Not only the double take mirrors don't break, but by flexing out of the way on a crash, they protect from the worse damage, like breaking the handle bars cluster, in the case of motorcycles where mirrors are attached to them.
Indeed, you are correct! I've seen stock mirrors grenade the clamp before.. turns out a loose throttle assembly can be problematic!! 😬
They certainly found the right couple for their mirrors.
A couple of regular Crash Test Dummies!! 😅
Money well spent on Doubletake's part. They got a great promo video for the cost of a set of mirrors. Bravo! Sponsors take note.
Not a bad trade, IMO... Truth told though, we only did the video because we use and believe in the product. Just like Givi & Klim, we only work with companies we believe in.
With Doubletake, there was never any discussion of sponsorship or any sort of official relationship. This niche of the moto community is pretty tight, so it's easy to meet cool people and make friends! 👍
6 years on the road? Wow, wish I could! Next year i´ll do 4 months in South America and your videos are so inspirational and helpfull! Congrats! Best regards from Brazil!
Thanks for the kind words!! We loved our time in Brazil! Where are you planning on traveling?
@@TwoWheelsThreeSheets Youre more then welcome! Glad that you liked Brazil....i've noticed the flag in the shield!lol I'love US as well. Beautiful country! We went to California to watch ACDC at Power Trip Festival and then went to Monument Valley, Yosemite, Lake Tahoe....outstanding!
Probably we're, me and my wife, gonna leave on December 20th. Making plans. Intending going up until Bogota and then to Villa O'hinggs and then Torres del Paine. The itinerary isn't done yet...I do accept tips from professionals!lol We've been to Ushuaia by Carretera Austral and Ruta 40...but unfortunately spent only 35 days and 16k kilometers....
Very cool! You're certainly no stranger to Patagonia, then. If you have time heading south through Peru, I'd recommend spending as much time in and around Huascarán National Park in the Cordillera Blanca.
@@TwoWheelsThreeSheets Awesome! thank u very much!
Even your “commercials” are awesome.
We only sell out with style!!! 😁
I followed your trip all the way down from Patagonia. I'm glad to hear you're back safe, but sad the adventure is over (at least this one, looking forward to following you on the next one).
Now that you're home, can you make a detailed video about the bike, the good, the bad, mods, and updates? Riding and camping gear, too.
I recently got a 2018 ATAS. I'm planning to explore North America over the next year or two, and then go south. Your bike info would be golden.
Cheers to you and Rose ✌🏻
Hey, thanks so much for following along. We appreciate the support! But fear not, we still have over a year's worth of content left that we are still busy editing, and the best is yet to come...
As far as gear reviews, set-up, and tips... yes, we are putting together a new playlist with various videos of just that.
It'll be sporadic since we are still editing or South American footage, as well as putting together a multi-media presentation, but it will happen! 👍
Loved it!
Great product
The old vids really show how durable the doubletake mirrors are
And how durable Rose is
Bwaa ha ha... after the Apocalypse, it'll just be cockroaches, Doubletake Mirrors, and Rose! 😅
I keep my bikes in a garge behind a narrow lane. The Doubletake mirrors allow me to fold the mirrors across the middle of the bars to get my bikes through.
I actually use one pair of mirrors on 2 bikes, funnily enough with a set if harder solid balls on the second bike
Well done! Yes, being able to fold the mirrors out of the way on ferry crossings comes in quite handy as well!!
Nice mirror. I think I need to try this
Indeed you do - you won't be disappointed!
Before filming the kick in the balls part you made sure she was not angry with you how? Flowers and dinner or two days of "Sorry for everything I have ever done." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ha! No need... When Rose hurts me, she's smart enough to do it when the cameras aren't running!! 🤣
Hahaha great plug.. been meaning to buy a set. Now, better than ever..
btw, how many takes did it take before Rose was satisfied with that kung fu side kick 😆
They're the only mirror to get! A buddy of mine bought a knockoff set a couple of years ago on Mercado Libre. His first get-off, the cheap plastic neck snapped, and the glass shattered.
Nothing better than landing in a pile of broken glass!!! 😬
We did the nut-kick scene 3 times. But I'm uncrushable!
@@TwoWheelsThreeSheets haha I hear that episode of Beavis and butthead in my head... "Kick meh in the Jimmy!!!" You da man!
@TexasTacoKiller 😅
Nice 👍 When does your next video come out?
This Saturday morning @ 8:00 Eastern Daylight Time!! 💪
Best videos 😁
🖤
Now that we’re through addressing your big balls or cojones, so your your back home, care to share with us all what’s on your next heading, or do you have a next in the near future, I’m sure you do, you’ve had an awesome run way down south and videos I go back to occasionally, well guess will have to wait and see I suppose, me and my compadre will be loading up near end of next month and will be trekking north towards all or pretty much all of the Canadian provinces and make our way west towards Alaska, so anywho can’t wait to see what you have up your sleeve, in the words of C.B., Hang in there. Rob
Hey Rob! We actually just had a couple of Dutch friends that left our place yesterday en route to the Dempster Highway, so if you see a couple of CRF 300s up there, be sure to stop.& say HI!
We're going to be stateside for a while planning our next move. I love me some mountains, so the Himalayas are at the top of my list, but time will tell...
But fear not - we still have a year's worth of footage to edit, and the best is yet to come. We're trying to get back on a weekly schedule, but our first couple weeks back in the States has been a bit hectic, to say the least!!
@@TwoWheelsThreeSheets thanks for responding my brotha
Always! 🍻
Wait...from Bolivia to LA? What did I miss?
Ha ha... not a thing. Our next video covers crossing the border from Bolivia into Peru. After the last few years on the road, we're a bit behind on editing, but fear not. There's plenty more to come!!
Fall down seven times, get up eight times - that's what makes traveling fun!
Oh man... I haven't bothered counting how many times we've had to get back up!! 😬🤣
@@TwoWheelsThreeSheets That's right! It's part of any adventure!
@massy8823au 😁
Was that a pair of pink pants in the post?!
Those were Chad's...
Is double take mirror new arm made of metal or plastic?
Plastic.
The ones I received today are made from aluminum.
Really??? 🤔
lol crush proof balls
New & improved!!! 💪
1:34 Rose becomes a turtle
I actually had to flip her back over!!
When is your next trip
Not quite sure yet. Perhaps the Himalayas...
All the best for your next trip.
Funny ass video as well
Thank you! 😁
I have a question Chad...has Rose ever come off the bike and kicked you while on the ground?? Never has a woman been dumped so much!! 🤣
Bwaa!!! 😅 Not yet, but don't give her any ideas!!
