    At this point I think its un questionable. This deck is insane. Season after season hitting Diamond 1 and now given the NEW Tear 0 Meta and still on track for Diamond one. It is proven that this old deck still has what it takes given the Master Duel Meta. This deck is so much fun and even more fun when the Mighty Master of Magic gets all the waifu's. Come back after trying the deck 2-3 days ago (I wasn't really confident enough before to play this deck) with "optimum" build. I burn my URs and it is very worth it. It is a very fun deck and it gives different experience than other decks that I have played before. After I understand the basics of the deck, I change the deck a little bit.
    1. I add Amorphage Sloth, this is a good and fast go 1st set-up. I don't really like long combos.
    2. I switch Secret Village to Necrovalley, Secret Village sometimes hurts me more when I brick. For Necrovalley, this can be a good floodgates and spell counter without hurting my play.
    3. Switch Spellbook engine to Magicians' Soul package. Didn't eat my normal summon, free level 1 for Anima, throw any Endymion/Mythical Beast to GY and reborn it with Selene, and change any "dead spell" to draw card. I think it is better because Spellbook needs some specific cards to work, when Magicians' Soul can work alone.
    .
    I think there are still a lot possibilities and potencies of this deck, and I need to learn more about this deck.

    • @shadowspector3611
      @shadowspector3611 Год назад

      Glad you’re having better experiences with the deck! It definitely gives a unique experience as opposed to the same recycled combo every game with most other decks.
      1. Amorphage Sloth looks like the best one to use since it has the level of Jackal King and scale of Abductor, so the deck already is familiar with utilizing something like it.
      2. I also removed Secret Village since the spell format is over with. It’s now the graveyard format and I put in Necrovalley.
      3a. I also removed the Spellbook engine because I found that the Ishizu cards were milling them from my deck and making the other pieces dead cards. I replaced them with Triple Tactics Talents because of how prevalent Havnis is and also how prevalent Tear-hate and Maxx C are.
      3b. Also I never liked Magician’s Souls in Endymions because he has to send spells that you could’ve used to get you counters. Also the deck doesn’t use many HOPT cards besides Mastery and maybe a second Bestiary, so the spells you have typically can always be activated. Lastly, Souls sends for cost so if he’s met with a disruption, you’re essentially going -2 and probably will lose the game.
      I hope your able to better master the deck and have tons of fun with how satisfying it can be. Goodluck!

      That would be a great card for going first and if you know you will be going first, I’d encourage it as a good tech since it’s so easily searched, summoned, and does not conflict with your scales (if you’re only going to pen summon from your hand). Il have shadow answer this one

    • @shadowspector3611
      @shadowspector3611 Год назад

      That is correct. In fact with the new addition of Mythical Beast Bashilisk, I now use Jackal’s effect three times in one turn regularly. It’s even possible to use his effect four times. One time is to normal summon him and remove three to summon Jackal King. Then use (another).Jackal King to pop himself and summon back Jackal. Use Jackal again to remove three and summon Bashilisk. Then use Magister to remove three and summon himself out and Jackal again. Use Jackal a third time to remove three and summon Jackal King. Then you can use Bashilisk to remove three and add Jackal back to your hand. Summon Selene to refill your board with counters and use her effect to remove 3 and summon Jackal. Then use Jackal for a fourth time to remove 3 and summon Garuda. Then you can go into Abyss Dweller.
      There you go: Mythical Beast Jackal 4 times in a turn and is not only possible, but practical as well.

    • @shadowspector3611
      @shadowspector3611 Год назад

      But also Jackal King can use its effect multiple times as long as it leaves the field and comes back. The regular plays of Selene allows me to reuse my negates. So if I use Jackal King’s negate and bounce him back with an Endymion negate, I can use Selene to remove three to summon back Jackal King for another negate.
      On my rank up game to get into M5, I summoned two jackal kings out and my opponent triggers Kelbek. I negated and he used his graveyard effect so I negated again. Then I went into Electrumite and pendulum summoned back my two jackal kings. I used Bestiary to mill two and my opponent tried to use two Bystials to banish what I milled. I then triggered both Jackal Kings again to negate and leave them with only two cards in hand. And I still ended my board with 6 negates (2 jackal kings, Selene, Magister summoning Endymion from extra deck, and Endymion summoned from pen scale to pop).

      I also have a Hero deck (got to D1 last season, becoming the first time I hit D1 not using Endymions). The biggest upside to using Endymions this format is because of all the graveyard hate. Other decks are using cards like D Shifter and Dimmensional Fissure and they pass on just that so Endymions can decimate their board. Tear players rely on their Ishizu shufflers to be even more disruption but Endymions are unaffected. For Heroes though, Tear can still be very problematic because of those graveyard shufflers. Fortunately Malicious banishes for cost but DPE is not a boss-monster against Tear anymore. They can still Sulliek Vyon. Handtraps are still an issue. And don't forget anti-tear decks use cards that also destroy Heroes because they're anti fusions and anti graveyard. I agree that Heroes are still very strong but I'm not sure how this format is good for Heroes as it is for Endymions.

      @@shadowspector3611 I think it’s because of turbo plasma out along with Dark law and have dark angel on there field it’s almost practically a gg. I once did a board with dpe, plasma, and mist all in defense position. Summoned angel on opponent board. Special summon Dark law in draw phase. It was gg for the tear players.
      But I do think it isn’t as strong as Endymion. You can play whatever variation of Endymion & do well. My biggest complaint is TCBOO. Anyone running that card (mainly subterror or control deck players) basically beats me every time cause I can’t respond to it with Endymion effect. Which is weird cause it doesn’t say no cards can respond to it.. yet I can’t do just that lol.

    • @shadowspector3611
      @shadowspector3611 Год назад

      @@PridedWaif Unfortunately you can't use Plasma and Dark Angel on the same board because Plasma negates Dark Angel's effect, unless Konami creates a new card that allows Dark Angel to be unaffected by your own card effects. Also I forgot about how Dark Law is the Tear-counter, but I'm more referring to going second since you'll lose every coin toss in Diamond. Of course both Endymions and Heroes can wreck Tear if you go first just by getting 6 negates or committing to a Dark Law play.
      And you aren't getting a response window to respond with Endymions? That's strange because TCBOO definitely can be negated. Is your toggle off or are you going against Labrynths where they say "your opponent cannot respond to your trap activations"? There might be some hidden effects for Subterrors as well that make their trap effects spell speed four.

    Is it possible for Endymions to play through naturia exterio or is that game over?

      @thefinalanomaly  Год назад +2

      I want to say it’s game over though I think there is a replay on here where that is the case and shadow wins. I’ll definitely have him answer that one though

    • @shadowspector3611
      @shadowspector3611 Год назад +3

      When Exterio is on the field before your first turn, it can be extremely difficult to play through, but there are two outs in the deck. Unfortunately both of these outs rely completely on your opponent’s behavior.
      The first out is that your opponent has to summon Exterio in either zones two or four and you need Mythical Beast Jackal in your hand. You can summon him and then summon Relinquished Anima to steal Exterio. This is easily stopped with any monster negate though, but it’s an option.
      The second out is Mythical Bestiary. Since Exterio is infinite spell/trap negates, your opponent will most likely get cocky and negate everything they can. People don’t see Mythical Bestiary too often though so they don’t know of its floating effect. (Even people I duel all the time at my locals forget about Bestiary and they still try to pop my backrow.) If you see Exterio and you have Bestiary and a normal summon in your hand, you can summon your monster and activate Bestiary on it. Your opponent will most likely negate and destroy Bestiary and that’s when you can trigger Bestiary in graveyard to summon any monster from your deck. Exterio can only negate the activations of spells and traps but Bestiary’s effect in graveyard is a spell effect, so neither Naturia Beast or Exterio can negate it. When you summon from the deck, you can summon Endymion with two spell counters to crash into Exterio. Your opponent will not be able to get rid of him since he can’t be targeted or destroyed by card effects (unless they have Droplets set). Then you get to search a normal spell on destruction so even though you gave up your battle phase, a normal summon, and a spell in your hand, you still have a decent shot at winning after that.
      If your opponent summons Exterio on turn 2, it’s no issue since you’ll already have had your spells activated or you’ll have Jackal King out to negate. But if you’re really worried about Nat Beast and Exterio, I recommend using Dark Ruler. Konami will usually give it to you in your opening hand if you go second.

    • @shadowspector3611
      @shadowspector3611 Год назад +2

      There definitely is a budget version! But it is SR heavy rather than UR heavy. Something to remember is that you only need 8 UR’s to have a competitive version of the deck. Those 8 UR’s are: 3 Jackal King, 3 Endymion, 1 Electrumite, and 1 Avramax. And if you already have pen mages built, then you most likely already have the last two so it’s only those 6 UR’s.
      Rather than the Spellbook Engine, you can put back in Spell Power Grasp. It actually is still a really good card since the hardest thing to do is get your initial counters at the start of your turn. It’s like Bestiary except you can get your third counter by activating another scale. I still use Grasp in real life and it has won me many games.
      For your draw cards, you can stock up on Into the Void. Upstart Goblin is great but it can be difficult to get the UR for it, and in this build, I only use 2 Void and 1 Desires. A 3rd Void and 2nd Desires would do wonders. And if you still have room in your deck, you can also put in the Toon engine. That’s 3 Toon Table of Contents and one Toon World and if you have it, Magician’s Souls can fill up the deck. I don’t like using the card very much, but Souls is easily attainable by purchasing the DM structure deck for 500 gems.
      Other alternatives are Magician’s Right Hand (free counters and a counter to Dark Ruler) and Secret Sanctuary of the Spellcasters. Extremely good for stopping Ignitions effects and also preventing Zeus since they can’t attack.
      Hope this all helps!

      Beyond negates your scales so you’ll lose all your counters. She also stops your monster effects so you’re extremely vulnerable to hand traps. Endymion’s pendulum summon should be the last action taken in the turn and Beyond forces you to pendulum summon early just to continue your turn, so she often ends your turn prematurely. She’s good in every other pendulum deck besides Endymion.
      Astrograph is just boring to use. Endymions can do anything they like with how creative the deck is, but Astrograph just turns the deck into Clicking Simulator. I understand it’s powerful but I can pull out just as many negates with my build and actually have fun doing it.

    • @shadowspector3611
      @shadowspector3611 Год назад +3

      Hi, Tramone! So Cerberus is a level 8 monster and the highest scale Endymion goes up to is 8. Pendulum scales can only summon monsters whose level are in between those scales so since the lowest scale is Servant and Reflection as scale 2 and the highest is Endymion and Magister at scale 8, only monsters levels 3 through 7 can be pendulum summoned. The only monsters you can never pendulum summon in this deck are Mythical Beast Jackal and Mythical Beast Cerberus. But don't worry as you can still summon either one using Magister, Reflection, Servant (only for Cerberus), Jackal King and Jackal (monster effect). You can even summon either using Selene as well if you milled them with Bestiary (or your opponent milled them with Agido or Kelbek).

    • @shadowspector3611
      @shadowspector3611 Год назад +1

      @@LILTRACUZ514 So Beyond the Pendulum works in any other pendulum deck besides Endymions. She negates your scales which makes them lose counters and she prevents you from using monster effects which leaves you vulnerable to Nibiru or other interruptions. The whole goal of Endymions is to collect as many negates in your hand and extra deck before you pendulum summon but Beyond forces you to pendulum summon early just to continue your turn. She also makes it so that you need to go into her early in order to avoid getting Nibb'ed but when that happens, you're going into her instead of summoning Electrumite, and there is no reason to summon Beyond instead of summon Electrumite.
      Triple Tactics Talents has been a very strong card but I never used it in Master Duel since it is not guaranteed to be usable. It is always a risk to have it going first because if your opponent has no handtraps, then you are essentially using a 4-card hand which can mean the difference between 1 negate and 6 negates. However with the new Tear format, you are going to lose the coin toss 99% of the time so you essentially want your deck to be a going-second deck. Also Herald of Orange Light, Maxx C, Ash, and Havnis are very common to see now so on the chance that you do go first, your opponent is almost guaranteed to have a handtrap so Triple Tactics is a very good card. I actually just put two copies into my MD deck two days again. I removed the Spellbook engine for it because the Ishizu cards kept milling my Knowledge or Blue Boy which was making my have dead cards in my deck.

      And yes, Beyond hurts you a lot, but if you own a copy, you can probably keep her in as a "just in case" kind of deal for late-game when you no longer have Electrumite. • @shadowspector3611
      @shadowspector3611 Год назад

      Hey, Zachary. I’m not sure if this comment is just to be funny or not, but in case it’s serious, Bystials do absolutely nothing to Endymions. The deck utilizes the graveyard to such a minimum extent that Necrovalley is even main decked is numerous versions of the deck. It’s a reason why the deck can play through Dimension Shifter most times too.
      Selene is quite literally the only time Endymions use the graveyard. The only scenario where the graveyard would be interacted with throughout the duel would be with Bestiary milling 2, the Charmers summoning from the opponent’s graveyard, Selene reviving a spellcaster that somehow was sent there, and Accesscode Talker banishing links to pop the board. 90% of the time (when I’m not playing Tear), I never have anything in the graveyard so Bystials still do nothing to me. As a matter of fact, in TCG back in the tier 0 format, the opening games were actually much easier because people were main decking Bystials with the idea that they’d summon them by banishing from my graveyard, and then they’d have completely bricked hands because none of their Bystials could trigger. And then they’d side out all of their Bystials for games two and three since they did nothing (and in a best of 1 format, duels are going to be even easier with the opponent bricking on Bystials). The most common time a Bystial was used against me was when they banished my IP Masquerana from graveyard, and even then, once IP is in the graveyard, she’s already gone for the rest of the duel.
      The only time where Bystials would affect me would be if Agido or Kelbek milled Endymion and Jackal King to the graveyard and then the Bystials banished one of them (which was still uncommon even in the tcg tier 0 format). Even when my cards are milled with Kelbek or Agido, they are typically gone for the duel unless I revive them with Selene, so I’m already used to dealing with what’s left in my deck, and it still doesn’t affect my ability to win as much.
      So in summary, the release of Bystials will actually make Endymions even stronger since the opponent will have more dead cards in their hands. Hope this answers everything!

      @@shadowspector3611mm this is a weird list actually. Most lists use astrograph searched from electrumite overlay into absolute dragon to go into the vortex dragon for an omni negate. That sends endymion to the grave to be revived by selene. It is typically facilitated by magicians souls pitching mighty master from deck and revived by selene as well. It’s a bread and butter combo which uses GY twice
      Why aren’t you running that combo in the first place? It is very low cost to deck building and lets you get out more negates easily

  • @renaldyhaen

    1. On my way building Pendymion, after looking at the decklist, it looks not really expensive. After 3 packs, I got 3 Master Cerberus, 1 Jackal King, 1 Endymion, 1 Selene, 2 Servant, 1 Knowledge, 1 Spell power and 3 copies of Endy's lab and the field spell. I already have the rest of generic staples and pendulum staples, or I can craft it because those cards are still useful in other decks. *But* for Upstart Goblin, I don't really want to craft it, any alternative?
    .
    2. 22 counters and without pendulum summon, really impressive and satisfying to watch. For the misplay, yeah I know milling 5 cards is too good, but just with 5 mill and then they got 2 big monsters with negate, 1 small monsters, and 2 cards in hand for backup. That looks really broken. This slot-milling-machine deck looks auto-pilot and very luck-based than any other decks.
    .
    3. Limited 1 card, yeah I see that Instant Fusion and hard draw field spell a lot. I actually have Instant fusion for my Relinquish package too in extra deck. Relinquish package is good for going 2nd because it can turn 1 spell into 2 breakers (Thousand-eyes + Anima) or protect your combo by summoning Millenium-eyes. But for myself, I can't count how many times I draw this spell, because what I remember, never. Maybe I need dozens of matches again to draw this spell at least once before it is banned.
    .
    4. Anyway, more PEND BEST DECK LET'S GOOOOO!

      Hahah. I’ll have to ask shadow a good alt for upstart goblin. Those where some great pulls to get most the cards. And yeah it’s insane how much advantage tear can get. But I’ll ask shadow about the upstart alternative

    • @shadowspector3611
      @shadowspector3611 Год назад

      1. Everywhere I go, everyone is commenting about how expensive the deck is and I’m there like “it’s not that bad. You should see my Omni Hero deck.” You use need a playset of Jackal King and Endymion as well as Electrumite and you’re already 70% there. Also Upstart is excellent and I’d recommend using it over anything else but if you don’t have it, try checking your inventory for any Chicken Games, Triple Tactics Talents, or even Dark World Dealings or Dragged Down to the Graves. Into the Void is at two in my deck but you can also put it up to three. And if you don’t have any of the previously mentioned cards, one of the people in Anom’s server named Dominus utilizes the Toon engine. It essentially does what Upstart Goblin does except the card added is somewhat useless and it is more of a chance to brick. But it still does what Upstart Goblin is supposed to do.
      2. 22 counters is so satisfying to see Selene count up with. But also the moment I clicked on Jackal King (I was playing on mobile), I immediately tried to see if I could go back because I know you aren’t supposed to negate it. Legit Agido wouldn’t have done anything to me since I could still go into Accesscode and pop the board without any issues so far. Also this deck looks very luck based indeed but that was Konami’s reasoning when making it. Thinking about how it could whiff in their mills so they’ll give it extra broken effects. The issue is that you can just fill your deck with everything that wants to be milled because even if you draw those cards, they work just as powerfully in the hand. If you want to see a normal version of the “slot-machine” deck, look at Adamancipators. And if you want to see a balanced and nostalgic version, look no further than Flower Cardians.
      3. Insta Fusion is insane and actually broken in Endymions as well. You can use it to summon Relinquished and use it as an honorary Called by the Grave. But the most disgusting thing you can do with it is use it to summon Winda and then link Winda and Electrumite into Selene. Then use Selene to summon Winda back and it won’t be destroyed during the End Phase. Insanely broken.
      4. *Insert Triff gif here*

      Honestly, I’m so happy that one of my first deck-themes from 2009 is competitive today. Ever since season 1, the deck could hit the highest rank (of course Drytrons was an auto lose every game -_-). It’s very difficult to use since every play has to be perfect, and not only that. You also have to outthink your opponent going second with what they’ll do and also know every single deck you face inside and out to know what’s the correct negate you choose. Endymions may be powerful and satisfying, but they can be stressful at times.

      So, this deck cannot afford to run any handtraps or cards that don’t have a guarantee to be used. When I first started using this deck, I tried using Ash Blossom and it bricked the hands majorly to the point where my end board would be just one negate. This deck requires every card to be working with each other. You get a starting hand with Servant, another pendulum, maybe a Citadel, and two hand traps, there is absolutely nothing you’ll be able to do with that. You need each card in your opening hand to work with each other because by the time you’re activating Abductor in your scale, you’ll have enough counters to trigger Servant and by the time you’re putting counters on your field, you can trigger Abductor to search Endymion. It’s all like a closed-system within the deck and if you put a hand trap in the deck that doesn’t help the gas of your turn, it can very well be the end of you. (In fact, with a card as powerful as Secret Village of the Spellcasters, even it didn’t do enough to continue my turn into my normal 6 negates.)

    So Natura Exterior cannot negate spell or trap card that is already on the field?🧐 As an Endymion player, If I go second and opponent has Natura Exterior summoned, that’s absolutely the end for Endymion. But with Anima, I think there is a slim chance that Endymion can play through Natura Exterior.

    • @shadowspector3611
      @shadowspector3611 Год назад +2

      Nat Beast and Exterior are cards that are absolutely devastating for Endymion (like Anti-Spell Fragrance). But if your opponent summons either one and you have Bestiary and a normal summon in your hand, you have a chance at outing it. With infinite spell negates, your opponent will shotgun their negate every time without reading, but if you normal summon a monster that can hold counters and activate Bestiary and they negate it, Bestiary will trigger in grave to summon a Jackal King to negate or Endymion to crash. The reason they can’t negate Bestiary’s graveyard effect or any of your scales while they are face up is because they are spell effect activations and not spell card activations (Nat Beast and Exterior can only negate activations). And if you have Magister and Bestiary in the opening hand, you can normal summon Magister and use Bestiary. If your opponent doesn’t negate it, you can try attacking with Magister to get the third counter and if Magister is still face up, you can trigger his effect during your opponent’s turn to summon a negate from your deck for your next turn. It’s very slow, I know, but this at least gives you a fighting chance.

      Astrograph makes the deck have the same combo over and over again. With this build, you can design your own combos each time.
      There are barely any HOPT cards in the deck so Souls would send cards that would normally get you spell counters. You’ll be losing potential counters and drawing into more pendulums usually. Also Souls sends for cost so if he gets negated, you basically lose right there.
      The Spellbook engine is great. Unfortunately with Tearlaments, Kelbek and Agido will mill some of your Spellbook pieces which makes the other parts dead in the deck. So I removed them for Triple Tactics Talents.

    • @werewolfjedi38

      @shadowspector3611 I get that. A astrograph does make the deck predictable. I just figured the power output was worth the trouble.

      @@werewolfjedi38: it’s not just predictability. One of the things I love about Endymions is that it’s an incredibly creative deck. You see an issue and you (almost) always have a way to a solution. It’s essentially a sandbox deck where you can do whatever you want. With Astrograph though, the deck just because like every other deck. The same recycled combo every single time where now it’s just Clicking Simulator. I prefer the multiple routes where you can know that you got an end board from your own skill.
