Hi! Your vids helped me a lot with opening a private server to play with friends and making, so first of all thank u! I have one question though: it is possible to create an item with special effects or at least modify a pre-existing item in the gamefiles? Im looking after this because i want to remake Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian to make it viable at lvl 80 but i cant figure it out how to add both the party buff (increased crit. chance by 2%) and the ability to make a portal to Karazhan :c Thanks again and keep up the vids! They're helpful and concrete.
I am glad I was able to help you create those experiences. If you want to re-create it, that staff has multiple versions, so you can overwrite an existing one without harming the other ones. Use the Display ID of the Staff and put it in the Display ID field, and then take the staff Entry ID of the item and put it in the Entry ID field. Then Go ahead and edit all of the values to your desire, export it, overwrite it if it asks to. Relaunch your server, Close WoW and delete the Cache folder, open WoW up and you should have the new staff version in the game.
to make portals you type the command: .gobject add for example .gobject add 183325 for a portal to Stormwind. So after i overwrote a unused item with the new Trinity Creatot Atiesh, i just copied the spell_id of each special effect into it... and that process works this way: spell_id=id of the spell ; spelltrigger=how the spell is triggered (0=clicking the item when equipped if its a weapon/armor or rightclicking it if is an object ; 1=the spell triggers when the item is equipped ; 2=it has a chance on hit to trigger ; 4=soulstone [idk what that mean] ; 5=use without delay [again.. idk] ; 6=make the user learn the spell listed [used on tomes, like Cold Weather Flying]). The next lines are spellcharges (0=infinite uses ; negative value=the item dissapear after the charges are depleted ; positive value=item will not dissapear after using all charges); spellppmrate=if spelltrigger=2, then this value control the probability via probability per minute ; spellcooldown=cooldown value on ms (-1 to use the default cd) ; spellcategory=category of the spell [idk how this value works] ; spellcategorycooldown=cooldown shared between same category spells [like potions shared cd] and i think thats all. There are 5 slots for spells per item (consumables like potions, food and bandages are considered spells aswell, and all spells id are listed like the itemsid on wowhead links) As an example, my Atiesh have the spell_id_1set to 28148 (it makes a portal to Karazhan), with spelltrigger_1=0 (usable via right clicking it when equipped), spellcharges_1=0 (infinite uses), spellppmRate_1=0, spellcooldown_1=-1 (default cd), spellcategory_1=0 (just copied the same value from the original Atiesh) and spellcatgorycooldown_1=-1 (just copied the same value from the original Atiesh). I mean, I understand why it occurs, but: 1) I have never had this error before (about a year ago when I was working with database); 2) The same error occurs with other Database-sql (with the same 1.12 mangos); 3) This error occurs with Item, Quest and Creature. However, the others (Map, Faction, Title, etc) do not have this error. Necessary в "Configure database" (mean - Configure MySQL) change "World database" on "world" (not “auth”, as it was set for me). However, this does not answer the question of why before, with the same settings, everything worked fine for me, but now it doesn’t...

also as a warrior sometimes when you "charge" you charge through the ground and fall to your death. so theres a few bugs like that which would make it very annoying if it was true hardcore lol
When I try to export an edited item I get an error: Database Error: Unknown column 'FlagsExtra' in 'field list'. Can you help me figure out what this error is?
Ik it’s a year later, but I found the problem I had. I was looking at the wrong database info, I was looking where it said Trinity Trinity world, but below it was the correct sql info where is said root ascent World.

@@hungariannerd8445 Oh, I thought for some reason you had created a special vendor in Tanaris with all of your custom gear in it? I'm guessing you just drop a vendor via GM commands and then fill it with the item id of the custom gear?
@@coachkory1373 oh yeah, i just picked some random vendor that nobody has ever used in the entire history of playing the game - and then do .npc remove item until they all gone, and then re-populate it with the items i want. There is a way to just add custom NPCs and vendors - you can do it with the trinity creator, i havent personally gotten around to doing it myself yet

So I got it to work with a 50000+ model but as advertised the skills wont work and the model is bugged a bit (completely green) and awkwardly placed as a shield on my paladins forearm. Was still fun to mess with though!

how can i add 100000 agi? that is alway change to 60000
can you make atlas loot reference overwritten items? For instance if i edit all tier 3 raid items, will atlas loot reflect those changes?
