I bought a Z sport 2 months ago. I am planning on upgrading things as they wear out. At my own pace and probably for less money. For example, I have already added a carbon fiber spoiler that I like better and looks more aggressive than the little body colored one on the performance. And I didn't have to worry about plugging holes in my hatch to do it.
Just stumbled across your channel it popped up as a recommended results since I was looking at this topic in reviews on this car I love your channel. The base model is the way to go with any car definitely looking to one of these or possibly an automatic GT Mustang based level as well not sure I have to see both of these in person, I’m legally blind and car crazy so the wife know there’s have to drive it for me to be automatic. Keep up the great work and I’m glad I found your channel. I’m following it now.

Think I would go over and spend a little more for the second trim level up which usually the sweet spot of wall models the performance I’m finding them cheaper discount so that way, so we’ll see next year or sometime, keep you updated. i'm looking into buying the new Z i agree saving 10k$+taxes and fees is great i want to race and plan on replacing the diff and brakes for better ones im happy nissan kept the engine and transmission there compared to a 40k supra/minicooper , its a true enthusiast
Thanks brother. I was wondering the past two weeks if the Sport is the smarter option over the performance since I will be adding new parts as time goes.
The Base models of most cars are 90% of the time the way to go.. Most PPL end up Doing a new exhaust and wheels plus tires on their cars later on anyway.. I see PPL buy a new car and then they spend thousands more doing Mod's to them.. If your that type of person who likes wrenching and Mod'ing cars, the base Model will be the way to go.. Me personally I don't mind some light Mod'ing but I'm not that guy who is out every weekend, blowing my money, and busting his hands up, while ruining the value of a New'ish car with aftermarket parts that don't appeal to everyone..
I’m with you I like the base trim level of any car. It’s what you really need and nothing you don’t. I definitely looking into buying a base model. One of these soon that are a base model GT Mustang not sure yet.
Bingo on the savings to install fun parts. Buy the bigger brake kit and install a different set of wheels since you were going to anyways. So let's say your 5 grand into it then, some performance and visual upgrades and your on your way. So what is the cost then? So it's a base model with a sport package?
I will add there at least 2 options that are on every sport, floormats and kick panels. There has also been a recent price increase mid year. So at least $45k is what you will encounter now in real life. Performance is still at least $10k more.
LSD and brakes are a weekend project and not worth 10k. If you're worried about "driver features" and screen size, then the Z probably isn't the car for you anyway. But seriously where did Nissan find an open diif in 2024... i thought we were past those days..... reminds me of the "power window option." I thought open diffs went the way of the dodo 🦤

Agreed 💯 no need for the upgrades. Especially if it has interest, it's actually more than 10k depending on the percentage.

The Sport is the base model. Nissans suggested retail is $42k for the Sport.
