The company commander is completely over the top. You don't need lines of sight, experience doesn't matter. And way more.... The game should no longer be called a historical game. That's what happens when you take a good set of rules and change a lot under duress.

I would just be interested to know why Warlord Games decided to make such, sometimes very contradictory, rule changes. To me, the rulebook reads like a collection of ideas but nothing was really thought through to the end.
My biggest concern is the cover save. It doesn't "streamline" anything, contrary to their claims. And from the reps I've seen so far, it makes the games more drawn out, so when turn 6 comes, there are still a lot of models on the table. I see it as Priestly trying to "40K" the rules a bit more. I preferred when it affected to-hit rolls. But time will tell. Aside from that, I'm satisfied with the new edition.

…to be fair what you have written is correct, I find those bits annoying too, but I see it as a game and just go with it. I have started playing Chain of Command too which is a great game 👍🏻
@theministryofminiatures In my opinion, it's just a shame. You could have built on V2 and had an incredibly good game. There are also a few positive changes.
