- my deathless 100% speedrun of "Jurassic Park Part 2:The Chaos Continues" on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
played on the hard difficulty.
100%:
keeping the "Dino-Counter" at the top of the screen at 100% all the time.
this is totally optional and just for fun.
Hard Mode:
-all enemies have more health.
-after the Final Boss,there is an additional level(helicopter chase).
the final level is a pretty long and annoying helicopter battle.
the main problem in this stage is the fact that it starts immediately after the T-Rex Boss fight without refilling the players life bar.
so losing a lot of health during the T-Rex fight makes the final stage (almost) impossible to beat on first try.
Jurassic Park 2 on the snes was once my most hated videogame because of its difficulty but today,its one of my favorites :-)

High Peak Ptera stage is one of the best damn video game soundtracks I've ever heard

This game is a lot like Alien 3
I tried hard, but I could never beat this one.
And this has one of these best soundtracks of any video game I've ever played.
Excellent gameplay! Man, this game was the bane of my existence when I was a kid.
Ocean took no prisoners with their SNES Jurassic Park games. I really loved this one but I think only ever managed to beat the Gallimimus level, and even that was an absolute battle. What was so difficult for me was the levels are insanely long with occasional branching paths
I beat this game three times (going for four now). I have totally forgotten the level layouts and this video is super helpful!
My dad and I used to play this game COOP on snes back in the day before he disappeared. It was so awesome than you could share health, such a cool feature that not many games have even to this day.
Contra 3 the Alien wars has something similar. You can share lives (not that it will help)
I remember thinking this was the most beautiful and realistic game on console when it came out, but it felt like a rat maze
Very cool!! Hard mode is certainly no joke at all lol beating this game on Easy is actually super difficult, like barely doable until you really know what’s going on. It’s because the levels don’t have ANY checkpoints at all, which is just crazy! This is the next video I’m working on. Between the struggles, it’s nice to watch somebody that truly knows what they’re doing :) great work

@@Sporefrog08 yeah man haha... I recently got through this one for a video and it’s probably harder to get through on Hard than even notoriously tough games like Battletoads. The 3 lives for a game that is legit over an hour is horrendous.

This is an good game
This game saved my life once. I was stuck an island while in a trip visiting south america. Suddenly I was attack by what I idenditifed as two velociraptors. I was shocked when they started running after me, but then I remembered I simple have to jump over them while they charge. So I did that multiple times before running away to the boat. True story.

Played it in coop as a kid. The game almoat killed 2 controllers but we managed to get through. It was challanging but also really good.

the difficulty makes a huge difference imo, since the enemies have more health on hard mode but especially because of the annoying extra stage with the helicopter chase at the end.
but lets see what happens :)
What constitutes 100% in this case?
Edit: nice run, btw. I could tell there were a few times when it didn't go as smoothly as you'd have wanted -- you can absolutely beat this time. You have some skills.

I wish for Jurassic Park II: The Chaos Continues with 2 Players Hard Mode TAS
This game is good but it only missing passwords with each completed stage. Without this, the game becomes too difficult! Oh, and also a ending with the same quality of the opening. You beat the whole game thinking that it will have a good ending but it only have a boring "The End" on the screen.
I admit this Game was and still IS really difficult
Hate the fucking jumpers. Running throughout the stages, appearing out of nowhere and killing you faster than you could say STAHP.

yes but you can still use lethal weapons on raptors.they dont affect the counter.
If i recall u can play with dinosaurs if im not mistaken
not in JP2 but you can play with a raptor in JP1 on the sega genesis.

This game is hard because of the controls and movements . They are clunky as hell .
I wouldn't say that. the controls are actually pretty responsive. the game is still hard but for other reasons.

@@Dektoonics_inc. it is. One of the most ill-advertised at SNES and SEGA generation time. Got too much selling tips and articles in comparison with more serious Metal Slug, Mega Man, Contra. It's better to turn advertisement system around, so that it would take fee from all/every enough-cost participating in marketing company, but more mentions/spread nevertheless will get the ones which are most good
