I water in the mornings so mowing for me is after 7pm closer to 8. So it doesn't stress the grass. I have the greener lawn on the block. Good info 👍🏽 yard bro
My son lives in your neighborhood, we’re installing a sprinkler system after the heat is over, he said he’d grow toe to toe with you through the rest of the season 🤙🏻
Aye!!! Player 2 challenge accepted! Lol let him know if he needs to borrow the roll aerator or the dethatcher just stop on by! Thanks for watching!!! 🤙🏾
Cheeee!! Giveum brahdda!! Hawaii is getting fricken hot too!! Just sprayed some hydretain last week and my lawn is already bouncing back from the heat stress. The sun here is getting intense!
Front is a mix of Scott’s sun and shade mix…. so rye blue and fescues then I also added barenbrug landscaper mix and turf blue pro which is a bunch of different blue grasses ☺️ thanks for watching!!!
put an application yesterday morning before it go to 107F on a warm season grass.. lol neighbors weedwacker flings the nutsedge onto the edge of my parents lawn.
@@YardBrah i dont see how else it does since i bag most of the time and never pull them out by hand. Sedgehammer works well and doesn't damage the st.augustine when applied correctly. it does take a while though since it kills the root first then the blades, but after the 3rd day of application i run the mover over it since sedgehammer has affected the roots.
It really depends on square footage and other factors but you need to lay down 1 1/2 inches of water per week to keep it nice in the summer im laying down 2” per week but if I see mushrooms growing I’ll dial down back to 1.5 inches. My front lawn likes everyother day twice a day 10 minutes each zone 4 zones 1500 sqft 80 minutes on watering day but the back yard likes 30 minutes per zone every 3 days it’s doesn’t like every other day 😂😂😂 but general rule of thumb calculate how many gallons per minute your water gives then calculate how many inches it will put down per the time…. Man I should do a video of how I calculated that thanks for reminding me! 😊🙏🏾🙏🏾🤙🏾
@@YardBrah Thanks! I hear different stories like 30 mins twice a week is better then more often because this way the water gets in deep to the root vs shallow if done more frequently. I think it all boils down to how hot it is and what soil you have. Good idea on making a video on how to calculate water.
Man, 100+ degrees, where's your location, I'm in Ga.,your lawn still looking good, I put Milo down myself for the heat. Question for you, How you are liking your Sun Joe 15" Battery Reel Mower cutting your lawn??, just bought one and haven't use it yet, i have a Bermuda lawn, like the content.
NO WAY YOURE IN WASHINGTON!? I’ve been following and didn’t know what area? I’m in central WA and summer was crazy and since I’m new to lawn care it roasted my lawn ☹️ I’m watching all your videos and I’ll be prepared for next season!

Have you tried mulching? Free fertilizer plus it will shade the roots and prevent moisture evaporation.
