I’ve just purchased the 17 inch model for £800 in the UK, nothing comes close for this money. 1. I have had two HP Envy laptops and the keyboards are among the very best available. NONE of your criticisms are even close to being correct or accurate. I have owned two very expensive Dell XPS laptops and the keyboard on both HP Envy laptops are much better than the XPS laptops. 2. You can add significant volume to the speakers in the Bang and Olufsen app that comes with the laptop. 3. The back lighting on the Envy laptops is competitive with most rival laptops. It's not as good as MacBook laptops, but you're not paying $4,000 for an HP Envy like you would for a MacBook.
The envy is in a diffirent tier compared to the Ideapad 3. This is a premium laptop while the latter is a budget tier laptop. Depends what you want and how much you want to spend.

I will most probably be going around with an extra keyboard.
I hate how you have to trade out a decent CPU to get a decent GPU. Why cant I just have the i7-13700H and the RTX 3050 at the same time? Or at least have an option for an i5-12500H and an RTX 2050
I have one of these new 17 HP Envy laptops and as much as I like the laptop's premium feel, I am having a huge problem seeing the backlit keys where the backlight doesn't seem to be bright enough to see the keys. What choices would I have. I know I could return the laptop, but does anyone know of what options there are that might solve this problem? I wonder if all light gray laptops from any brand have this issue?
You could purchase a separate keyboard. I am not sure if they can be bought with backlighting or not but there are numerous wired and wireless options to choose from online and in stores.
@@nickbachman663 I appreciate the suggestion, but I won't be satisfied with that. I am looking at bringing it somewhere to get a different keyboard installed. I really like this laptop for what it has and for what I paid for it. I won't get anything close to this quality level without spending another $700-$800 more on top of what I paid for this one. 17 inch 4k display 1tb ssd wifi 6e. I had it customized, and with a $400 discount came out to $1350 total with tax.
@@josefernandez2722 just switch off backlit during day and puit it on at evening. May help
Thanks 😊 ❤
No problem
how did you get 8.4lbs for the weight?
I assumed it with boxes weight, that’s my mistake. It’s around 5lbs for the laptop it self. Apologies for the confusion.
How's the camera clarity ? for auditions
You can always get a webcam
I must be doing something wrong, since I got the exact same model and the battery lasts 2-3 hours only just looking at youtube
Has anyone found a compatible pen for this laptop?
Since I'm posting this is early 2024, I assume that HP model laptop is CHEAPER now? I'm searching for a 17 inch HP laptop.
Should this be 400 nits , HP ENVY 17T-CR0000 Rfrbd NB PC
Windows 11 Home

Is this laptop 64 bit?
oh lord 8+lbs geeez that's insane nuts & DOESN'T HAVE A DVD OR 90wh batt? so long HP back to LG 17 gram, thank you for the review!
Total package weight is 8. Laptop only weighs 5.5lbs. 55Wh batt.
So there are 2 USB C ports and you have to use one to charge the laptop?
My HP Envy 17 came with a malfunctioning USB Type C port. The port is not reading any device you connect to it, except the charger.
Is there anybody who can tell me what might be the problem? All the other port and everything else is working perfectly.
Does this has face recognition or finger print reader?
yes both
Love the Envy 17, but its battery life is highly disappointing. 18 months after the purchase the battery life is no more than 5 hours just surfing the internet. very poor performance in my opinion.
Thanks for you feedback! Im glad you are having a great time with your Envy laptops.
This vs ideapad 3 (both 17.3 inch)?
The envy is in a diffirent tier compared to the Ideapad 3. This is a premium laptop while the latter is a budget tier laptop. Depends what you want and how much you want to spend.
100% sRGB is okay lol, 125 would have been much more interesting instead of touchscreen imo
I see what you mean but keep in mind about 90% of the laptops even in this range dont even make 100% still.
can it run games like minecraft, roblox, and genshin?
Please tell me which generation is it

Very top row of buttons. Sixth from the right….. weird 🤷♂️

can i use a pen on this screen?
Help me
Lenovo flex 5i ,hp envy x360 or HP pavilion 14 x360
HP is always better than Lenovo, so forget the first one. Between the HP Envy and Pavilion, personally I’d always go with the Envy series.
Hp for business industry and recommended
@@chainsapphire9526 Dell is even better for business and industry - most firms and industries I know use that over HP.

Thanks, this video helped me to decide NOT to buy this thing. I hate these glossy screens.
Sound and Screen test are a joke... You HEAR and See only what YOUR system handles. Kinda like saying wow that TV has a killer picture when seeing it for the first time in a commercial on your old as dirt TV!
If I don't include it someone on the opposite side of the spectrum will critique me for not including it ( Which use to happen all the time before I started including it). If I do I'll still be subject to critique by people like yourself. By including it I try to make both sides happy, the ones who want it have it, the ones who don't can skip it. Hope this helps, have a great day and thank you for your viewership :)
I changed my mind I not getting this 😅
lol
No match with MAC books 😀
I returned my upgraded m2 MBA and got an envy x360 :)
I will never go back to a 15inch after having a 17
Bro can its play games ???

The worst laptop I bought in my life.
