Get the longer panels for high ceilings so you don't need to patch the tops , it never looks right , at the joins ( unless you have very low standards )
Glue supplied had got a decent grip and it was enough in this case, I've cut panels tight between skirting and ceiling, so it was wedged. Also, the wall was perfectly flat.
@clementrantlhwathlwa6229, what about when you come to remove or relocate. Won't that damage the wall underneath. Wouldn't screws be a better option so you can fill them in.
I have screwed it because I know my wife will change her mind at some point then I will have to remove it and repair damage to the wall . A few screw holes is much easier to fill .
They did. Wall was perfectly flat and supplied glue is very grippy. Also I've cut the panels tight between skirting and ceiling, so they've been wedged. If wall is not very flat I would put one or two screws per panel up high in-between the slats and paint the heads black so there can't be seen
I'm not sure, I've never done research on that subject with these panels. They might help, since back board is felt fibre and slats have gaps between them, so plenty of surface to break sound waves and to absorb Please check Acupanel website
@@rosemason4812That's a good option if you have the tools and skills to make them. The average home owner, that just needs a couple of panels, these are a nice easy solution.
Sorry but it would really annoy me seeing that the panels don't go right to the edge of the chimney breast. I would have gone beyond the edge and taken it around the corner with a single slat.
Cost of the panels can be checked on Amazon here

We bought our panels from our local area for £70 each and they are like 2.7m long.
Will be installing it over the weekend.
That is nice price 🙂
All the best

Of course 🙂👍
I’ve just fitted these on my chimney, you’re lucky I had 2 sockets to cut round 😂
2 sockets, that would be annoying😉
Do you have to nail it to the wall? Or glue is enough? Thanks!

What if you want to remove them? Reposition or similar.. Better to screw the to wall@@mrfxr1695
adhesive ATK 812 glue is the best for this.

Is the wood with or without stain/finish?
It is prefinished with some kind of lacquer
Where in the UK are you based ? Do you cover South East ?
Chichester and Arun districts
Sorry the worst video I for this I’ve ever seen thumbs down for me
I have this product
nice video thanks. If i have a radiator to fit on panels will it hold?
Thanks.
You would have to fix it through the panel into background wall, not into the panel itself. I definitely wouldn't
Nice but they sell an end strip that would have looked nice on each end
I know, but customer supplied materials
Hi, what is the color of these panels? Thank you
Hi, it is Acu Panel contemporary oak
this bar can be mounted on the ceiling?
Yes it can with adequate fixings
Did they panels stay installed well without using screws or nails? I would prefer to not have visible screw heads.

@@mrfxr1695or use black screws?
@@Oldyellowbrick sure 👍
Would these help for recording vocals at home. Fo they actually work to reduce sound

How much would someone charge to install if i purchased the panels myself.
Depends on area where you are and level of workmanship
What about dust accumulation?
I suppose like anything else in the house, regular dusting and vacuuming should do fine
Just use a brush attachment on the end of a vac, that’s what we do.
How much are they?
Customer paid for them so I don't know exactly, but think about £100-130 each
That would be roughly $200 dollars here each. Rather buy the wood and make our own.

Get good quality stuff , some of theveneers are paper thin and splinter off when cutting , even masking tape will damage it .
Of course, there are many cheep options online

Design and layout is a personal preference, I have discussed all options with customer before installation and he opted for this one
That is not designed to cut out sound it’s only for decoration purposes
Sorry buddy, I didn't design it, I've just installed it for a customer. Any complaints should be raised with manufacturers
