    Hey thanks to your video and your link to the bimmerforums, I was able to install keyless entry remote on a pre-wired US Spec OBDII 318ti! The process of getting the remotes programmed seemed to be the same. To anyone looking to do it, you just need the correct equipment and then get the timing correct during programming. Easier when you have someone to help with the trunk.

    My car didn't come with the keyless entry remote. Bought one that was similar to a Subaru and it worked! Same color you have in the video, black and gray.

      Yes, Subaru and BMW used the same fob! Glad you got yours setup!

      I know it’s an old comment, any way you’d have a link to what you bought? Found one on Amazon same thing my dad has on his Subaru and one of the part numbers matches my module thing in my e36

      @jet4463 most of them should work, if it's reasonably cheap worth the try

    Can you pair the module with any remote key? I want the OEM key but need the module. Shouldn’t it still pair with that procedure?

      I have the same question

    • @senorvac3228
      @senorvac3228 4 месяца назад

      It won't pair unless you change the key module, which is a tedious process

    There's a single plug coming off the 12pin, has blue plastic on in. What does that plug into?

    Did you ever figure out how to get the hazards to flash when you lock and unlock I just installed the module and siren on my 98 m3 and can’t figure it out

    • @senorvac3228

      Depends on the model yeah, i believe it's programmable via the bimmer app through the obd port, or just tap a wire from the signal directly on the hazard switch wires

    How did you hide the wire from the red button?

    • @senorvac3228
      @senorvac3228 4 месяца назад

      Easiest way is just tucking it under the plastics and to help your self taking put the cubby under the climate controls so that you can take out the slot where he put it in the video

    • @E36tyler
      @E36tyler  2 года назад +1

      Yes, your car should have the module. You can pull the glovebox and it should be there behind it.

    Hey does those remote would work on a bmw e36 325i obd1. If so would i need just to program it or would i have to get a obd1 control

    • @E36tyler
      @E36tyler  2 года назад

      Yes, you just need the correct module to be paired with it. You can run a late model system on an early model car as long as the fob and module are both late models.
