That seemed really light and flat. I wonder if this approach could create a foundation for large acrylic pour painting. I've used hardboard with wood slats attached to the back side previously, but the edges and corners deformed as the paint dried. Maybe a thin layer of cement to make it rigid, then the paint to make it tough. Semi gloss paint would be shiny without needing to be sealed. In our area, you can pick up paint for free at the hazard waste drop off site.
