Wow just reading (finally) Ian rankins Standing in another man’s grave. Always have to explore the music that goes with Rebus. Blown away by Jackie (RIP) and the keyboard dude is a maestro. Will definately be listening to more. Thanks all from NZ
You're right, Mike Cosgrave is indeed a maestro, and a phenomenal multi-instrumentalist, and a sickeningly decent singer too. It's not fair, but I'm fortunate enough to be in a band with him.
I’ve seen a lot of artists live, I’ve listened to lots of different music AND, this just might be the greatest song and performance I’ve ever heard. Well done that boy from Kirkcaldy.
No DVD. Was the last song of the concert and all the other cameras where done. Did a recording with ProTools and separated tracks of the whole show.... when there is some time I will check it out. Those were the old times where we still recorded on tape and in SD... so the video quality is not the best at all.
Just put down a Rankin/Rebus novel to check him out for the first time. Feel very close to Scotland and Scottish people over the last year or so, tweeting etc. Feel richer for it, including this latest discovery.
Rebus and Rankin both have their own way of duping readers with their charm, one with his actions, one with his words but what I like is both share the common taste in music :)
I've just heard voice of J Leven thanks Ian Rankin's last book :)... Greetings from Poland (if You read "Exit Music" You know that Inspector Rebus's origin is from Poland ;).... )
What a beautiful artist. He speaks to your soul.🌞
Throughout my life this man's music has kept me company, the most criminally underrated singer/songwriter ever. An absolute legend.
A massively underrated Genius.
jackie, where such a great musicman and storyteller. Miss you
Massively underrated talent.
Not one bad album in the entire canon.
Yes certainly & the amount of albums that would be realised through the fan club was incredible
What an excellent version! Glad, I stumbled over it. God bless this man - I really miss Jackie Leven.

Hi eternal love to Jackie
Truly amazing artist and song.
Unglaublich! Wie kann ein Mann mit solch einer Stimme keine Karriere gemacht haben?? Ist einfach nur genial!

Volblutmusiker...ja....genau. Danke....@@metzepeter
So pleased I heard the Big Man live here in Bristol. A genius, a poet never to be forgotten.
So good. Miss him although I only just found him.
I saw dollbydoll in 1977/78 Brolleys night club Richmond .. I was hooked then …
Nice to hear Ian Rankin's new book Standing in Another Man's Grave, dedicated to the memory of Jackie Leven.
I never knew Jackie when he was alive, but god I wish I did. Rest well.
You left me here. Standing in another man's rain. Thanks, Jackie.

Break my heart again, why don't you? Thanks for uploading this. Miss him so much.

God bless you Jackie...
Your work's a priceless offer to all of us... Pure artwork.
God bless you...
Great voice. Georgeous song. Thanks for recording this :-)
Miss you, Jackie.
sedl1221 - never mind the quality - upload Jackie! I miss him too. This gig is evidently Jackie on top form.
Me, too. I've discovered some wonderful talents through various novels that I would have been ignorant of..
Just finished the book...and the reason I'm watching the video now...

Great voice.. Ian Rankin recommended Jackie Levin and will use songs for his new Rebus book. Looking forward to both more Levin and Rebus.
That bought me to this! was curious to know what "Standing In Another Mans Grave' sounded like.
Today is the 5th anniversary of Jackie's death. Still sorely missed....
Don't worry he is Eternal Love
Ma big pal
