I have the only green lawn in my sub division in Hancock. My front yard was sod with Kentucky bluegrass and it’s very very green. My back yard has tall fescue and it’s just ok.

I would assume your front yard gets a good amount of shade then. If its not shaded and has a lack of water, it will turn brown fast in this heat.

@@BlueDuckLawnCare it’s definitely get the proper amount of water. I just signed up for you to aerate and oversee my side and back yard this fall. I am going to have you all aerate the front yard but I’m going to see that myself since its Kentucky blue grass

I HATE GRASS, MY LAWNS, EVERY SINGLE THING LAWN RELATED, I'M JUST SO SICK OF IT ALL!!!! I HAVE OTHER THINGS I LIKE AND WANT TO SPEND MY TIME AND MONEY ON, SCREW THE GRASS!!! AERATED AND OVER-SEEDED EVERY YEAR?!?!? ARE YOU SMOKING ANGEL DUST?!?!? Where I am, theres absolutely zero people who actually know anything about actual lawn-care, all these 3rd world wet-backs know how to do is cut mow and blow!!! THATS IT!!! Ask them an actual lawn question, or mention Tenacity or something like that and you get the Deer in the headlights look, so if you dont do it yourself, just plan on having beds of weeds as a lawn😮

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and I can hear the frustration in your message. Lawn care can definitely be a tough and frustrating process, especially when it feels like you’re not getting the right support or expertise you need.
While your passion for this topic is evident, I would encourage us to keep the conversation respectful and constructive. It's important to recognize that the people in this industry come from diverse backgrounds, and their work is valuable.

@@BlueDuckLawnCare The only valuable work is GOOD WORK, people who actually know what they're doing across the spectrum of whatever it is that they've involved themselves in, any monkey can cut grass but I've yet to find any of these so-called "landscapers" who actually know a thing about planting, seeding, what the hell a pre-emergent is or anything else for that matter. I get a kick out of all of these RUclipsrs with their "free clean-up" videos, most of them leave a bigger mess and problem behind them while they act like they did some kind of miraculous work for the lord or something, meanwhile anybody with a mower, blower, trimmer and some time and energy can do the same thing. I'm always amazed at how the lazy neighbors just sit there and watch an empty house next to theirs grow out of control and then complain. They fail to mention that the utter mess these guys leave behind is gonna turn brown, attract a ton of insects, stink to high heaven and just grow back in a couple of weeks. I'm the only one it seems who actually comments the truth about how if you dont bag that crap and take it with you all you just created is a smelly hay field for "the neighborhood". The gist of my situation is that I'm here in NYC and all of these monkeys with their dirty pick-up trucks pulling a trailer don't know anything more than cut-mow-blow, this is why I've had to utterly kill myself and spend a small fortune renovating my property. Everybody here on RUclips seems to have their own magic potion and a ton of contradictions when applied to every other person's recipe for a green lawn. I hung on a cross having to teach myself everything i could learn about how to finally get this all done and paid a heavy price both financially and physically with each mistake I made. Im still having every kind of issue imaginable, Jonathan Green Black-Beauty Ultra seeds suck and that grass just melts in the sun, I grew beautiful lawns here just to watch them all turn brown and die because it got a little hot, so now what?? I did everything totally by the book, i have every piece of equipment, i bought every top of the line product and this is all just a ridiculous nightmare that seems to never stop or get better, I've learned that you have to be nuts, compulsive or just have no life to make this consume you, like it has with me these last 2 years. If i had the money to burn I'd just concrete everything and be done with it because this is crazy. Think about what you're saying here, who in their right mind is, or would be dethatching, aerating and over-seeding every year??? Who in God's name has that time, money and physical energy?? If thats what you have to do to maintain a nice lawn, then lawns be damned 😰
