I would say Jerry Cantrell most likely was the one who was able to harmonize with no effort more so than Lenay… Together they are just unbelievable. By the way I still don’t get the concept why fifth/ and fourths are inverted?
Writing vocal harmony sometimes feels difficult to me, but it's so rewarding to hear. I've gotten some more inspiration from this video (and my favorite band of course), great video!
What about Above (mad season).the harmonies in this song are weird ill say , its something about low chesty Mark's voice, and a feeling that Layne is like trying to be intentionally little bit out of key
X Ray Mind is one of the weirdest! Layne is singing major 3rds while bass is playing in minor. I love it. So haunting and it's really giving the out of key vibe but not in a Bad way! The verses are also so out of this world 👀
It’s great to hear someone talking about theory! It can be lonely sometimes when you work with rock musicians that think theory will stunt her creativity. lol!
Thanks for the channel. That's exactly the Content fans of AIC need
Thank you! :):)
Layne was a natural at this, harmonies popped in his mind with no effort... by the way you are my new fav channel great content full of passion !
Thanks !!

Tbh glad you put in Got Me Wrong. You can hear the vocals really well in unplugged
So true! That unplugged is a great place for melody clarity
