We seem to have had it wrong so many times with the way we have responded in the past-hence why the world seems to keep repeating the same cycles. Once you become aware of your own power over your own self, switch your vibrations and thoughts to positive so that your energy increases and inevitably goes out into the world to spread unto others-everything will change in your own reality. So yes, I can sit here and choose to collectively manifest horrible things onto the world, but I’m choosing to shift my perspective so that I can instead be part of the energy that brings light back onto our world. There’s a mass shift and awakening happening in our world right now. We get to choose if we want to stay in the world we’ve been told we are to have or we get to choose our own path and live in our purpose and truth no matter what. This is wonderful but I really love that slowed down choral version you did with Gaia. Considering the amount of attention it got it may be worth doing a second slowed down version with a choral gospel feel
Beautiful. Some interesting choices as far as lyrics and the album title. The overall message of this song sounds like a parent imparting to a child, but then there is the "you came to sing your song, they just came to record you." Makes me think of how frustrating it can be for today's performers, particularly in a live setting. Then the title of the album "When a Crooner Dies" when you consider the progression of musical styles that he has gone through since his first album which was songs mostly from musicals as vocal jazz. Certainly this direction was musically referenced on his last album "Mr" which opened with "Stronger Magic" - a tune that started out sounding like a jazz standard and then pivoted away from that quite radically production wise.
I just had to comment after watching this video. I knew Mr Odom jr was a singer but I didn’t realize how dog gone good he was at singing until listening to this video. He is also an extremely good and exceptional actor as well. And even though quite a few people didn’t like his latest movie, the exorcist believer, I personally felt that he really carried the weight of the movie and he did a great job with his role as the concerned father in the film. But again, his singing voice is out of this world.
I'm a huge LOJ fan, but my unbiased opinion is that he did indeed carry that movie. Unfortunately it wasn't a hit, but I hope to see him in more roles!
