I think one of the greatest charms of Willie's videos is not only the humor and the cozy, "talking with a friend" vibe, but also the little moments of introspection at the end. It's always very relatable and usually has some great advice about self-esteem, mental health, etc. It's really nice.

Truthfully, it might just make you niche, but niche isn't bad. It just might be different than what others connect as much too, and that's not a deficit in you, that's just how society works. People often gravitate towards what feels either familiar or aspirational. I hope you don't change too much to try to grow your audience because there are people who find you familiar and therefore comforting to be around because we're similar. Familiar and unfamiliar aren't value judgments, and common perceptions of what's aspirational are often unhealthy. Personally, I love your content and your personality. I think if a friend of yours was judged by others how you judge yourself when you think people must not like you, you'd probably think that was bullshit. We're all so much meaner to ourselves than our similar friends though.

willie I NEED you to cover the reconciler. it’s a low budget christian film about forgiving your enemies that is for some reason presented via the exact same premise as saw(!!!!). the big plot twist is that actual real life christian god is the one saw trapping people but like, for the love of christ so it’s a good thing. granted idk how funny it is to people who don’t pick up on all the beat-for-beat plot/character copying but it is EXTREMELY funny to me personally

Hey Willie, I've got a suggestion. There's this old cartoon movie I used to watch over and over as a child called Elmchanted Forrest. It's about an artist who encounters a bunch of crazy forrest critters, fairies and such. The one part that sticks in my memory the most was the horrifying mushroom scene. Maybe give it a watch and I can re-experience it through your creative lenses. Keep up the great work!

American Movie absolutely broke me and my friend. Watched it thinking it was a bit but turns out to be a real documentary about this guy trying to make a movie. Absolutely insane.

You should consider watching The Joe Schmo Show (2003, 10 episodes, Season One). The premise is a guy thinks he’s competing on a reality show but everyone else is an actor. As it progresses, you love the guy as he sweetly navigates many outrageous ‘twists’ and ‘reveals’. It ends very wholesomely. It might be interesting to look back in light of the recent Nathan Fielder show about Jury Duty.
Would be interesting to see a dive into older reality shows, like the swan one with plastic surgery or that one Bachelor adjacent show of that dude in Australia, called Outback Jack. I also vaguely remember a Bachelorette-ish show with dudes that all wore masks until the ending, kind of a proto-Love is blind of somethinf

How about "Touched by an Angel" as a potential series? That show kept airing on polish tv back when I was little, and I watched it often before developing my brain enough to realize "christian" isn't the default state of stories and I can choose to avoid hearing about praising the lord or whatever. I don't know if I'd chance watching it now, but my memories of it are... mostly postive? I remember only glimpses, but none of them seem malicious. And at 211 episodes, you're almsot certain to find something to riff on.
Please watch Kid Nation! The show gives some Lord of the Flies meets Survivor vibes for sure. They thankfully only made one season in 2007 because it was that batshit crazy! The parents of these children signed the wildest waivers and releases. It was leaked and is a shocking read... It’s unfortunately not available anywhere in decent quality legally. PBS wants it to be forgotten and I think it’s a perfect blend of absolutely horrifying and hilarious that needs to be shared. I highly doubt this will get many upvotes, but you should still check it out, even if not for any video(s..?).

German prince just sounds like another con artist, like the Nigerian prince. I didn't know the German royal family still existed or had titles. So that's the only thing her mom did right was double check the new guy. Hell if someone in my family said they were dating a prince I would investigate too.
Technically speaking, there has been no aristocracy in Germany for a hundred years, and titles were converted to family names. But there are still some weird people who have aristocratic ancestors and inherited wealth, and move in their own circles. Most people will never hear about them though, unless they are into gossip magazines.

Love your style and delivery as is! It's what I come here for no matter what you're talking about. Suggestion for future vids? I do like the reality tv stuff, but I think what resonates most is the shows where it feels like the people involved are (at least to some degree) genuinely going for something, and how you related what they were going through to your own efforts to build your channel, or other stuff going on in your life. I think that's what I especially liked about the ANTM series. Maybe Farmer Wants a Wife or Capture? Or other competition show from the Obama years?

The premise is a guy thinks he’s competing on a reality show but everyone else is an actor. As it progresses, you love the guy as he sweetly navigates many outrageous ‘twists’ and ‘reveals’. It ends very wholesomely. It might be interesting to look back in light of the recent Nathan Fielder show about Jury Duty.

How about "Touched by an Angel" as a potential series? That show kept airing on polish tv back when I was little, and I watched it often before developing my brain enough to realize "christian" isn't the default state of stories and I can choose to avoid hearing about praising the lord or whatever. I don't know if I'd chance watching it now, but my memories of it are... mostly postive? I remember only glimpses, but none of them seem malicious. And at 211 episodes, you're almsot certain to find something to riff on.

Please watch Kid Nation! The show gives some Lord of the Flies meets Survivor vibes for sure. They thankfully only made one season in 2007 because it was that batshit crazy! The parents of these children signed the wildest waivers and releases. It was leaked and is a shocking read...
It’s unfortunately not available anywhere in decent quality legally. PBS wants it to be forgotten and I think it’s a perfect blend of absolutely horrifying and hilarious that needs to be shared.

In regards to the next video, I truly adore all of your reality TV show videos, and I hope that eventually you get back around to ANTM because I will never actually watch it, but watching you talk about it is the BEST. But to be honest, if you had something to say about the telephone book, I would listen to you talk about it, so do whatever you would enjoy! If you're having a good time, so am I. :)
Video idea: I would love to hear your thoughts on the Todd Haynes movie Superstar, the life story of Karen Carpenter recreated with Barbie dolls! I think it was his first film, and he has gone on to create some fantastic movies. But Superstar is just so weird and surreal, and I would love to hear your interpretation!

German prince just sounds like another con artist, like the Nigerian prince. I didn't know the German royal family still existed or had titles. So that's the only thing her mom did right was double check the new guy. Hell if someone in my family said they were dating a prince I would investigate too.
Technically speaking, there has been no aristocracy in Germany for a hundred years, and titles were converted to family names. But there are still some weird people who have aristocratic ancestors and inherited wealth, and move in their own circles. Most people will never hear about them though, unless they are into gossip magazines.

I listen to your videos while at work now too! The way you tell the story is engaging and feels like I’m just listening to a friend tell me about something they discovered. I also love the knitting! The wall of sponsors is so sweet and I find needing to do something while talking to focus very relatable

Suggestion for future vids? I do like the reality tv stuff, but I think what resonates most is the shows where it feels like the people involved are (at least to some degree) genuinely going for something, and how you related what they were going through to your own efforts to build your channel, or other stuff going on in your life. I think that's what I especially liked about the ANTM series. Maybe Farmer Wants a Wife or Capture? Or other competition show from the Obama years?
