  • Hello everyone and welcome to another quick 3D tutorial.
This is a video about how to setup your mesh for Softbody simulations.
And it's a side by side comparison of Quadremesher and the C4D Remesher tool.
Also I am not sponsored by them, but I really love their plugin.

I'm new to 3D world so I have ceratin questions if you can answer those:
    - Can we created this in blender which is free
    - If not then which C4D version to buy maxon, redshift or something else

Hey Vincent. Thanks for the tutorial. I have been a patron for a couple years and always enjoy your content. One question I have is regarding topology for soft bodies. I am currently learning houdini and it's been advised to tetrahedralize all incoming geo for soft bodies. then you can use a point deform and use the tetrahedralized sim to deform the high-res quad mesh, which you can then use for rendering. I was wondering If you had done any tests with triangulated meshes, or if C4D has a similar point(vertex?) deform system. It's incredible how dense the meshes Houdini can sim as soft bodies, but the process isnt as intuitive or enjoyable as C4D. The only tiny thing I don't like about C4D soft bodies is having to go into project settings to change values, that seems a little weird. I think I'll purchase quadremesher now
, lots of people seem to think its great. cheers

      Hey Sam,
since 26 the quardremesher is build in, so you don't need to buy that. Also C4D's new cloth engine is great, I hope they will implement that into softbodies as well.
