While Mary was proven right at the end of the episode, she was wrong to not allow Missy to try. She needed to see what babysitting was like to see if it was for her. Now Missy knows, raising kids is not for her and I’d hate to sound like an after school special, but this experience taught her that. Though Missy must’ve gotten better at it, because she ended up with four kids as an adult.
You don’t need parenting skills to give birth though. Just because she had four kids doesn’t mean she was equipped to raise them
@@giantrobby5050 You do have a point but the optimist in me wants to think that she might’ve gotten a little better at it to the point of being decent. Otherwise I’ll depress myself thinking about four kids being raised by a crappy mom. Then again, maybe she married Raj and he’s the one who’s more involved with the kids. Again, the optimist speaking.
This Mary version is the worse! This Mary is wasting her time in church! She thinks she gets to play her family like a chess match. No one can do anything with out her thinking she has a say in it. She treats her husband like dirt! Lord forbid he takes up for one of the other kids because she’s made it clear no one exists for her but Sheldon! She treats her other two kids like a chore she rarely shows affection to but Sheldon is the center of her world! On season four final episode where Missy runs away and Sheldon goes with her she said it all…Don’t follow me because Mom will blame me like always! This woman needs to meet Jesus because she is playing church! She is a self righteous biotch and thinks she is everyone’s judge!
@@katluann You're not getting any argument from me. Yet, at the same time, I think Mary's poor parenting explains why Sheldon turned out to so insufferable. He actually believes that he should be constantly rewarded for everything he does and, for a long time, had no problem with taking credit for other people's work. Which is a much better explanation for Sheldon's behavior than autism something that, as an autistic person myself, I find insulting.
It could also explain why Missy's life is such a mess because Mary never gave her the love and support she needed to truly grow. Meanwhile George, the one who was giving Missy love and support, dies and my theory is that it will turn Missy into a broken shell.
@Christopher Bingham It was her first time babysitting. Just because Missy failed it the first time doesn’t mean she didn’t learn as an adult. Better yet, maybe she did struggle with it and her first husband was a bum who didn’t do shit. Maybe Raj was her second husband and he agreed to take care of the domestic responsibilities while Missy got her real estate license. It’s my headcanon and I’m sticking to it until Young Sheldon tells me otherwise.

@Christopher Bingham it’s not really being irresponsible, she did a good job and the baby is safe and was fed, changed, burped etc. She was just tired as it is more work than she expected but she handled it really well… Proved Mary wrong anyway 😅

@Christopher Bingham Because she didn’t realize how good she actually did, especially for her age… it’s the same with a lot of new parents out there, they may think they’re failing as parents but they’re not. Missy handled it well.

Being the eldest cousin in the family and having babysat all my cousins when they were babies AND went up to Calculus 3 and Linear Algebra in college, yes Math is harder than babies Missy. I agree
I do not agree (unless you were being sarcastic), then again I like maths
So happy to be a PS major. I only needed to know how to graph my results and turn them into something meaningful or informative. That is way easier than calculus OR babies.

@Christopher Bingham Okay maybe babies are easier to me bc I have natural mom/ parent intuition and once I carry a baby, he/she stops crying and goes to sleep or stops crying. Math in the other hand, always has problems smh. (I was not a math major or anything, I was just gifted and didn't like to fail so by senior year of hs I had passed my AP Calc BC with a 5 so I had no choice but to keep going)

Mary may have been right in the end but it still doesn’t justify her lying and she can split those hairs all day but I bet Jesus still thinks it’s lying because Mary will lie and manipulate to put everyone exactly where she wants them! She’s playing church and showing everyone just what she wants them to see, what she thinks is a perfect church lady! Mary on Big Bang loves Sheldon but she’s quick to point out his flaws and make him behave. She doesn’t treat Sheldon like a little God! Convincing everyone else it must be their problems because Sheldon is perfect. Her catch phrase is Sheldon’s upset I don’t like it! She couldn’t care less if either of her two other kids is upset. It’s more like they will get over it!

I went to church with my mom when I was a kid in I noticed her and her crew would gossip about a lady that didn't show up. On the way home I told her you know they talk about you when you're not there ? She refrained from slapping me but I know she wanted to. God I miss my mother rip maw.

Next time when she babysits, it’s best for her to look after the older ones. Babies 👶 tend to make a mess a lot. Plus, the diaper changes tends to be overwhelming
The first time I babysat a small baby was when I was 13 after two summer of watching the older kids in the same family. Baby was 15 months and beginning to be pretty mobile. I was supervising dinner while the parents and grandparents got ready for a night out. Baby spit up all over himself. The next youngest age 4 tried to pick him up and slipped and fell in the spit up. Parents come out in fancy clothes to me trying to handle two toddlers covered in spit up with their older two daughters laughing at me. I was almost in tears and said: “Are you sure I’m ready for this???” The parents assured me babies are resilient and they were only a call away. The rest of the night went well. I’m now 26 and nannying my 8th and 9th babies. I’ve been through colic, teething, potty training and more. Nothing phases me anymore but it isn’t for the faint of heart. When I meet my friends straight after work their fav game to play is guess what that stain on your shirt is 🤣🤣🤣

Only an insane person would want to babysit an actual baby with all of the diaper changing. If you're a teenager you should only try to babysit kids that are potty trained and more of the kindergarten age.
Oh please. I was babysitting an infant when I was 12. As long as the parents changed the baby right before they left, you'll only have one or two dirty diapers the rest of the evening. Sack up!
You should most definitely never babysit if that’s how you feel! I love babies and at that age I really loved babies! Dirty diapers? My husbands aunt would walk in and say I want to hold the baby provided it’s not drooling or has a dirty diaper! I said who asked you to touch my baby anyway?

if I was a parent I would actually be proud that my children would wanna babysit. cuz it teaches them responsibilities outside of being a kid, although being a kid is important and every child should live life in their youth. having children babysit at a young age like her could be very beneficial in certain situations. like what to when a child is bleeding, crying, it unlockes our parental instincts that have yet to be achieved. so I think in all honesty I think every child should babysit and I think every parent should at least attempt to teach their kids responsibilities for when they aren't around for. oh yeah, that's called CHORES
