@@personcalledalexis OP just made a typo, but to answer your question: Whenever someone is speaking for longer than a single paragraph, without any other sentences breaking up their speech, it’s proper to not close the quotations at the end of the first paragraph because that signifies the end of the current person speaking. But you do still add a quotation mark to the beginning of the next paragraph to denote it’s still speech. It’s to avoid potentional confusion about whether the same speaker is still talking or if another person is replying to them
i love how seymour's mother just has to comment that the house is fine it's like she predicted that the house was going to go up in flames but she was surprised it wasn't
I actually thought of it as her asking him if the house was fine (hence "is the house fine?" rather than "the house is fine"). I guess she's just convinced that Seymour will fuck up the house whenever he has guests over. Or when he cooks.
I thought Seymour's mother said "Seymour is the house fire?" as if she was trying and failing to use cool slang. The deadpan "yes mother" makes that so much funnier too.
A bit bland for my taste. I like to position the ham inside a circle of fresh hot burgers. The mini-tub of French fries stands on a separate stool by the ketchumayo fountain if some guests need more than just a slim appetizer.
Let's be honest if I had a roast beef it be laid on some french fries with a bit of mash carrots leaks while hot gravy is being poured all over it but that's just me
I definitely respect the dedication and effort more, but i find both to be hilarious. Sentence mixing for a more cohesive story, and AI for a more surreal, absurdist experience
I like how the only dialogue at that dinner was "you know I'm from Utica?" "yes" "i see" and that's it, nothing more, he came to remind him he is from upstate. Perfectly reasonable, as someone from the Albany region I often visit to remind this of them over a dinner of steamed hams! a wonderful upstate New York tradition!
Hey thanks for this, last time someone made something like this they ended it as a dream Skinner was having as he was dying from smoke inhalation while the house was on fire and that shit lived in my head rent free for years.
I find it funny that he gives superintendent chalmers an actual steamed ham while in the original it was supposed to be steamed clams, meaning the entirety of this possibility hinges on seymour making a steamed ham and not steamed clams.
Man imagine how boring life will be if everything goes as planned. You will be more noticeable of existance being pointless. Troubles makes you feel the experience and that gives a meaning and a purpose.
In a later season they showed chalmers attending service at a synagogue, so technically serving ham would be a violation of chalmers’s religious dietary restrictions
I like how Chalmers was just ripping pieces off and eating them like a birthday cake.
