- I broke my selfie stick during this run. They're not built to last forever. Fortunately, I had a backup at home that I could use the following day. But buying one of these on Amazon is more difficult than it should be. Whenever I go to a link to re-purchase another selfie stick, the company or the producer or the product no longer exists. It makes it hard for when people ask me which selfie stick they should get. So, here are the things that I look for (and the things that I specifically stay away from).
Incidentally, the listing for this new selfie stick that I purchased less than 30 days ago is already gone. Actually, the company has kept the same description and listing (and ratings), but has replaced the product I purchased with a similar product that has the exact features that I specifically avoid! (do not get selfie sticks with ball heads at the end)

Call me old fashioned but I still love my little GoPro Shorty stick for running. Fits great in a hydration vest and has a mini tripod built in to get those sweet staged running shots for my Strava kudos.
i've used many different sticks of that length (there was a period last winter where that's all I had due to difficulty finding a replacement for this style of stick), but they seem a bit short for shoe level shots

So, I decided to acquire the Gopro and same as your selfie stick you recommended. i used to run ultra long distance 1200km with 24days Yokohama to Kyushu. BUt, I did not much took a photo and movie at that time. i was affected by your channel to take a movie like you. Please give more a shot sample you recommended i expectations! Nice, I have GoPros stick with the tripod and its the worst for telescoping it. How are you keeping the video from flipping upside down when filming your feet? I always just flip the footage in post, it looks like your is flipped while recording. I think the GoPro has that feature...haven't seen that yet. I have the Hero 8

Loving the way you film with the stick but don't fancy carrying it on long distances. I can store in the back of my running jacket I guess but would have to keep taking it off to access it 🤔

I think there are Super Glue's that will repair your broken stick stronger than new. Good timely video, I am looking for something decent for my new Hero 8. I am currently using the Insta360 selfie stick and it works pretty good.
Do you have a remote or how do you deal with quickly turning on and off capture? I am new to this and have been holding the camera and always use Quick Capture button on top.

Been wondering how u make the stick disappear in your videos. Now I know thanks. Your hands muscle must be pretty strong now holding selfie stick with a heavy camera on the end while running at you pace 💪

They were temporarily unavailable due to shipping/production issues from that part of the world. And if I use a GoPro, I need to attach a quarter 20 to GoPro adapter for the two cameras I use right now - GoPro hero and Insta360 one R. And that extra part introduces another wobble point
Hey Kofuzi, I’ll try to ask this during one of your live streams too, but I’m curious which action camera you prefer to run with. I purchased my 1st action cam on Black Friday 2019 - the GoPro hero 8. I purchased new from GoPro so I’m disappointed to find it freezing up during runs often and just all around glitchy/unreliable. I’m considering the Insta360 One R or One X now but prior would have added the GoPro Max if it wasn’t for the reliability issues I’m experiencing with the Hero. Thanks for all you’re doing with the channel, and for the running community! I started watching about a year ago as I was training for my first marathon - Chicago 2019.
i have not met a camera that i haven't had to pull out the battery and reinsert to overcome a freeze during a run, including every single camera you've mentioned.
i prefer the hero 8.

@@DPerezmedia I've only used mine in hot weather and not faced any issues. Some reviewers on RUclips also mention how it's reliable that way compared to GoPros.

Plastic and metal parts fatigues/weakens from frequent hard use and breaks off. Planned obsolescence. Buy another. Or, Gorilla Glue it ! ...🙉🐵
