11:05 Something I forgot to mention here is that Electrumite is also another way to grab a negate out of the deck before pot of desires. The only issue here is that Electrumite would’ve been my 5th summon and I had no counters on my field. I could’ve went into Electrumite first to make sure I didn’t banish an additional negate but it would’ve left me vulnerable to Nibiru and I didn’t think it was worth the risk.
That’s exactly what I have to go through every game lol. I I have to think about where I want my endboard pieces to be and then figure out how many counters I need to trigger things in the exact order as well. Needing to play around Selene’s link arrows makes it that much harder to think.

The odd eyes engine being absolute dragon and ODD EYES VORTEX DRAGON AFOR ANOTHER OMNI NEGATE and the final card i suggested is secret village of the spellcasters your opponent cannot play any spells at all if he has no spellcasters THANK YOU ANOMOLY AND GOD BLESS U cannot wait for the next tournament.
Spell books can be very very helpful when they work, but if you use the same deck over and over, Master Duel loves to start bricking your hands to “encourage” (force) you to start using other decks. I was using the Spellbook version and they kept making me start the duel with Knowledge in the hand. In a fair algorithm, the Spellbooks are strong since you have a decent chance of opening Secrets or Blue Boy before you do Knowledge, but you need to watch out for Konami Syndrome (MD bricking your hands after a while). Having said that, people like to try and run Spellbook of Judgment now that it’s legal and after actually testing it, I now see that with this version of the Endymion deck, Spellbook of Judgment actually doesn’t do enough. It’s much better in a deck that utilizes all of the Spellbooks such as Mastery, Fate, and Eternity, but in a deck that only uses 2 Spellbook spells, Fate can’t actually do anything for the deck. You’d need to run multiple copies of Knowledge and Secrets in order for Judgment to be able to search for at least 3 spells (the necessary amount to summon Jowgen from the deck) but then you risk opening up double copies of those spells. I made a point in another comment that I don’t run any HOPT at more than one besides Mastery at 3 and Bestiary at 2 (and Bestiary is still good even if I open up double). The way to counter getting multiple copies of a HOPT card in the hand is to run Magician’s Souls, but at that point, now you’re running a gimmicky card (Souls) to make other gimmicky cards work (multiple Knowledge and Secrets) so you can make Spellbook of Judgment work. At that point, it’s just not worth it anymore. Lastly, even when Judgment can search the Spellbooks and summon another spellcaster during the end phase, it just doesn’t do enough because you literally get nothing when it’s activated. It just gives you a spellcounter. With cards like Upstart and Into the Void, it gives you a spellcounter and then immediately replaces itself so you can continue your combo, but Judgment can’t do anything else for you when you activate it, causing your turn to possibly end prematurely. In conclusion: Judgment is great in a full out spell book deck but it’s not good in a deck that only utilizes the draw engine.
Both are really good cards. The issue with Triple Tactics Talents is that it’s a situational card. If you’re opponent doesn’t have any handtraps, it can really hurt your turn because you have a useless card in your hand. Called by the Grave can be the same way except even when your opponent doesn’t have any handtraps, Called acts as another negate during your opponent’s turn as well as another way to get counters if you’re experiencing drought. One Day of Peace can also be a great option except it increase the chances of your opponent drawing Maxx C, which is one of the most broken cards in the entire game. One Day of Peace can also give you another turn in case your opponent activated Maxx C in the draw phase, but then you’re stuck with ending your turn and letting your opponent build an entire board with a full hand (since you gave them one with Peace). I did use One Day of Peace in the recent festival since Mastery was at 1 and it was alright in the deck, but I still wouldn’t keep it main decked.
Thanks! Endymions is such a satisfying deck to use. It’s just so cathartic to mass pendulum summon all your negates that you’ve spent the entire turn recruiting. I’ll definitely be sticking with the deck and if these videos do well, Anom might bring me back for even more Endymion duels!
Have you ever try incorporating the supreme king dragon darkwurm engine with foolish burial and dragon shrine? Does it make the Endymion deck more viable? Also, would instant fusion help this deck with millennium eyes restrict? It can negate handtraps effectively
I’ve seen decks try and utilize Darkwurm but it involves putting a lot of potential bricks in the deck. When I put cards in the deck, one of the things I think about is how it would affect the starting hand since your opening 5 cards will determine the outcome of the entire duel. With Darkwurm, you’re putting in cards like Foolish Burial and Dragon Shrine, also the two Gate monsters as well in hopes that you don’t draw them since Darkwurm already searches them. If you start out with any gates in the hand, those are cards you’re not going to be using at all if you don’t also have access to Darkwurm. Also if you have Darkwurm in your opening hand, there isn’t a way to discard him to the graveyard to use his effect, so you’d be forced to normal summon him (and miss out on your Blue Boy normal summon or your Jackal King normal summon). Don’t forget this is if you get Darkwurm and no other garnets. You could still get Darkwurm and Dragon Shrine in your opening hand and have even less options. If you’re main-decking Darkwurm every duel, those are several games where you’re having the possibility to open up dead cards, which isn’t worth it in my opinion. Maybe someone who uses the Darkwurm engine already has some inside information to make the garnets not as bad or how to deal with them, but if you’re trying to establish hefty Endymion boards, you’re going to want to make use of as many cards as possible. And yes, Millenium Eyes Restrict is 100% a great option. I built an ftk version of the deck because I wanted to get the secret missions done (“win by ftk 5/5 times”) and ftk’s obviously only work if you’re going first. Since I lost the coin toss many times, I put in millenium eyes restrict so that Insta-Fusion wouldn’t be a dead draw. It helped out a lot because it not only stops handtraps but also steals opponent’s monsters as well. Also after you use it’s effect, Restrict is a spell-caster monster so you can use him and Electrumite to go into Selene (and maybe even revive Restrict back for another negate if I’m not mistaken). Also Restrict can be there if you need a spell caster for Spellbook of Knowledge, and with the Spellbook engine just coming in, Insta-Fusion and Restrict might actually have a good place in the deck.

removing into the void, desires and adding secret village, astrograph, odd eyes xyz and fusion, judgement, master and fate is much better IMO. since endymion deck activates ton of spells, judgement is the OP tech card for it. adding tons of spellbooks + special summoning a spellcaster - jowgen at the end phase is nuts. citadel and institution can also be change to magician's soul

@@thefinalanomaly yeah I mean I still got supreme king starving venom and the odd-eyes pair but I don’t even use them that much. I do need to trim my build down to 40 and strip the pot of desires from the deck. Allure of darkness and Spellbook of knowledge with upstart goblin should be enough draw power. I’m still kinda debating on keeping chicken game and I have thought about adding Jinzo and level limit area b just to further lock players out from doing a thing lol.
@@notimeleft1: Number 89 is an excellent choice for getting rid of Zeus and taking a peek at what deck your opponent is using. It can help you better prepare for what negates you should prioritize as well. Definitely glad I came across it.
Would definitely love to do a more detailed video. It probably would be like the first deck profile video (where I explained the reasons for everything in the deck) except I’d be showcasing the intricate combos the deck can do as well as the unique exceptions (such as Servant and Magister’s floating effects doubling your counters on field) and some things to watch out for (like never activating wrong scales and never going passed 5 summons without Jackal King at 2 counters). I’m going to start making notes about everything to mention if we do do a more detailed video.
So Spellbook of Judgment is still a brand new card to me and I haven’t had any time to implement it. I held off on the Spellbook engine for a while because Knowledge doesn’t work with any pendulums, and even after putting the engine in, Konami started making me open with Knowledge every game after a while (which is horrible for my turn). I most likely will be putting Judgment in the deck in the future once I figure out the correct ratios of everything else.
No vortex/cross sheep combo or souls with SB engine smh 😔 also it's a bit conflicting to play it this way. Like SB engine tossed into a regular mythical beast list. U want blue boy as your normal summon but then u have little jackal which doesn't do anything. Or vice versa, normal summon little jackal and have a dead blue boy. List is a bit awkward imo.
So I don’t use Vortex/Cross Sheep because I’ll need to get rid of 2 of my negates to go into 1 negate which isn’t very helpful for my decklist. I don’t use Souls because I’d rather be activating my spells instead of sending them to the graveyard for more draws and risking Souls to be hit with Imperm or Ash which would just lose me the game. Also the only spell that’s a HOPT that I run at more than 1 is Mastery so Souls wouldn’t do much at all in this version of the deck. Lastly Blue Boy does not conflict with Jackal at all since I can summon Jackal from the extra deck with Magister and Jackal King (and getting Jackal in the extra deck is the easiest thing to do). Most of the time, I’m actually trying to search for Magister instead of Servant since Magister is usually 2 negates while Servant is just one, so I never really have issues getting to Magister and therefore won’t have any issues summoning Jackal onto the field without using up my normal summon. Keep in mind this is just if I have Blue Boy in the starting hand. If I don’t draw him but instead have Secrets, I can turn any of my smaller spellcasters into Artemis and use Knowledge on it and just normal summon Jackal anyway.
I’m not sure how shadow went about getting them. I think he may have just crafted them. Sounds like the cheaper option if there are cards your not playing
I actually got Knowledge, Blue Boy, and Crowley from buying the Endymion secret pack multiple times in hopes of getting a Royal Rare Jackal King or Endymion. I kept getting branch-off packs and some of those were the Spellbook engine. I just crafted Secrets after that and put it in. I only run one copy of each card from the Spellbook engine though so you’d have to just buy the structure deck once for 500 gems to get everything you need for it.
It's crazy how he's not getting bricks with the numbers in this deck. 2 of the 1 drop, 2 of the field spell, cutting most of the card draw with chicken game, no TTT, No magician souls for the extra bricky cards....I love the deck and play it but I lose to ash, veiler, imperm hitting electrumite alllllllll the time.
If I’m not mistaken and I’ll let shadow answer but I’m pretty sure she can’t be ashed. As for the other ones well yeah a well timed imperm will wreck anyones day lol. You should see the e amount of times I’ve seen him play through DRNM
It is really difficult to get bricks in this deck for me. It’s not just the algorithm helping me either because I use the deck in real life with a very similar build and I only brick 5% of the time. The main thing is that even with hands that aren’t as useful, you still can make big boards with them if you use your cards wisely. The Endymion cards all do a lot on their own so it’s mostly up to you with what order you use your cards in order to get the most out of your field (and also how risky you’re willing to play). I’m not sure what you mean by “2 of the 1 drop.” Citadel is a fantastic card. Although games can be a bit harder when I get 2 of them in the opening hand, I still utilize it well. Basically on a bad hand, I use the field spell to get me more counters so I can use Servant’s effect and go into Electrumite. And then when I use Electrumite’s effect to pop one of my scales, the counters go onto Citadel. It even works if I have two copies of Citadel and I activate the second copy after I’ve already used the first one’s SOPT. When Electrumite pops the card counters and Citadel gets them, you can use Citadel’s SOPT effect again. I usually use Abductor’s effect to search a pendulum and then I pop Abductor with Electrumite and add her back. Then Adductor can search again using Citadel’s effect since she’s also a SOPT. I had Citadel at 3 in real life and I got games where I got 2 copies and a Terraforming in my hand and my draw for turn was the third Terraforming. I definitely know how bad it can be to draw multiples of it. But Terraforming does a lot more good than harm with its way to store counters the entire turn as well as allow me to keep collecting counters even when using my Mythical Beast scale effects. It’s really good for the deck. I tried Chicken Game before and it conflicts with Citadel a lot. You’re usually wanting to activate your holders for when you use your draw cards. If you draw Servant and Citadel with Into the Void, you’re going to want to use Servant and then Citadel and then draw, but if you draw into Chicken Game, now you can’t use that card unless you’re going to remove your own Citadel and all its counters (and Citadel is really good for taking the pop effect for Endymion without losing all its counters). Also don’t forget that if you can’t pop Chicken Game (like if you’re unable to use Endymion’s scale effect during your first turn), your opponent gets an additional card they can use to play through your negates. That happened most of the time when I used Chicken Game (during the festivals) and it was just so frustrating that I was basically just helping my opponent win against me. TTT is a good card but I mostly see Imperm every game instead of other handtraps. While handtraps can be common to see, they’re not always guaranteed to happen, and TTT becomes a useless card in the hand (and don’t forget you probably won’t get it in the starting hand against handtraps). Called by the Grave can be similar except if your opponent doesn’t have any handtraps, it doubles as just another negate for your opponent’s turn as well as a way to boost your entire field with counters. If you end your turn with TTT still on your field/hand, it’s a card that couldn’t come into play, but if you end your turn with Called by the Grave, you are more at ease with its ability to do more disruptions. Magician’s Souls is a good card when he works but most of the time, I just get him in a hand full of pendulums (because Konami loves to give me those hands when I overuse the deck). Even if I get hands with only pendulums in it, I still have a way of winning if I use every card perfectly, but Souls would just be the nail in the coffin. Also Souls is good for getting rid of HOPT cards you’ve already used but this deck doesn’t use hardly any HOPT cards at more than 1. The only two cards are Mastery at 3 and Bestiary at 2 but even when I have multiple Beatiary’s, it doubles as a “Waking the Dragons” during my opponent’s turn or an another way to boost the counters in my field. I’ve seen people use Souls to send Citadel and Institution away but both of those cards are excellent to keep on the field for comebacks and follow ups to your opponent’s turn (especially since they can protect themselves). The only logical cards to send with Souls is the Terraforming that is at 1 and the Mastery in case I draw multiple copies of it. Every other spell is better for me to activate to get the counters rather than mill and risk the chance of drawing more pendulums (or getting hit with Imperm or Ash). Also I hate those handtraps with a passion. What I do though is that I pay attention to every time my opponent gets priority. I activate a scale. If it makes me wait, there’s a 90% chance my opponent has Maxx C. I activate Upstart Goblin, if it waits then and not before, my opponent has Ash. I summon Jackal, if it waits then and not anytime else, my opponent has Imperm (90% chance) or Veiler (30%) chance. (FYI: these aren’t real ratios.) So when I see that, I play around it by either keeping my most vulnerable cards activating last or I summon my negates before activating them. Jackal can summon Jackal King so easily so if you’re worried of your Desires getting negated, force the negate with Jackal or if they don’t, you have protection. If you’re worried about your Electrumite getting imperm’ed, try to go for Jackal and Servant. Servant can get you Endymion with a counter and then you can use Servant and Jackal to go into Electrumite. People still try to Imperm Electrumite even when Endymion is there on the field, and if you can use your own negates like Jackal King and Endymion on your own turn, the chances of winning go up exponentially!
So people say the deck is one of the most expensive decks in the game and it’s all false. It’s only expensive if you want to run all the super expensive cards like the Vortex engine, the Spellbook engine, Magician Souls and Chicken Game (all UR’s). The only UR’s you need are 3 Jackal King, 3 Endymion, 1 Electrumite and 1 Avramax. 8 UR’s if you want to use a workable version of the deck, and 6 of those UR’s are available in the secret pack if you just craft a Servant of Endymion or a Spell Power Mastery (2 SR’s you need at 3). The deck is SR heavy though with Citadel at 2, Reflection at 1, Into the Void at 2, Servant and Mastery at 3 and Desires at 1-3 (your preference). The extra UR’s you can use to make the deck better are Terraforming (but you can also run another Citadel if you’re just wanting to see it more), Upstart Goblin (which is really good for the deck), Master Cerberus (who just makes the deck more powerful but isn’t required for a functioning deck) and the Spellbook engine (which used to be really expensive but the structure deck gets you everything you need for just 500 gems). The extra deck doesn’t matter whatsoever besides the two I mentioned. They’re just there in case you need to go into them but Selene does help out a lot. Hope this helped!

Both are really good cards.
The issue with Triple Tactics Talents is that it’s a situational card. If you’re opponent doesn’t have any handtraps, it can really hurt your turn because you have a useless card in your hand. Called by the Grave can be the same way except even when your opponent doesn’t have any handtraps, Called acts as another negate during your opponent’s turn as well as another way to get counters if you’re experiencing drought.
One Day of Peace can also be a great option except it increase the chances of your opponent drawing Maxx C, which is one of the most broken cards in the entire game. One Day of Peace can also give you another turn in case your opponent activated Maxx C in the draw phase, but then you’re stuck with ending your turn and letting your opponent build an entire board with a full hand (since you gave them one with Peace). I did use One Day of Peace in the recent festival since Mastery was at 1 and it was alright in the deck, but I still wouldn’t keep it main decked.

Thanks! Endymions is such a satisfying deck to use. It’s just so cathartic to mass pendulum summon all your negates that you’ve spent the entire turn recruiting. I’ll definitely be sticking with the deck and if these videos do well, Anom might bring me back for even more Endymion duels!

Have you ever try incorporating the supreme king dragon darkwurm engine with foolish burial and dragon shrine? Does it make the Endymion deck more viable?
Also, would instant fusion help this deck with millennium eyes restrict? It can negate handtraps effectively

I’ve seen decks try and utilize Darkwurm but it involves putting a lot of potential bricks in the deck. When I put cards in the deck, one of the things I think about is how it would affect the starting hand since your opening 5 cards will determine the outcome of the entire duel. With Darkwurm, you’re putting in cards like Foolish Burial and Dragon Shrine, also the two Gate monsters as well in hopes that you don’t draw them since Darkwurm already searches them. If you start out with any gates in the hand, those are cards you’re not going to be using at all if you don’t also have access to Darkwurm. Also if you have Darkwurm in your opening hand, there isn’t a way to discard him to the graveyard to use his effect, so you’d be forced to normal summon him (and miss out on your Blue Boy normal summon or your Jackal King normal summon). Don’t forget this is if you get Darkwurm and no other garnets. You could still get Darkwurm and Dragon Shrine in your opening hand and have even less options. If you’re main-decking Darkwurm every duel, those are several games where you’re having the possibility to open up dead cards, which isn’t worth it in my opinion. Maybe someone who uses the Darkwurm engine already has some inside information to make the garnets not as bad or how to deal with them, but if you’re trying to establish hefty Endymion boards, you’re going to want to make use of as many cards as possible.
And yes, Millenium Eyes Restrict is 100% a great option. I built an ftk version of the deck because I wanted to get the secret missions done (“win by ftk 5/5 times”) and ftk’s obviously only work if you’re going first. Since I lost the coin toss many times, I put in millenium eyes restrict so that Insta-Fusion wouldn’t be a dead draw. It helped out a lot because it not only stops handtraps but also steals opponent’s monsters as well. Also after you use it’s effect, Restrict is a spell-caster monster so you can use him and Electrumite to go into Selene (and maybe even revive Restrict back for another negate if I’m not mistaken). Also Restrict can be there if you need a spell caster for Spellbook of Knowledge, and with the Spellbook engine just coming in, Insta-Fusion and Restrict might actually have a good place in the deck.

since endymion deck activates ton of spells, judgement is the OP tech card for it. adding tons of spellbooks + special summoning a spellcaster - jowgen at the end phase is nuts. citadel and institution can also be change to magician's soul

@@thefinalanomaly yeah I mean I still got supreme king starving venom and the odd-eyes pair but I don’t even use them that much. I do need to trim my build down to 40 and strip the pot of desires from the deck. Allure of darkness and Spellbook of knowledge with upstart goblin should be enough draw power. I’m still kinda debating on keeping chicken game and I have thought about adding Jinzo and level limit area b just to further lock players out from doing a thing lol.
@@notimeleft1: Number 89 is an excellent choice for getting rid of Zeus and taking a peek at what deck your opponent is using. It can help you better prepare for what negates you should prioritize as well. Definitely glad I came across it.

Would definitely love to do a more detailed video. It probably would be like the first deck profile video (where I explained the reasons for everything in the deck) except I’d be showcasing the intricate combos the deck can do as well as the unique exceptions (such as Servant and Magister’s floating effects doubling your counters on field) and some things to watch out for (like never activating wrong scales and never going passed 5 summons without Jackal King at 2 counters). I’m going to start making notes about everything to mention if we do do a more detailed video.
why no spellbook of judgement?
So Spellbook of Judgment is still a brand new card to me and I haven’t had any time to implement it. I held off on the Spellbook engine for a while because Knowledge doesn’t work with any pendulums, and even after putting the engine in, Konami started making me open with Knowledge every game after a while (which is horrible for my turn). I most likely will be putting Judgment in the deck in the future once I figure out the correct ratios of everything else.

U want blue boy as your normal summon but then u have little jackal which doesn't do anything. Or vice versa, normal summon little jackal and have a dead blue boy. List is a bit awkward imo.

So I don’t use Vortex/Cross Sheep because I’ll need to get rid of 2 of my negates to go into 1 negate which isn’t very helpful for my decklist.
I don’t use Souls because I’d rather be activating my spells instead of sending them to the graveyard for more draws and risking Souls to be hit with Imperm or Ash which would just lose me the game. Also the only spell that’s a HOPT that I run at more than 1 is Mastery so Souls wouldn’t do much at all in this version of the deck.
Lastly Blue Boy does not conflict with Jackal at all since I can summon Jackal from the extra deck with Magister and Jackal King (and getting Jackal in the extra deck is the easiest thing to do). Most of the time, I’m actually trying to search for Magister instead of Servant since Magister is usually 2 negates while Servant is just one, so I never really have issues getting to Magister and therefore won’t have any issues summoning Jackal onto the field without using up my normal summon. Keep in mind this is just if I have Blue Boy in the starting hand. If I don’t draw him but instead have Secrets, I can turn any of my smaller spellcasters into Artemis and use Knowledge on it and just normal summon Jackal anyway.
To get 3 copies of SpellBook cards I need to buy the pack three times in the structural deck paying 1500 Gems|?
I’m not sure how shadow went about getting them. I think he may have just crafted them. Sounds like the cheaper option if there are cards your not playing
I actually got Knowledge, Blue Boy, and Crowley from buying the Endymion secret pack multiple times in hopes of getting a Royal Rare Jackal King or Endymion. I kept getting branch-off packs and some of those were the Spellbook engine. I just crafted Secrets after that and put it in.
I only run one copy of each card from the Spellbook engine though so you’d have to just buy the structure deck once for 500 gems to get everything you need for it.
It's crazy how he's not getting bricks with the numbers in this deck. 2 of the 1 drop, 2 of the field spell, cutting most of the card draw with chicken game, no TTT, No magician souls for the extra bricky cards....I love the deck and play it but I lose to ash, veiler, imperm hitting electrumite alllllllll the time.

It is really difficult to get bricks in this deck for me. It’s not just the algorithm helping me either because I use the deck in real life with a very similar build and I only brick 5% of the time. The main thing is that even with hands that aren’t as useful, you still can make big boards with them if you use your cards wisely. The Endymion cards all do a lot on their own so it’s mostly up to you with what order you use your cards in order to get the most out of your field (and also how risky you’re willing to play).
I’m not sure what you mean by “2 of the 1 drop.”
Citadel is a fantastic card. Although games can be a bit harder when I get 2 of them in the opening hand, I still utilize it well. Basically on a bad hand, I use the field spell to get me more counters so I can use Servant’s effect and go into Electrumite. And then when I use Electrumite’s effect to pop one of my scales, the counters go onto Citadel. It even works if I have two copies of Citadel and I activate the second copy after I’ve already used the first one’s SOPT. When Electrumite pops the card counters and Citadel gets them, you can use Citadel’s SOPT effect again. I usually use Abductor’s effect to search a pendulum and then I pop Abductor with Electrumite and add her back. Then Adductor can search again using Citadel’s effect since she’s also a SOPT. I had Citadel at 3 in real life and I got games where I got 2 copies and a Terraforming in my hand and my draw for turn was the third Terraforming. I definitely know how bad it can be to draw multiples of it. But Terraforming does a lot more good than harm with its way to store counters the entire turn as well as allow me to keep collecting counters even when using my Mythical Beast scale effects. It’s really good for the deck.
I tried Chicken Game before and it conflicts with Citadel a lot. You’re usually wanting to activate your holders for when you use your draw cards. If you draw Servant and Citadel with Into the Void, you’re going to want to use Servant and then Citadel and then draw, but if you draw into Chicken Game, now you can’t use that card unless you’re going to remove your own Citadel and all its counters (and Citadel is really good for taking the pop effect for Endymion without losing all its counters). Also don’t forget that if you can’t pop Chicken Game (like if you’re unable to use Endymion’s scale effect during your first turn), your opponent gets an additional card they can use to play through your negates. That happened most of the time when I used Chicken Game (during the festivals) and it was just so frustrating that I was basically just helping my opponent win against me.
TTT is a good card but I mostly see Imperm every game instead of other handtraps. While handtraps can be common to see, they’re not always guaranteed to happen, and TTT becomes a useless card in the hand (and don’t forget you probably won’t get it in the starting hand against handtraps). Called by the Grave can be similar except if your opponent doesn’t have any handtraps, it doubles as just another negate for your opponent’s turn as well as a way to boost your entire field with counters. If you end your turn with TTT still on your field/hand, it’s a card that couldn’t come into play, but if you end your turn with Called by the Grave, you are more at ease with its ability to do more disruptions.
Magician’s Souls is a good card when he works but most of the time, I just get him in a hand full of pendulums (because Konami loves to give me those hands when I overuse the deck). Even if I get hands with only pendulums in it, I still have a way of winning if I use every card perfectly, but Souls would just be the nail in the coffin. Also Souls is good for getting rid of HOPT cards you’ve already used but this deck doesn’t use hardly any HOPT cards at more than 1. The only two cards are Mastery at 3 and Bestiary at 2 but even when I have multiple Beatiary’s, it doubles as a “Waking the Dragons” during my opponent’s turn or an another way to boost the counters in my field. I’ve seen people use Souls to send Citadel and Institution away but both of those cards are excellent to keep on the field for comebacks and follow ups to your opponent’s turn (especially since they can protect themselves). The only logical cards to send with Souls is the Terraforming that is at 1 and the Mastery in case I draw multiple copies of it. Every other spell is better for me to activate to get the counters rather than mill and risk the chance of drawing more pendulums (or getting hit with Imperm or Ash).
Also I hate those handtraps with a passion. What I do though is that I pay attention to every time my opponent gets priority. I activate a scale. If it makes me wait, there’s a 90% chance my opponent has Maxx C. I activate Upstart Goblin, if it waits then and not before, my opponent has Ash. I summon Jackal, if it waits then and not anytime else, my opponent has Imperm (90% chance) or Veiler (30%) chance. (FYI: these aren’t real ratios.) So when I see that, I play around it by either keeping my most vulnerable cards activating last or I summon my negates before activating them. Jackal can summon Jackal King so easily so if you’re worried of your Desires getting negated, force the negate with Jackal or if they don’t, you have protection. If you’re worried about your Electrumite getting imperm’ed, try to go for Jackal and Servant. Servant can get you Endymion with a counter and then you can use Servant and Jackal to go into Electrumite. People still try to Imperm Electrumite even when Endymion is there on the field, and if you can use your own negates like Jackal King and Endymion on your own turn, the chances of winning go up exponentially!

How expensive is this
I think it can be expensive but there is also a budget version. I’ll let shadow answer this one
So people say the deck is one of the most expensive decks in the game and it’s all false. It’s only expensive if you want to run all the super expensive cards like the Vortex engine, the Spellbook engine, Magician Souls and Chicken Game (all UR’s).
The only UR’s you need are 3 Jackal King, 3 Endymion, 1 Electrumite and 1 Avramax. 8 UR’s if you want to use a workable version of the deck, and 6 of those UR’s are available in the secret pack if you just craft a Servant of Endymion or a Spell Power Mastery (2 SR’s you need at 3).
The deck is SR heavy though with Citadel at 2, Reflection at 1, Into the Void at 2, Servant and Mastery at 3 and Desires at 1-3 (your preference).
The extra UR’s you can use to make the deck better are Terraforming (but you can also run another Citadel if you’re just wanting to see it more), Upstart Goblin (which is really good for the deck), Master Cerberus (who just makes the deck more powerful but isn’t required for a functioning deck) and the Spellbook engine (which used to be really expensive but the structure deck gets you everything you need for just 500 gems).
The extra deck doesn’t matter whatsoever besides the two I mentioned. They’re just there in case you need to go into them but Selene does help out a lot.
