Thank you for being honest, accepting we all kill plants now and then is a journey for us all, its hard but it's going to make you more resilient. I think your Gloriousum probably went into shock losing such a large part of it's trunk, but I'm really getting used to restarting some plants, it happens all the time with outdoor gardening, guess we're not as used to it as indoor gardeners. Also this is exactly the sort of honest, quality content people need. Real. Raw. Honest. Growth mindset. Thank you
That’s a great trick! It’s actually rooted really well on its own. But I added a Pothos on not another propagation to test it out and it works so well! 🌿😊👏
aww... I got my hands on a gloriosum finally and am looking for care tips and I found your video. (I have been subscribed to your channel for several months but after this upload..) I felt your remorse and sadness throughout the video (and sighs.....) I've learned from your mistakes and I want to take good care of mine!! I will be watching the follow up video when I finish this. I hope yours are having a good time with you!♡
My parlor palm got spider mites and I couldn’t get them under control. First one of the palms died and I cut it off. All the while spraying. I didn’t know then that neem oil doesn’t work on spider mites. Then more and more of the individual palms died off. I finally threw it away in the garbage. I couldn’t stop the dying off and it brought me no joy so it had to go.
Ugh spider mites are the worst! I’m dealing with the same thing on my palm too, so I feel your pain. Sometimes it’s better to throw that plant away and start over, it’s not always worth the hassle 👏🤍🌿
Personally I have killed over 60 plants, and yet I run a 300 member plant club at work lol. It took me 60 plants before realizing what I was doing wrong but no shame in that. I mean.. for my wallet yea and those plants but it had to happen.
I have lost many plants myself. Even succulents. I generally do better with the tropicals since they generally survive while I try to repot or propagate them. I've had some that came back to life that gave up on! I feel that if i can manage to keep at least a 80% success rate, I am happy. 😊 The problem is that there are so many variables: light, heat, moisture and pests to name a few. Never give up! Aloha🪴

Try Putting a potho cutting in with the water Propagation. They produce a natural rooting hormone and will speed up the process.

Aw yay! Congrats on your new Gloriosum! Yeah definitely learning from my mistakes. But that’s the best way to learn in my opinion 🤷🏻♀️😊
I just got me one!! Totally in love! I loved watching this video and the way you say CHONK! lol Great video!
Thanks for sharing your experience! I am here because I am trying to save my billietiae, white princess, and mamei 🙈
One of my fav plants ♥️ I think they take off when their ready too 😘 I have A very long Gloriousum story . It has a good ending but took 2 years .
Oh wow 2 years?! Sounds like your hard work is paying off now, though.

I have a question. What do you do with the moss prop once it is in the bag? Full sun?

That’s the best way to learn. 👏👏 that’s pretty awesome that you run a plant club! 🪴🤍
Love your plants...but cvideos way too long....with so much talking.
Well, I have to talk to explain what I'm doing. Looks like I'm just not the youtuber for you.

I definitely won’t and a 80% success rate is pretty great! I feel the same with succulents - I can never keep them alive lol 🤷🏻♀️😂🌿
