ASEAN Music Arranged for Guitar Album “Sounds from the SEA”

“Sounds from the SEA” is classical guitar arrangements which comprised of 16
songs from 10 countries of the Southeast Asian region. Many of the selected pieces
have been transcribed into several versions for various instrumentations, even for solo
guitar. For some pieces, the origin is unknown, but they still sound familiar nowadays.
The concept for arranging was to blend the melodic “Eastern Sounds” with the
“Western Source”. To accomplish the goal of making the unfamiliar sound familiar, all
pieces arranged with standard guitar tuning, and even borrowed idea from classical
guitar masterpieces to create ASEAN GUITARISTIC MUSIC.
