Absolutely on fire every time they played live. Jackie standing there with his shoes gaffa taped together and Jo Shaw twisting gut wrenching noises from his guitar.
Wahey, Brilliant I love your imagery it fits the song really well, thank you. I saw them play at Friars club in Aylesbury, must have been about 1980 and they finished with this one. There were only about 30 people there and I remember wondering why is n't this place packed? I guess some of us like to have our minds blown and some of us don't!
Totally agree - this was mindblowing live (Venue, Victoria sometime around 1979/80 with some punk band supporting, and I promise nobody gobbed at Jackie Leven! You just knew not to)
@slaterchris - great post! always loved this criminally ignored band....I think you'll find it's Jackie Leven......(nothing to do with John Craven's NEWSROUND).....
Larz..you must learn how to listen. seen Jackie live about 3/4 years ago as a solo artist .still great singer;songwriter doing acoustic set. Doll by Doll were Brilliant, first time I heard this with my mates about 4 in the morning .. blown away by it
Sorry Larz its not for you to say its too long intro and ending, you producer you! Its a classic if you were in the crowd back in 1980's. I respect but disregard your comment.. xx

Great guitar by Joe Shaw, who was mesmerising on stage!
