I like how this was one of the series that wasn't afraid to make Transformers asymmetrical, and not just in the "One has an arm cannon" type of asymmetry, but in a "the front of the car is on one arm while the other doesn't" or a "the front of the vehicle mode is the left leg while the back is the right leg" type of asymmetry. Even Optimus' Battle Mode was asymmetrical. A lot of Transformers are typically Symmetrical with the primary exception being an arm or shoulder cannon. This one had asymmetry all over the place.

To make it more confusing, the Spy changers would be the Stunticons, the Commandos the Combaticons, and the Build Team the Constructicons, and Sky-Bite would be Sharkticon, and Fortress Maximus Trypticon because hey he can become three things right? I dunno what Team Bullet Train would be called since I only know one Train Decepticon, which is Astrotrain. Still, sounds crazy, huh?

The uncensored version aired in the UK and Canada.

The Decepticons were Scourge and the Decepticon Commandos which were Mega-Octane, Ro-Tor, Armorhide, Rollbar and Movar who all formed Ruination. The Predacons were Megatron/Galvatron, Sky-Byte, Slapper, Dark Scream and Gas Skunk.

Kinda? This is somewhat counted as being within the Beast Era, since the bad guys are the Predacons. And in Japan, the Autobots actually are Maximals disguised as Autobots, and they and the Preds went back in time to "mordern" earth from the future of Beast Wars II.
The US market simplified it, cut ties with the Japanese G1 continuity, and pretended it was a reboot as to not confuse people.

Yes it was on Fox. It was brought over from japan after Beast Machines failed to get a sequel called Beast Wars: "Transtech". RD was an in betweener so that Armada could finish production. Although, despite "certain" fans hating the Beast Machines series, Transtech was going to be incredible. Just look up some concept art for it, it looks as if Fall of Cybertron was to come about much earlier.
