files but I can't select anything.

Yo fam I appreciate your video, but we have different definitions of easy. To me it's opening a store, scroll through the faces and select a one. They made the process way too difficult. I like your style, keep doing what your doing.

Thanks for this great video but I'm having a issue maybe you can help with. I got thr paid watchmaker app ok my phone and watch. I downloaded the watch from the site you provided. I opened the app went to my watches clicked the 3 dots then import watch faces. I can see the watch face downloads but they are light gray as if they are missing or incomplete and it won't allow me to open them on my S21Ultra any idea what I'm doing wrong. Thanks for your help.

I have exactly the same problem. If anyone figures it out please do respond. Also, Watchmaker now supports the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic using WearOS, so no need to select Huawei Watch 2 as described in the video. I am using a Galaxy S22 Ultra phone and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.
I'll watch this as I too have a Note 10+ and the Galaxy Watch 4 arrives in the next 2 days. Let me know if anyone found a fix.
@@2LadyDi read my comment above, that's the fix, rename the .watch file after having downloaded to something else or just even delete one character from the file name and save it and then for some magical reason watchmaker will be able to use it

Hey ! do anyone know why i can't select the file .watch once i'am in the watchface app and that i have to import a new watch ? I purchased the 6.99 dollar premium package though...
By the way, I solved the problem by downloading the .watch file on my SD card instead of the by default folder. Hope it helps someone
Maybe this is why it didn't work in Watch Maker using the Watch 5. The app asked me which watch I had and I told it that I had the Watch 5 but what you explained might be the workaround.

I did everything in the steps. This must be out dated. Currently using Galaxy watch 4 classic. Have the file show up in my watches but when I send to watch it doesn't change the face on the watch. even going through the app itself does not send to the watch either.
Go to the "wear" app on your phone, tap on "watch faces" scroll down to "downloaded" and set "watch maker" as your watch face. Now go back to watch maker app and set ur custom watch face.😉

My problem with the bands is the gap. Drives me crazy. I bought my watch today and went straight to a jeweler. For about 35 bucks they can custom fit any steel band to make it flush and finished.

@@CJKnowsTECH I picked up my galaxy watch from a watch repair jeweler. Dude it's perfect!! Stainless steel band with the links. Brushed stainless so it matches the watch. He literally shaped it flush to the watch. Give it a shot bro

As a newbie to Galaxy Watch and new onwer of a 4 Classic, I have found your videos informative and helpful. Unfortunately,, when I download a Rolex face it saves to my phone as a .watch file but when I go to import it, I can't select it. When I try and open it, it says there is no program associated with that file extension. Any ideas?

Not a big watchmaker fan (make you pay for too much, lol) but you on the right path for customizations... Facer is DEFINITELY better, there are many others as well.

My man! I just bought the app after watching your awesome video. I have an issue though. I love the black breitling watch face from svartling and in brightness (daytime) it's just fine. But at night my watch autodim the brightness and there's left a weird shadow on the face watch. Is it for you too?
You gotta get the stainless silver band with the spacers that cover the space where it connects band to the watch covers the pins on the front where you can still access it easily tho for take a part..

I have a problem I downloaded the app from the galaxy store and bought Premium but there i can only select samsung watches with tizen so all samsung watches but not the watch 4 then i downloaded the app from the google play store and there I can select all the watches, including the watch 4 but I no longer have Premium there, do I have to buy Premium again?
Yep. It's the one from the Playstore not the one from Galaxy store.
Why they aren't the same is beyond me.

Hello! I seem to have a little bit of a problem... On every face I use, I get the notification "preview mode, triple tap to unlock" and it doesnt seem to disappear at all

Hey, my man cj unplugged. I have the Galaxy watch 3 and watchmaker premium from the Galaxy store. I just got the watch 4. Do I need to download watchmaker and re buy premium from the Google Play Store? Also, can I use the watches that I made for my watch 3 on the watch 4?

I downloaded the app on my phone and paid for premium. I tried downloading the faces, and when I try to import the faces through the app, it's greyed out and I can't select the downloaded files. Galaxy watch 4 classic uses galaxy wearable app on the phone, and not Wear OS. Does this make a difference? Pls help.

I might get the classic one of these days just to switch it up for different look but... idk, to me getting the chunky metal band, esp with the classic just makes it look like any other basic, cheap ass old school 80s-90s watch lol. I get the argument that the non-classic has the black bezel, which for me is between "meh" and actually kind of liking it. Especially since most of the time it's off so it just looks clean.

I did everything you said word for word and I can't download the watch faces I direct downloaded onto my watchmaker app. Idk what went wrong and now I'm afraid I downloaded something I wasn't suppose to

I got the watch face up, but then it says "preview mode triple tap to unlock". When I press unlock, it comes up with an error.

Looks like I made the right choice going for the 42mm in silver. Rolex makes watches between 36mm and 44mm and their date just faces are 40mm average. So getting a custom rolex face on the silver model would look hella beautiful. Especially in the summer with a blue band... sheesh I'll be dripping hard this summer lol

When I downloaded the watchface I want, it's greyed out on the app and won't let me import
Help lol
1.) Try this: after tapping the three dots in the top right and selecting import watch.
2.) Tap the triple lines in the top left corner
3.) Select “your name Z Fold3” (or whatever your phone name is) from left column menu
4.) Then select the “Downloads” folder from the list of folders
5.) then search for the watch file (it’s sorted in alphabetical order) and click it
6.) this should work. I just tested it on my Fold 3 / Watch combo
Bonus: someone also said that it's renting the files .watc instead of .watch (check this also) - Also heard moving the file from download folder works as well...
Hi, I installed everything and it was working perfectly for around a year or so. Now my watch face is saying Preview mode, tripple tap to unlock. Can anyone help please?
