Pastor Logan, Thank you for Talking church. Thank you Russel Hunter for your biblically informed courage! You have given conviction to my belief! God bless both you men. Our world needs godly courageous men.
I'm an abolitionist. Unapologetically. Abortion is murder and we should not murder, no matter how small that person is, or where that person is located, or degree of dependence. If you have committed this sin, repent and believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be forgiven and set free.
@@robertpetrie2536Ignore Marshall, he's a troll who lurks in abolitionist comment sections. Don't pay him any mind. His arguments get shot down time and time again, but he just keeps coming back with the same points.
I used the description of abolishionist in my politics before I was a christian. The abolishionists used the Billof Rights and the bible to back up their ideas. It is the way to the kingdom and do the Lords work.
@Talking Church Podcast Pasor Logan, I saw that another commenter had pointed to Tucker's interview with the Means duo re infertility. That reminded me of an episode Allie Beth Stuckey (Relatable) had speaking to a Dr who'd been involved in IVF, & after coming to Christ & seeing all of the dark side of IVF had gotten out of it, & now she helps fix infertility issues in other (natural, looking at the causes) ways. Y'all might want to check out that episode. May God bless you both as you continue seeking to serve & trust Him in all you think & do. SDG

Pastor Logan hopefully you see this, some food for thought. I don’t want to presume you and your wife’s infertility situation but I was recently watching Tucker Carlson’s podcast with Casey Means and she talks about infertility and biggest problems and causes, and how to turn that around and that most doctors are kind of clueless with root causes , you might want to check out that podcast, I think it could be helpful. It’s the one with Calley and Casey.
I think people who make exceptions on abortion lack fear of the Lord. By that I mean they do what is right in their own eyes without reference to how God feels about it, because they think too much of themselves. Having changed my own position I speak from experience.
Please pray the mother of my child doesnt abort I sinned and I fornicated. My ex-girlfriend just contacted me and said she’s pregnant. She has the ultrasounds and everything. She asked me to take her to get an abortion. I begged her not to. I told her I would take care of her and the baby. Anything she needs. And if she didn’t want to be in the babys life, I would take the baby and never bother her again. Please pray God changes her heart and mind

I agree with the abolitionist movement but, how can you argue that incrementalism is the wrong way to go, in this fallen world? Creation was done in 1 day increments. Babies are grown or gestated in 9 month increments. The Bible says to be as wise as a serpent. When a serpent hunts it moves in increments that won't alert it's prey. When we progress in life or in different aspects of life we progress incrementally. Righteousness for most believers is achieved in increments of turning away from sin day-by-day. It's everywhere in creation and everyday life. I totally understand cutting the cord and political leaders passing the law if it were possible for them to have the courage. If I was elected, I pray I would vote that way but the reversal of Roe is a huge win if it can save 1 more life. Is it not? Now we're on the ground in each state to push abolition with more wind in our sails. Am I completely wrong? Will God not reward you for running the race foot by foot? Who starts a race, takes one step and wins the race?
50 years of incrementalism proves the fallacy of your argument. The "Pro-Life" industrial complex profits from just keeping the system going with the promise of change without actually accomplishing it. There is no amount of acceptable murder, end abortion now! Support abolition or don't fool yourself that you are truly pro-life.
@saywhatnow7365 No, incrementalism is partiality, using unequal weights & measures, & God hates that. It is also, as the law is a tutor teaching the culture that the life of the pre-born baby is NOT important. When the law says it's ok to unalive a pre-born baby if: it is under a certain age; the result of r*pe or *nc*st; can't feel pain; doesn't have a heartbeat; the mom isn't ready to be a mother; the baby might be handicapped, poor, etc. None of those are reason to m*rder an innocent baby. Also, incrementalism doesn't work, it's what got us where we are today.

Incrementalism doesn't aim to get rid of abortion just how there were people back then who wanted to get rid of slavery little by little by giving slaves rights instead of giving them the basic human right of not being owned by another person so by outright wanting to get rid of slavery as a whole and working for that instead of just one thing that could be a "step" slavery was abolished. You can't abolish abortion in steps which just allow exceptions for abortion if you want to get rid of abortion you don't limit abortion you get rid of it.
I think abolitionists make sound, moral arguments. I think Pro-lifers are losing ground. However I’m still sympathetic to the idea that abortion being legal in most states and even encouraged by many “Christians” makes mothers feel the option isn’t as morally wrong as they should. That’s why my wife and I are in the adoption process right now. Still processing 🤪
