My grandfather was a steel worker and lost half of his little finger in an accident. But he told a story about a coworker who had cut off 2 fingers. Then, upon returning to work, was demonstrating how it happened… and actually cut off 2 more fingers. Key takeaway: never turn the saw on, when demonstrating how an accident happened.
A construction worker came into Shock Trauma center with a nail in his chest. He was standing behind a wall when someone on the other side was using a nail gun on drywall. It went straight through the wall and almost killed him.

My husband worked in a factory. One co-worker had his hand crushed by a machine. After he returned to work, OSHA came in to investigate. They asked him how his hand got stuck in the machine. Idiot put his hand down and let the machine do it again!
