DIY Canister Filter Using 2 Glass Containers

Today I will share another small project about building a canister filter using 2 glass containers. The containers I have selected for this aquarium filter are made of glass with a hard plastic airtight lid. Both containers have been tested for water leak prior to building DIY canister filter. Each canister can hold 1.7L of water and together they have capacity of 3.4 LPH.
One canister holds only mechanical filtration while the second canister is filled with biological filtration. The pump I have used in this DIY canister filter has a flow rate of 200 L/H and the tank it will filter has a capacity of 20L. You can setup your canister filter diy they way you want it.

I will add filters to both bowls, much easier to maintain with fish. Filter less tank takes quite a bit of time to establish. Thanks mate

@@Fishaholic Oh yeah we’ve had many over the years we started out Cap without filters for quite a few months but put a little sponge filter in just for some aeration and just stays so crystal clear it’s like why not we have an update on that and the princess tank later today it’s a fun one

This should definitely do the job but you would need a pump with higher flow rate. I would say 4 to 5 times the tank's capacity
