I love that ithis kit will give me useful minis not just for my Bolt Action army, but also for my Chain of Command platoon and support choices. Pioniers, Panzerknackers, and honestly better looking Riflemen than even the Grenadiers kit. I am so impatient for my order to arrive!
I already had this and the new German book on preorder can’t wait till January and now their coming out with new us troops and book too that I’ll have to get I’m going to go broke with all the new stuff coming out so much to paint
Incorrect the primary GPMG supplied to the units in stalingrad was the mg34 and other foreign designs. Mg 42s were supplied in limited numbers but were the original models with the "club foot" charging handle that caused some issues

Looks great! Could these be used for late war western front troops?
They could but you would be better off with late war grenadiers if you are going strictly late war. Perhaps mix some of these in.

I have some similar soldiers, result of mix blitzkrieg soldiers, late war grenadiers and afrika korps

By mid war the German infantry was armed with the MG 42. MG 34 would be early war. MG 42 was the primary MG used in Stalingrad, for example.
